Amazing Lakefront Family Cottage

Welcome to our lakefront retreat a roomy 2400 4 bedroom/2 bath home overlooking beautiful, all- sports, Lake Missaukee in Lake City, MI. Our family couldn't be more excited to share this magnificent location with you. This is just the place for a large family, group, or couples wanting to get away together. Our home will sleep 9 comfortably. We also have two Aero Air mattresses that could be used.

Our open kitchen, dining & living area on the main floor features a gas log fireplace, the patio doors open to a large deck where you take in a Lake Missaukee sunset or watch the activity on the beach. AC equipped with Wi-Fi and a 55" smart TV. Tasteful accents & decorations will compliment the furnishings, and meticulous housekeeping will make you feel right at home.

Our kitchen features oak cabinets-fully equipped with quality pots, pans, utensils & dishes. It includes a full size refrigerator, electric stove, microwave, dishwasher, coffeemaker, and toaster. The counter-top bar will seat 4 and the dining table will seat 8-10.

Bedroom#1 has a queen size bed and a beautiful lake view from the private second floor deck, also equipped with a HD flat screen TV. Bedroom #2 has a queen size bed. Bedroom #3 has 1 twin size bed and queen bed. Bedroom #4 has 1 queen bed. All bedrooms have lake views. All bedding and bath linens provided.

Step out into the manicured lawn that leads to the beautiful sandy beach front. The lake is shallow near the shore with a hard sand bottom for swimming and water-sports. Beach fun, cornhole and a campfire pit are available for guest use. Chaise loungers, lawn chairs, patio set, and a propane BBQ grill are provided for your convenience.

If you are into fishing, you have come to the right lake! Walleye, Bass, Pike, Perch, Specs, and Bluegill are plentiful.

We offer complementary use of two kayaks, paddle board, and various water floats for your enjoyment on the lake.

Family birthday

The weekend trip to the lake was wonderful because the house had every amenity we would need to celebrate comfortably! The sunset on the beach was amazing and so were the beds we slept in!

Great Vacation home in Cadillac Area

Fantastic vacation home in Norther Michigan. Great location. House stocked with everything you need and more. Would definitely rent again if visiting area.

Authentic lake place

David was great to communicate with, easy check in process. The property as furnished is an authentic lake place, not a sterile photo curated rental listing to get attention. It was wonderful, made it feel like a weekend at a family friends place up north, easy to be comfortable during our stay.

The best family vacation

Our family 8 adults and 2 children enjoyed our week vacation. David was the most gracious host. The house fit us all comfortably and the beach front was amazing. The house was immaculate upon arrival. My favorite family vacation to date. I will be recommending this property to all my family and friends!

First family vacation!

We are a new blended family and we’re really looking forward to some bonding time for the kids. We were so impressed with the property; the large kitchen, the large dining table to accommodate all of us, the bedrooms were great sizes, the organized cabinets, the beach, the kayaks and paddle boards, and the glorious sunsets! Just wow, we had the best time!!

Great Vacation Spot!

We had an amazing week here! The house was clean and stocked with many items. The close proximity to the beach was perfect for our group with small children needing naps. The shallows of the water extended beyond the dock which was perfect for our younger children to play in! Dave was very communicative throughout the whole process making for a smooth trip. Would definitely recommend!!

Winter gateway

We enjoyed our New Year gateway a lot, the lake house was very clean and spacious. Winter time couldn’t see lots and enjoy all what’s there, but summertime i bet it would be an amazing place to stay David- fast and responsive, helpful guy. We loved the house and a stay, definitely would go next time

Wonderful getaway!

The house was beautifully appointed and included everything that we needed. It was sparkling clean! The host was very responsive and answered all of our questions. The sunsets over the beach were picture perfect. I would highly recommend this place for a weekend, a week, a month!

Wonderful Vacation

This cottage was absolutely perfect! All the pictures were very accurate and the beach was beautiful and perfect for family! The owner was extremely helpful and available for questions any time. I would definitely recommend this property to family and friends.

Family Vacation

Loved the home. Large enough for 9 of us to stay comfortably. Lake was great. Only thing better would be if it were across from Tasty Treat--or not :)

Great family place!!!

We had four generations and everyone had a great time. The kitchen was GREAT everything you need is there. Lots of dishes for a large family, we had 11. The beach was clean and great for everyone, big shallow area for the younger swimmers. Also, a decent fishing lake. It was a short mile walk to the ice cream place in downtown Lake City. The Internet service was strong and fast. Nice clean house with lots of room for a large family. Thank you for a great family vacation.

The property was beautiful and well kept.

We had a large group with 5 little ones (ranging from 18 months to 8 years). We all were able to comfortably stay in the large house. Open living space with large kitchen. The deck was wonderful for relaxing in the shade. The sandy beach allowed for lots of play area for the kids. The lake slowly dropped off. Kids had tons of room to play in the water. Had cookout on the beach in the evening. The entire extended family loved the stay and would go back again. Owners were great to work with. Well worth it!!!!

Fantastic week at this cottage in lake city

We enjoyed a fantastic week at this beautiful cottage on missaulkee lake. Spacious bedrooms where you can fall asleep and awake to the sounds of the waves . Large kitchen and eating area perfect for family meals and your fish frys. Front deck was awesome for sitting, eating and watching the lake activities. A large, clean beach was perfect for the little ones. Camp fires with s'mores every night. Fishing was very good too. This cottage had all the bells and whistles that made our stay a memorable one. Dave and Carrie are wonderful host who make it a point to see that your accommodations and stay are prefect. Would definitely stay here again.

Great place to stay!

My family and I were very happy with our stay here! The owner was really nice and great to work with. The place was clean, spacious and easily accommodated all 10 of us. If you like to cook this place is perfect because the kitchen is a good size and there’s plenty of dishes, cookware, and utensils to use. Beds were comfortable, rooms were spacious, plenty of extra blankets, towels, and linens. The outdoor area was a great spot to hangout, the deck had lots of seating, the view was beautiful, and the beach was large so the kids could play. You can tell this place is well maintained. I would definitely come back here again!
