Villa Erontas is a traditional two-storey luxury house in an excellent location in the heart of the small preserved and peaceful village of Mahairi, with stunning views of the sea below, the peaks of the white mountains behind and the castles and solitary chapels around.
It is fully furnished and constructed exclusively of stone and wood to match its surroundings.

Villa Erontas is a two-story house. The ground floor has a fully equipped kitchen, a bathroom with a shower, a living room with a handmade table and 6 chairs, a spacious living room with sofas, an LCD satellite TV, a DVD player, a stereo and an inner courtyard with a barbecue.
On the first floor there are 2 bedrooms, one with 2 single beds and a wardrobe and the other with a double bed, a wardrobe and a large terrace with an umbrella and sunbeds with an amazing view of the sea and the mountain. There is also a luxurious bathroom with a bathtub.

Villa Erontas is an ideal place for relaxation and a starting point for hiking and getting to know the rich fauna and flora of the island and the countless historical and prehistoric monuments.
It is located in the quiet and peaceful village of Mahairi, a typical Greek village of outstanding natural beauty and can offer you an unforgettable holiday experience with its amenities, beauty and amazing views. In addition, you can try Cretan and Mediterranean cuisine in many traditional taverns in the area and of course you can enjoy the beautiful seaside resorts of Kalyves and Almerida, a short drive from the villa.

Beautiful villa

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at Erontos, Katerina and mother where marvelous, the village view was awesome close to restaurants and great spot to rest after exploring Crete. If you want authentic greek village experience this is it we loved it. Todd

Lovely villa!

Me and my husband had a lovely relaxing holiday at Villa Erontas. We loved the location and the views. Macheri village is peaceful, little bit remote but still near bigger village so we had everything we needed. Property owner Katerina was so lovely person. Se helped us many ways and she brought us oranges and home made muffins. We had very relaxing holiday and we sure hope to come back.

Lovely villa with beautiful views

This was our first stop on our trip and it could not have been more perfect. Our host, Katerina, was very communicative and arranged to meet us on our way to the villa. She and her mother could not have been more accommodating and welcoming. The villa itself was fantastic. The beds and other furniture were comfortable, well appointed, and easy to manage. This is an excellent property. While the small village itself does not contain any services, there are a couple of towns within minutes containing tavernas and markets.

Une magnifique Villa !

Nous avons passés un agréable séjour dans la Villa Erontas. Une Villa très confortable et fonctionnelle au calme avec une vue du toit terrasse imprenable. Le jacuzzi était très appréciable après les promenades. Katerina est très accueillante, elle nous a récupérée à un point de rendez-vous défini entre nous à 23h30 afin de nous guider jusqu'à la Villa, c'est la première fois que cela nous arrive. Encore un grand merci à Katerina pour ses conseils. Nous pouvons que recommander les Villas de Katerina.

Ein sehr gut geschnittenes ,sauberes Häuschen in den Bergen nahe des Meeres mit ( entferntem ) Meerblick ! Katerina war eine sehr gute und aufmerksame Gastgeberin ! Auto ist ein Muss , der Ort Maheri ein guter Ausgangspunkt für diverse Ausflüge.

Perfect gateway in Crete village

This was a perfect 2 weeks in Crete - in a very cute small village with both seaview and mountain view. It was perfectly quiet with only noises of insects humming, birds singing and neibourhood kocks singing in the morning. We enjoyed beautiful sunrises each morning from our terrace. The villa was more beautiful than on the pictures and the owners Olga and her daughter Katerina were both very kind and nice persons. Katerina gave us alk the info we needed about things we wanted to see and also info about a perfect greek taverna on the next village, called Drosostalia. Worth visiting every day for dinner :) We rented a car (info got also from Katerina) and drove all through the western part of Crete, visited all the best beaches, gorges and villages. We do recommend this or the other villa in the same village. To us it was a perfect holiday with sun, warmth, beautiful nature and nice people. So thank you sooo much, Katerina and Olga! Kaia-Liisa and Andres from Estonia

A perfect base for a week of walking and exploring.

A secluded getaway for a wonderful spring break. Katerina was a generous, welcoming host, on hand when we arrived late at night and then happy to offer advice and help throughout the week.

