Four Seasons of Northern Michigan Fun in this Newly Remodeled Chalet Style Home. Situated on 4+ acres nestled in the woods on the Beautiful Clam River. Just mins to Cadillac and Lake City. Surrounded by wildlife galore. 1/2 Mile to Organic Farmer's Market (In season). Minutes to several All-Sports Lakes for fishing and swimming.

**The Clam river is beautiful to wade in, to splash and cool off or to catch minnows, it’s usually about knee deep, not good for kayaking or fishing.

Three Bedrooms plus a loft. (Please be aware of the sleeping arrangements, there are three single beds in a bedroom upstairs, another single in a second bedroom up, and a king sized bed in the loft upstairs. There are two queen options on the main level, one in a bedroom and the second is a pull out sofa.)

*Quiet time is 10pm, this is not a party spot. While we welcome up to ten people, we do not encourage a party or family reunion. (It’s hard on the well and septic system to have any more people than ten.) No fireworks! Too many other homes and it’s heavily wooded.

Wonderful family friendly home

Pride of ownership was evident from the moment we pulled up to the home! Beautiful property from the play place/sandbox, to the fire pit, to the gazebo, to the river, to the deck and finally into the house where it did not stop! Our 2 younger grandchildren (3 & 4) loved the children’s table and chairs and the rocker as well as all the toys and games. Our daughter-in-law loved the baby gate for the stairs, she said the owners thought of everything for renters with children! Great location for enjoying Cadillac, Lake City and beyond!

Tranquil Haven on quiet river

My husband & I had a delightful stay at this cottage on Clam River. Very clean, and nicely decorated with plenty of amenities inside and out. We loved being so close to Cadillac & Lake City, with many restaurants and activities to choose from our stay went by too fast. Serene Riverfront Retreat was exactly as described and the photos are spot on. We look forward to staying here again. Thank you Denise for hosting us on our anniversary.

Words can not describe how clean and beautiful this home was!! Beautiful location, had everything 5 ladies could ever ask for! The owner was super friendly and very quick on their responding. Not far away from shopping till you drop Traverse City! We will definitely be booking this house again next year!

Fantastic house!

Beautiful and very clean house with all the little things you might ever need. The owner is very thoughtful about providing anything you might need or have forgotten. Great location central to many different areas and experiences. Very peaceful and beautiful. My family had the best time and definitely plan to make this one of our regular vacation destinations!

Perfect young family stay

I was blown away when we walked in the door. This home was beautiful and perfect for our young family. My young kids loved the toys that were available and playing in the Sandy bottomed stream. Everything we needed for our stay was there. The hosts truly put a lot of thought into their property. The outdoor fireplace was wonderful and my kids loved the swing set. The location was close to both Cadillac and lake city. Would definitely stay again and recommend to anyone who has a young family.

Love this place!

2nd year in a row we rented here and definitely one of our very favorite places! Clean, well equipped and very tasteful decor. Location is quiet and secluded. Owners communicate well very and are super accommodating.

Amazing, beautiful property - serene, cozy, kid-friendly

We absolutely LOVED staying here. The home itself was extremely comfortable and even had toys for our two little ones to play with! The property was beautiful — we enjoyed catching frogs, swinging by the creek, and having great conversations around the firepit. Denise was a wonderful host. Highly recommend!

A spot to crash after a wedding...

We were really just looking for a spot to crash and relax after the wedding that had stressed us all out. But after checking into this place it was much more. Upon arriving and looking over the place the pics did no justice for how nice it really was. Didn't really get the chance to use the fire pit or hang in the yard but the little time we did spend here was nice. Not sure how but it seemed very relaxing and comfortable from the moment we walked in. Very nice and if ever needed will use again. Thank you very much. Very beautiful place.

The most relaxing vacation we’ve had

We loved everything about our stay. Even with 3 young kids age 2, 4, and 6 we felt relaxed the whole time. The house was pretty secluded with the most perfect outdoor space to enjoy the nature and there was so much for our young kids to do. The inside of the house was just as nice and they had everything you would need during your stay. We look forward to coming back next year.

Recently retired from the Christmas Tree Industry, and owners of a Conifer Nursery, they now have time for their 8 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Diane and Phil's daughter and son in law manage the property. Denise and Tom will meet you and see to your needs.
