Luna Plata is a luxury, gulf-front home located directly on the beaches of Destin, Florida. This home is brand new to the rental market. It's perfect for your summer vacation or family getaway location! The home offers seven bedrooms, a bunk nook, and seven and a half bathrooms. The sleeping total for the property is 22 with 5 king suites, 2 guest suites with 2 queen beds in each, and 2 bunk nooks ideal for kids.

In addition to having the beach right in your backyard, there is also a private pool and covered patio space. Four outdoor decks ensure that you'll enjoy the sweeping Gulf views from every floor. Inside the home are new, designer furnishings and open floor plan layouts that make the homes spacious and inviting for even the largest vacationing groups. Other special features of the home include an in-home elevator, flat screen TVs in all the bedrooms, and private bathrooms for each room. The home is also pet-friendly for up to two small dogs, with payment of the pet fee.
Luna Plata is a partial unit in the Luna Sol duplex, which can be rented together with Sol Dorado to sleep a total of 44 guests!

This home is 0.6 mile from The Crab Trap Destin, 1.9 miles from the Destin Commons shopping and entertainment hub and movie theater, 1 mile from Regatta Bay Golf Club, and is nearby to many other Destin attractions! To help you enjoy the activities, Five Star provides two sets of beach chairs (March-October) and 4 bicycles.

Fun with family

It’s not easy for us to get together with our five children that are scattered. But we were able to get 4 and their spouses and children. It was a special but perfect week. We loved SO much the ability to vacation from Monday -Monday! We had a blast! Loved this place!

Beautiful location. Very convenient location. Dishwasher was broken and never fixedWashing machines were filthy and full of mildew. Were told by technician could pose a health hazardNo hot water anywhere but main floor.Doors to porch were broken and seals hangingNo bathroom hooks or towel racksFront door could not be locked upon leaving. Grill was broken and had to be replaced Under couch and coffee table was filthy Will definitely not recommend.

Decent Stay, Beware of Out of Order Elevator Though

It was perfect for a beachfront location at the price. We are a little upset that one of the main reasons for booking with the elevator since we had our grandparents come along, but the elevator didn't work so it was hard for them to take the stairs. The stove burners weren't all working and there was some hair on the walls in the shower. However, the property manager was responsive and responded fairly quickly and sent someone to come fix the stove. The elevator unfortunately wasn't fixed at all. Overall, it was decent and we still managed to have a good time dispute a few setbacks.

A Beautiful Home in a Great location

The new Luna Plata was very nice and we enjoyed our stay very much. The location was perfect!!! There are a few things that I would like to mention, for I believe they should be corrected. First of all, light bulbs were out over kitchen table fixture, and also in the lamp on TV console in living area. The back patio had no lights at all, and made enjoying the outside area at night difficult. We went and purchased a lamp and candles so we could enjoy it more. The end table by the couch was dirty and cracked. The chairs around the small table in the kitchen were stained and dirty. Most importantly, the stairs to the beach were a hazard at night. There isn't any lighting to make going down the stairs safer. The final stair had a huge drop off where the sand had eroded. Overall, the home was beautiful, and we so enjoyed our week there. I just wanted to make you aware of some areas that need to be addressed. Thank you

Welcome to next renters Everything should be cleaned and fixed now unfortunately spent my vacation!

1.4th floor air not working promised portable units never came air fixed on 2nd day.2.request maid service to return furniture dirty-floors rewashed. I wash all pantry shelves before I could put food sticky- dirty.3.rented clearly stated free round of golf daily. told that wasn't true due to marketing error. no golf4. dish washer missing parts wasn't working instead of swapping out the unit they offered paper plates. lot of time spent washing dishes.5. NO ability to adjust the water in the showers. told to let the water run and have a cup of coffee or maybe faucets plumed backwards. told we weren't turning the right lever couldn't take showers unless it was scalding or freezing finally someone came found insta hot water tanks were broke. Finally fixed on Thursday. That took all day. I spent most of my time calling and texting. 6. Dishes had food all over them because no one noticed there was no water sprayer in the bottom of the dishwasher . There was a whisk full of pancake batter I had to soak for two days!! until I finally could use. told a new dishwasher would come Monday Im already gone!7. See photo below of Clorox wipe used to wipe kit counters. disgusting and a glob of dirt I had to scrape off floor so baby didn't get in it. To the people after me your welcome I cleaned and fixed everything to bad it was on my family vacation 6 years in making! Plus everyone on phone very apologetic said they get direction from owners 20k not 5star
Broken steps whole property looks worn dirty furniture included definitely not just listed as advertised. Definitely not 5star or worth $$$ Plus was 5 Star mgmt employees were very kind at times when I was not because of the frustration.
Dirty dishes had to soak 2 days just went and bought a new one left it for future guests.
Broken dishwasher obviously from all the dirty dishes left in cabinets and drawers had to wash before every use
boxes from the insta heaters filled my deck and wasn't able to use until next day when cleaned up. NOT A REFLECTION OF THE WORKER!! HE WAS GREAT!!

This experience was tainted because of the elevator not working. Walking up and down 3 flights of stairs every time you wanted a cup of coffee or to go anywhere was truly annoying.

Property Great - Five Stars Not So Much

Loved the property but communcation with Five Stars was not good. Had to repeat questions to them prior to arrival. Beach access had a lock that Five Stars did not know code for so we had to take apart bolt. Propane tank was not filled as promised. Passes that were there when we booked had been replaced with no notification. Info on house that they do not tell you: 1. There is a closet on the parking level with all kinds of beach toys so if coming - no need to bring. 2. There are no towel racks in any of the bathrooms. 3. There are a couple of broken chairs outside. 4. Washer/dryer is on 3rd and 4th floors. 5. Bunk beds are in hallway. We took one off and put in 4th floor walk in off back king suite and that child had a room to themselves but that is the only one that works in. Otherwise child is in the walking pathway for the floor. 6. There are no containers to put leftovers in so bring something or just deal with it. 7. They do provide bath soaps at every sink, shampoo/conditioner/lotion in every bathroom. 2 Toilet papers in every bathroom. Two paper towels in kitchen. Some laundry pods, some dishwaser packs, some dishwashing soap. NO kleenix. 8. There is an extra ice machine in the kitchen area - very nice. 9. You can walk to a couple of the restaurants. 10. Beach is very clean and so is the water. Very very little seaweed.

Best Family Vacation House Ever!!

When arrived at the home and there was plenty of parking for our whole family. Which was quite the relief since parking in this area tends to get a bit outrageous. We went to go check out the view as soon as we got out of the car and it was STUNNING, the pictures online were nice, but seeing it in person is a different story. We had great customer service from start to finish and did not come across any issues. A nice little welcome bag was waiting for us with some homemade banana bread and some souvenir shirts. Five Star properties certainly lived up to their name and we will be coming back every year.