Ottima sistemazione

Abbiamo passato due settimane rilassanti in un villaggio di altri tempi. La casa è praticamente nuova , pulita e dotata di ogni comfort moderno. La spiaggia piu vicina è a 5 km quindi ... serve una macchina anche per le spese alimentari al piu vicino villaggio ma ne vale la pena. La proprietaria , Katerina è persona gentile e disponibile . Sicuramente un esperienza da rifare.

geräumige, gut ausgestattete Villa in ruhigem Dorf

Wir hatten eine schöne und entspannte Zeit dort. Das Haus ist voll saniert, geräumig und bietet alles, was man braucht. Die Lage ist sehr ruhig (abgesehen von bellenden Hunden), und bietet einen guten Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen in Westkreta. Die Besitzerin ist sehr freundlich und sorgt für einen angenehmen Aufenthalt.

Lovely stay in the hill of Crete

We stayed in Villa Erontas, the first of the two Villas in the little Maheri village. The Villa is spacious, comfortable and very well kept. We enjoyed a lot its terrace to drink an aperitif at sunset and relax after a day of activities. Katerina is a wonderful host and will help with all you need. The location feels a bit isolated, but it allowed us to explore quite a bit of the island. A definite recommendation. Argia

Beautiful villa in peaceful village setting.

The villa itself is beautiful, with all mod cons, and Katarina is a great host. On the first couple of days of our 12 day stay, we wondered if we would have rathered been in a town on the coast, but we soon came to appreciate the joy of returning to the villa and the village, which is less than a 10 minute drive from the coast (but you will need a car!).

la location n'est pas la même que sur photos!

très bien, belle propriété et bel endroit. Mais attention à votre location, vérifier bien que l'appartement soit le bon. En effet, j'ai cru réserver l'appartement avec jaccusi mais j'ai réservé un autre lieu. La page n'est pas claire faites attention. La location a un seul et même numéro pour deux lieu différents même si les deux sont de beaux endroits on aimerait louer l'objet désiré! Et Homelidays participe à la confusion sur leur site. Sinon bel endroit avec une belle plage à Kyvales et de bons restaurants à proximités.

Sehr gute Unterkunft mit sehr netter Vermieterin

Wir haben die FeQo für eine Woche im Mai gebucht (5 Personen). Die Wohnung ist sehr gut ausgestattet und wunderschön eingerichtet. Die Vermieterin ist sehr freundlich und hatte sogar für den bevorstehenden Sonntag schon mit Lebensmitteln vorgesorgt. Die Lage ist sehr idyllisch. Genau das Richtige, wenn man Ruhe sucht. Ein Auto ist aber abolut notwendig. Mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln nicht zu erreichen.

Maison agréable dans les hauteurs de La Canee

Maison moderne construite traditionnellement. Bel espace de séjour offrant un vrai confort de vie. Deux espaces extérieurs agréables : un petite terrasse devant la maison et une grande terrasse avec transat à l'étage. Deux salles de bain assez confortables. Bonne qualité du Wifi. Le cadre général est vraiment parfait pour les amoureux de calme, nature et village typique. Plusieurs villages avec restaurants très bons dans les environs. La mer à moins de 15 min. Et enfin un accueil vraiment très sympa de notre hôte. Nous recommandons vivement cette adresse.

belle maison, bonne accueil , l'endroit est tres beau.

Just Perfect

We wanted somewhere peaceful and out of the way. Villa Erontas was a beautiful building in a hillside village with amazing views of the mountains in one direction and the sea in the other. We were given a really warm welcome. Katerina was so helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. It was a special place to explore the island from and we soon felt like it was home. It had all comforts - wi-fi, air con, washing machine, TV/DVD - and we felt relaxed and privileged to stay there.

A beautiful holiday home!

My family and I have spent many years travelling to Greece for holidays, and have stayed in Crete several times. However, we have never stayed in such a lovingly restored villa as this. The villa is in a pretty, non-touristy village and has beautiful views out towards the sea, especially from the sun-deck which is a great place to relax and sunbathe. The location gives easy access to Chania town, and many other areas of interest. Inside, it has a well-equipped kitchen, 2 lovely bathrooms and 2 well-sized and comfortable bedrooms, as well as a spacious lounge and dining area. It was full of personal touches which, combined with the excellent care we received from Katerina, made our stay. We look forward to visiting again!

It is the village where my grandparents lived and my mother was born. A very peaceful and traditional village with so many good memories of my childhood. My mother Olga decided to build those villas in Maheri as it is her birth place and she loves that place; she also wanted to maintain her connection with that village and to contribute in its developement.

Very good constructions, well-furnished and beautifully decorated. In a peaceful location with amazing views and surrounded by cretan nature.
