The property in itself is great, the surrounding area a little scary at first. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. Easy access to bus routes to Palermo as well as beautiful Mondello Beach and its restaurants.

Excellent property for a vacation. Only negative is that the GPS takes you to the front of the property whilst the parking area is located completely behind in a very difficult place to find. The staff was nice enough to drive with us to the parking.

The host was wonderful. He sent an email within minutes of our booking and instructions. He was a delight--so friendly. Driving up to the place seems in a bad area but after that area it is very nice. Breakfast was lite and I wish there were more things like fresh juice and bacon and eggs but the room and bed was comfortable and clean.

A Gem of a Hotel

B&B Liberty sur mer has a lovely quiet courtyard and pool that is so appreciated after a long day in the busy streets of Palermo. The gem of the place though is Serena who so graciously offers help and is willing to accomodate very late arrivals and special requests for breakfast. She truly cared and took interest in our experience in Palermo making it a very memorable trip. The rooms were very clean and spacious and the property has lots of greenery to enjoy. We highly recommend it!

Great Experience

Excellent service. We were contacted via WhatsApp with recommendations before our arrival, including experiences in Palermo and Sicily in general. When we arrived, we were greeted by friendly and welcoming people who were kind and service-minded throughout our stay. The location was right on the outskirts of Palermo, in a quiet and lovely neighborhood, with easy access to the city, the beach, and more.

Check was done by WhatsApp, there a miss understanding regarding breakfast for my wife, but Rajiu really helped out and grab some gluten free bread and cake for my wife which was really nice of him to take time out to accommodate, Rajiu was a great help througout our stay, without Rajiu I think the place would be as nice of a place to stay, thanks Rajiu!

So bad that I couldn't stay there!

Is the worst place that I ever been, nothing is like on photos. Aircondition is not working. All hause is smells on cigarets smoke. The hause is full of retairment people playing on cards. Pool without lights dirty.

When we first arrived we were very disappointed because the streets were too small for the taxi to negotiate so we had to walk the last 300 meters or so through what seemed like a very rundown area and a working boatyard directly next-door. However, we quickly came to realy like the place and the area. Its a relatively poor neighbourhood, but its working families and multi-generational famiies living happy, honest lives. There are also many more decent restaurants than we realised, and a well-stocked supermarket within 5 to 10 minutes walk. There's a couple of 5 star rated restaurants within 10 mins walk, and one of the best pizza's I've ever tasted 5 mins away and it's ridiculously good value! The bus stop is 5 ins walk, by the Euro spin supermarket. The bus numbers and routes align with google maps public transport directions, but the frequency is way out. All in all, had a great time after the initial disappointment and would recommend. Just don't expect a corporate, 4 or 5 star city type hotel.

Charmig oasis

The hotel is located a bit outside Palermo downtown in an area called Arenella in labyrints of small and narrow alleys full of clotheslines. At first it may seem like a boring area and a bit rough. There are no tourists, the people you meet are those who live there, but this is also what makes it so charming. There is a big grocery store not far from the hotel, and a number of nice restaurants (eg. Trizzano - need to book) and ice cream bars. Ask the staff and they will be able to give you good advise. Although in the outskirts of Palermo, it only takes about 25 minutes by local bus to the city center. The hotel is nice and clean, a simple Italian breakfast is included and they have a nice pool (3 m deepest) with a great view over the sea. Next to the hotel there is a small boatyard but this didn’t bother us. The staff are very friendly and take excellent care of their guests. In the evenings bridge/card games are arranged for the elderly local residents which made it homey.

Hotel und Umgebung: Das Hotel ist ein einzeln stehendes Herrenhaus im Stil vergangener Jahre. Es wirkt stilvoll für Menschen, die Gegenstände und Orte mit Geschichte mögen. Der Innenhof überzeugt durch eine wunderbare Pflanzenvielfalt, mit Trompetenpflanzen, Granatapfelbüschen, Bananenstauden und Limonen-, sowie Olivenbäumen. Von der Poolarea hat man Ausblick auf einen Strand und Berge Siziliens, was besonders in den Morgen- und Abendstunden zu schönen Bildern führt. Die Gegend ist nachbarschaftlich rural, weniger touristisch mit nahegelegenem Supermarkt und mehr oder weniger zuverlässigen Buslinien. Guter Ausgangspunkt, um Ausflüge in die Innenstadt Palermos oder an den Mondello Beach zu starten. Personal: Sehr freundliche Menschen, die ihr bestes geben, um den Aufenthalt schön zu gestalten. Zuvorkommend und zugewandt. Zimmer: Unser Zimmer war großzügig mit zwei Balkonen und Blick aufs Meer ausgestattet. Die Betten und Kissen ermöglichten einen guten Schlaf. Klimaanlage und Badezimmer wirken neu und letzteres wurde modern saniert. Die Ästhetik des Raums wird insbesondere durch die alten Fliesen gestaltet. Das Zimmer war sauber und wurde nach Wunsch gereinigt. Frühstück Ein kleines Manko für uns war die Auswahl beim Frühstück. Sicherlich gefällt es Menschen, die gerne süß essen. Wir lieben jedoch Käse, Eier und Gemüse. Vielleicht mehr Varianz in der Auswahl der Aufbackprodukte nutzen. Wir verstehen auch, dass es so leichter ist, jedoch leidet darunter die Qualität.

Très belle maison extrêmement bien entretenue. Les extérieurs et la piscine sont très beaux, la chambre très bien rénovée, seul bémol le matelas pas top. Très difficile de se garer côté via Della barca car les rues sont très très étroites, par contre il y a un parking très facile d accès de l’autre côté de la bâtisse. L’environnement n’est pas extraordinaire, le quartier est populaire et plutôt sale. La belle bâtisse dénote dans le paysage :) Un peu loin du centre-ville, il faut compter 35/40€ aller retour en Uber. Le petit déjeuner était très correct.

Grei liten bed and breakfast. Nærme sjøen og byen Palermo. Rommet var ok, fin størrelse og fint bad. Hard seng, og var en del maur på badet. Hyggelig gjeng som jobbet der.
