To ensure the long-term comfort of our guests, the Waikiki Grand Hotel will be undergoing vital plumbing improvements from mid-July through late December 2026, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM. With no work on Weekends, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving, or Christmas Day. Daytime noise and activity should be expected.
● Please note that our rates have already been significantly discounted for this period, and no additional discounts before, during or after will be given. If you’re planning to spend your daytime relaxing inside the hotel, we recommend checking dates outside this window to ensure you have the best experience possible.

The location is ideal cause you’re a 2 minute walk away from the beach w/ a perfect view of Diamond Head. The space was clean and just as described. Couple of things to consider, you’re 2 floors above a bar and the park across the street can get loud at night, so keep that in consideration if you’re a light sleeper. No issues for me, but my partner woke up a couple of times. Parking is expensive but provided peace of mind; you got the zoo and street parking so you do you. All in all, it was a chill spot.

Location is the only perk. The bed was soft but very cheap frame that squeeked every move. The AC unit was rusted and had the filter replacement light on. Bar is two floors below and very loud all night and overal just feels like the bear minimum is done to rent out. Overall it was a good stay but with a little effort this could of been a 5 star visit.

Simple, Quaint Apartment in Great Location

This is a nice, quaint apartment in a great location. The patio is the best part - it overlooks the park next to the zoo and has a lovely view of the ocean. It was perfect for enjoying coffee and breakfast. Its small and not necessarily luxurious, but its efficient and it was for a great price as well. There were towels and beach gear (including chairs and boogie boards) on the patio for us to borrow as well.

Great Hidden Gem!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Waikiki Grand! It’s a smaller space but we didn’t find that a deterrent at all. Clean, great location, great communication with the host. There is some noise present as other reviewers have mentioned but we didn’t feel it impacted us at all, even on the weekends. It’s a location pretty much in the hustle and bustle of Waikiki so of course there’s noise associated with that. We would stay again for sure.

Amazing views-perfect location!

I was so pleased with this rental. The views were beyond beautiful. Exactly as pictured in listing and even more gorgeous in person. Quick access to beach and there were a lot of shops and food options to choose from. The owner was very responsive and helpful as well. In another post, another renter commented on noise. I was there through Saturday night and didn’t hear any noise in the unit. Yes there is a bar nearby, but with the ac/fan running, I didn’t hear anything. I’m actually a really light sleeper but I slept like a rock. I would definitely stay here again!

An amazing location, view to Diamond Head and the ocean, clean and bright room

The room itself if wonderful. Just as pictured, an amazing location with a view both to the park around the zoo, the beach and in the distance Diamond Head. The room is bright and clean with a little kitchenette and bathroom with everything needed. I had some trouble getting directions to the apartment in advance, and unfortunately didn't know until I arrived that parking is not included and is costly at the hotel where the apartment is located. Also the sliding glass door to the little porch of our room didn't lock. Otherwise our stay was fine and the owner and his friends who help coordinate our stay were helpful and kind.

Great location, loud music a few nights

Pros: Location is great! Across from the zoo, 1 block from Queen's Beach where I played a little sand volleyball. Several restaurants, stores, and bus stops in walking distance. Balcony where you can see the beach and palm trees. Several items to use: Beach chairs & mats, books, fridge, microwave, stovetop (no oven, which was fine). Cons: Music two floors down during 4 of the nights which can be heard: Saturday, Sunday and 2 other nights. Can hear some of the vehicles going by as well. I brought Mack's brand ear plugs with max noise reduction rating which helped. Bed comfort level is 3 out of 5. I didn't have back pain though my spouse had back pain. Overall a pretty good experience. If the room was two floors higher (further from the music) with a better bed, I would consider lodging there again.

Close to everything

Loved and hated the location. The view from the lanai is beautiful…Waikiki beach, Diamondhead, zoo and park greenery. The queen-sized bed was comfy and one bed lamp has convenient USB charging ports. The Hula Club is located two floors below this unit. Our time there included a Friday night which was extremely noisy until 2am due to the incessant bass from the DJ at Hula. I see others mention that Saturday is also very noisy until 2am. Other nights were tolerable for us. Yes the A/C unit is loud but it actually provides the masking noise to help ignore the noises from the club. If you’re partying until 2am, this is the place for you. If not, rent elsewhere. I suggest that the owner invests in a new lanai sliding door with proper seals to keep noises out. Overall, if you’re staying on a week night, this is a good deal.

Noisy unit!

I complained about the noise from a few floor down bar to property manager but he could not help at all. It was noisy till 2am for all nights of our stay. Never use this service again

I’m sorry to hear that you did not share the 5-star experience that our guests who have stayed before and after you have, although I understand that no two experiences are alike and expectations vary. Perfect location

We came to Honolulu for a concert at the Waikiki Shell and a couple of days to relax on the island. This condo was easy walking distance to the concert venue, the beach, and many restaurants, shops and bus stops. It is a very small condo and quite outdated looking but it is functional and had what we needed. Guests should be made aware that this condo is only 2 floors above a VERY loud nightclub making sleep difficult. The other issue we had was that the bed/mattress was extremely uncomfortable and was not what was shown in the listing photos. However, the communication with the hosts was great and they did go out of their way to replace the bed frame on our second day - which was very appreciated and did help. I do hope they also get a new mattress. Overall, a good place that could be great with a few adjustments. Thanks!

Aloha ... I had a wonderful stay! I was happy to have beautiful views of both Waikiki beach and Diamond Head, right across from the Honolulu Zoo. Coffee in the morning on the veranda was delightful! [A bit noisy at night since there's a bar 2 floors down, but that was manageable for me .. after all, you are in the city!] Well equipped with coffee pot, hot pot, toaster, dishes & glasses, etc. The host was very responsive to any question I had, very straight forward and easy! The place was clean and comfortable ... even had beach chairs and a boogie board to use 😉 Quick walk to the beach and into downtown Honolulu. I'd highly recommend this space ...
