Tonto Creek Mountain Cabin - Great Views with Hot Tub and WiFi

Updated 2 Bedroom, 1 Bath cabin with the Tonto National forest between the back deck and the base of the Mogollon Rim. Just 17 miles east of Payson at 5800' come to cool off and enjoy the beautiful scenery and wildlife. Large covered deck with hot tub to enhance the outdoor experience. King beds in both bedrooms. Previously a full time residence, the cabin comes fully furnished with all of the comforts of home.

- Fireplace (Duraflame or Pine Mountain fireplace logs only)
- TV (Hulu with Live Channels) & Blu-ray/DVD (Guest media box hookup available)
- WiFi with high-speed internet
- Full Kitchen (RO Water, Ice Maker, Dishwasher, Utensils, Plates, Pots/Pans, Coffee Maker, Keurig, Toaster, etc.)
- Full Laundry (Washer and Dryer)
- Weber Gas BBQ grill

Tonto Creek is just a few minutes walking distance and there are several nearby lakes. Woods Canyon, Willow Springs, Knoll, Bear Canyon, Chevelon and Black Canyon Lakes. There are many wonderful activities right at your door. Walk to a waterfall on Tonto Creek, many scenic hikes, wild flowers, fossils and enjoying drives along the Rim Rd., with its panoramic views are a few ways to soak up the relaxing area.

Wild game such as turkey, elk, deer, coyote and bear are often spotted in the forest. Only 2 miles to Zane Grey's former cabin site and the state fish hatchery.

What an amazing property, my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Everything was 5 Stars. I can't say enough about this cabin. We really enjoyed feeding the birds in the morning. There was a feeding frenzy, so fun to watch.

Loved it so much I brought my husband for a second stay here! The squirrel and birds are such a treat! Backed up to the woods it’s so peaceful in the hot tub under the stars. The owners are so kind and accommodating as well. Truly a treasure.

We loved this spot (don’t use GPS to get there, we are really appreciative of the directions Mark gave us specifically). We chose this for the seclusion, the cabin, the jacuzzi, the amenities. We had a fabulous time, everything you would need in there. It’s very well cleaned and taken care of.

Wow, what can I say? Beautiful area, well appointed cabin AND greeted by the coolest variety of wildlife upon entrance. I have stayed at a vast variety of cabins in and around Arizona, and this is easily one of my favorites. Tv already set up with firestick, surround sound, quality beds, new hot tub and an amazing view… we will be back!

Gem off Tonto Creek

Immaculate cabin with quite possibly the best stocked kitchen ever. Not just a hodgepodge of pots, pans and flatware. Quality through and through. No need to hop in the car to drive to a trailhead, there is a crazy great hike accessible just up the road. Take it all the way up to a fish hatchery if you like. The whole time meandering in and out of contact with tranquil Tonto Creek falls and eddies. This place is dope.

4th of July

We had an amazing time at this beautiful VRBO. The place was spotless and so thoughtfully stocked that we felt like we had overpacked — they truly thought of everything! The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the kitchen had more than everything we could possibly need.The hosts were friendly, welcoming, and communicated promptly whenever we had a question. Even though it was the Fourth of July weekend, the property felt peaceful and tranquil, away from all the busyness. We couldn’t have asked for a better getaway — highly recommend!

Amazing mountain getaway!

What a great way to celebrate Father’s Day! This cabin nestled in the woods was the best we’ve stayed at. It was so nice to have a fully stocked home away from home and with friendly wildlife that greet us daily. Mark and Tracy are amazing hosts and immediately available for anything and everything you need. We highly recommend staying at this relaxing cabin in the woods.

Great location, definitely coming back

Everything was great. Host was great. Location is isolated but not so isolated to be scary for a family. I am very glad I found this gem. Lots of cute wildlife including jays, squirrels, javelinas, ravens, woodpeckers. Lovely creeks and hikes a short drive or long walk away.

Perfect little getaway!

Absolutely beautiful inside & out! Mark & Tracy are wonderful hosts! Everything you can think of was available. Even, birds, deer, squirrels right off the back porch... we had so much fun hand feeding them with the seeds and peanuts for us to use. Quiet, friendly, neighborhood. Do not forget to ask the hosts about their available homemade breakfast delivered! Delish!We will be back! Thanks again!

This is the 4th stay at this cabin and it never disappoints. From the great communication with the owner, to the amenities and immaculate car of the cabin, you cannot beat this cabin and all that goes with it.

Peaceful escape.

This was our second visit and will certainly not be our last. This truly is a magical place where you slip away and relax with both forest land and wonderful birds and squirrels who awaken you with sounds each morning. Communication was amazing and the home is spotless and well stocked with things you need during your stay.

Perfect Cozy Getaway in Nature

Our stay at this cabin was absolutely wonderful! The scenery was breathtaking, with beautiful views all around and plenty of opportunities to enjoy nature. The area was peaceful and relaxing, making it the perfect place to unwind.We loved spotting wildlife, especially the variety of birds and playful squirrels—it was amazing to watch them throughout our stay. The cabin itself was incredibly cozy, well-stocked, and had everything we could possibly need. The fireplace made the evenings extra warm and inviting, and the hot tub was the perfect way to relax while taking in the serene surroundings.If you're looking for a peaceful retreat surrounded by nature, this is the perfect spot. We can't wait to return!
