Cottage was as listed clean tidy and right in the centre of the village. The location made it Easy to walk around to shops restraunts and points of interest. We would happily stay in this accommodation and recommend to family and friends.

Perfect location for a short weekend getaway to the beach! I recommend parking at one of the marina long stay lots early and carrying any luggage by hand if you drive. We remembered to bring bath and beach towels but forgot to bring hand towels, whoops!All info is clear and communicated ahead of time for quick and easy check in. Wifi was a life saver.Mini fridge is perfect for food and leftovers. We did not end up cooking, mostly just stored some chocolate and drinks! We added a beach rock to the collection in the coffee table box and enjoyed reading the history of the cottage.Because it is a historical cottage, there were some eight legged friends keeping the creepier crawlies away. I did walk into a couple of stray webs but beyond that, they stay in their little nooks.

We’re pleased the information provided made your check-in quick and easy, and that the Wi-Fi and mini fridge came in handy. We also love that you added a beach rock to our collection and enjoyed discovering a little of the cottage’s history. As a historic cottage, the occasional spider and web is unfortunately part of the character, especially at this time of year so we’re glad they didn’t cause too much trouble! Whitby Getaway

Very nice, snug cottage in a great location. Close to Whitby Abbey and shopping, restaurants. Had all necessary amenities, coin operated laundry (machines were efficient and worked well). All in all a terrific base for exploring the coast and surrounding area. Definitely would recommend!

Great Cottage in Whitby

We had a great time in Whitby at this cottage. It had real warmth and history, close to everything! The Beach steps away was a hit for my kids and the Friendship Rowing Club pub was nice for me and wife. Mike and Louise were awesome!

Beautiful little cottage,

Cottage is right in the middle of Whitby, perfect location, walking distance to everywhere. Spotlessly clean and everything you need supplied. Excellent communication from owner, very fast in responding. Would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful Cottage

I stayed here with my partner and my mother for three nights. We could not have asked for a better location. The cottage had a lot of charm and was in walking distance to everything, being in the heart of town. Great sized bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Communication with the host was great as well. I would definitely recommend this charming cottage.

Good location, expected better standards for the price. Not very clean, needs work doing very shabby exterior. Communication was good leading up to the visit. Thermostat was locked so could not turn heating on and cottage was cold. Very steep winding stairs winding to second floor, Yard was unkept and our hands got very dirty when holding on to the rail to get up the steep steps to the front door. Would not stay at this cottage again.

the location was right in the centre of the cobbled streets of the old town. The property was comfortable if a little tired. Our main problem was the middle bedroom, which we chose to sleep in the first night to save walking up another flight of stairs, was a little loud at night. People coming from the rowing club next door having loud conversations in the alley in frount. We had to move into the top bedroom with a double glazed window on the other side of the house, after that especially as there was an 80s night in the club.

Hi Wendy, thank you for leaving us a review. Sorry about loud people in the street. It is out of our control but we will refit the secondary double glazing again now that winters coming. This should alleviate any future noise. We remove it for summer as the rooms can get too hot. Happy that you enjoyed the location, which as you say, is in the very centre of the old part of town, so plenty of restaurants, bars and shops on your doorstep. Thanks again. Mike and Louise.

Lovely cottage, tucked away yet still close to all amenities.

Clean and tidy, a little small but all these fishermen's cottages are, our party was four adults and a small dog and we were fine, would defiantly book again.

Comfy and Cosy

Great property to stay in and quite clean, although the double bed in the first floor bedroom has seen better days it was still comfy and good for a good night's sleep. The property is made up of 3 floors so it is more suitable for able bodied person's, through fault of my own I forgot to mention that 3 of my party were actually disabled so found it difficult to climb the stairs. But all in all we all enjoyed our stay. Thank you Mike and team !

Lovely retreat

Surprising little cottage. Open the doors and it’s clean and refreshing. Nice and warm everything catered for. Can’t wait to stay again. Mike was a true gent with plenty of advice.

Ci siamo trovati benissimo. La casa comoda sia negli spazi che nella posizione, molto accogliente e pulita. L'unica cosa dolente è stata non poter accedere i caloriferi perché erano bloccati e per le nostre abitudini, almeno la sera, ne avremmo sicuramente fatto uso. Dovendo tornare a Whitby sceglieremmo comunque la stessa casa. Grazie per l'esperienza. Monia e famiglia

Excellent location and provided all the amenities.

Great little cottage in a great location. Very close to pubs with good food. Access to the harbour is just metres away. Enjoyed our stay thoroughly.
