Everything was really great. We definitely enjoyed our stay. Everything is within walking distance. There are a lot of good food options. Really quiet area. The beach is about. 3 minute walk. Definitely enjoyed our stay here.

Great location for this resort but unfortunately it is in need of a renovation. Rooms look like they are from the 70"s rust around the bath tub. My room had no sun and felt very cold and unwelcoming.

We came down for business meetings nearby. Never stayed here before. Very clean, plenty of restaurants walking distance. And the beach is 100 yards away. One caveat; the Wi-Fi in the room did not work at all. Might be because our room was on the end and far from the units. That was only the drawback of Stan otherwise excellent all around.

I stay here 2 weeks every 2 months and love it. Only issue is the bldg is older and starting to show its age...woodwork on exterior needs repainting and repair. Our 1 bedroom unit had been remodeled but the carpet is worn. But small issues cause overall the grounds, jacuzzi, killer ocean view, prime location and warm staff trumps everything.

This place needs a major renovation, and a deep cleaning in the meantime. As an example, the doors to the bathroom were dirty, the walls had dirt spots, the baseboards and corners of the floors looked like they hand't been cleaned in over a year. The toilet seat was broken, etc. I have no idea why this place gets good reviews, and no idea how they get away with charging so much. Avoid!

We have been staying here for close to 25 years. Great location and excellent staff. It would help the overall look for someone to go to each condo and do a clean up starting with painting the front door. There are nicks that need touch up inside such as the wood around bathroom sink.

This is our second time staying at Carlsbad Inn at one of the King Suites and we love this property because it is very family-friendly with a fully stocked kitchenette and clean, accessible pools/firepits/BBQs. You are in the middle of Carlsbad Village and can walk to a large number of restaurants, stores, and bars, as well as having walkable access to the beach. Parking is by permit only so it is very easy. I took off one star because both times that we stayed here we’ve had trouble with noise. The property does have a strict 9pm quiet policy, but you will hear people talking in the hallway or heavy-footed neighbors if you’re unlucky. We had a room of young guests (teenagers) without their parents (we heard them say to someone that their parents stayed in a different room) above us during the second half of our stay and they jumped/stomped around so much that our ceiling fan shook like there was an earthquake. Before they checked in, it was great though! And to be fair, we do sleep earlier than most (9:30) because we have a small kiddo. The minus one star was also because there was a dark short hair on the toilet seat when we first got to the room. The microwave also had some food residue on the glass plate, so their cleaning could use some attention, but nothing that will prevent us from book here again at our next trip.
