We had a quick one night stay and were pleasantly surprised by the size and condition of the room. This is not a deluxe hotel, but it was clean and comfortable. The weather wasn't great, so were unable to use the balcony or the pool, but it was nice that it was available. For some reason we thought they had a laundry facility and they did not (or they weren't working), however the manager (who was wonderful) offered to wash and dry our clothes for $5 (which we gladly accepted). There really wasn't much in the area, other than a nice grocery store. I believe 2 restaurants, but both were closed at the time we were there.

Unfortunately, the two days we stayed there were very windy and rainy. However, the condition of the facility was absolutely fine, and the atmosphere would have been a little different if it had been peak season when Cairns beach itself was bustling. We were not bothered by noise from other rooms during our stay, so we recommend this facility if you want to enjoy Cairns quietly.

We stayed here for four night in a one bedroom apartment. It is large and very comfortable with everything you need including washing machine and dryer. The parking on site can be a bit tight with a 4WD. Easy walk to the beach.
