Beach haven!

We enjoyed the quiet location, gorgeous sunrises and sugary sand beaches. The host was easy to communicate with and very informative.

Very easy going and polite people! It's always a pleasure to have guests who treat the property respectfully and leave it clean. And, who obviously are enjoying themselves. It's great to watch people relax.

Great Relaxing Get Away

We had a great time at the property. The private beach was fantastic and we were happy to be able to use the fire pit at night. The place was very clean and well stocked. The property manager was very accommodating and nice to work with!

Great beach location

Great location with native vegetation, long beach for walking in both directions, nice touches in the home and on the property. Lots of art. Quiet, relaxing.

One of the benefits of having rental property is getting to meet new people, greet guests who are returning, and watch everyone have a great time on the beach. This family is committed to beach time and it made me very happy to see them out there every day. Polite and gracious, they never complained about anything even when there was opportunity -- I'm grateful they chose my vacation rental!

Beautiful week of gracious hospitality and solitude

A sophisticated, clean, quiet cottage. We appreciated all the art and books. Beautiful sandy beach. Our host was extremely helpful and fun. I heartily recommend for adults needing a relaxing time.

Exceptional place

The property, beach, and grounds are all exceptional. Helen provided a ton of information and ideas of things to do in the area. The beach was perfect, and the area between the house and beach is filled with natural beauty. Art lovers will have an additional love for this place as the house and grounds are filled with beautiful, original art.

Rejuvenating

Wonderful family enjoying the freedom of living right on the beach. We do have window screens although no 'screens' between you and the sounds of Lake Huron! This was their second year coming to our property, and what a joy it is to see everyone so happy! I love, too, when guests share some of their excellent cooking skills -- in this instance, blueberry coffee cake made with hand picked local blueberries!

Quiet, relaxing, clean, beautiful views

This rental was perfect for our needs. It was spacious for our morning yoga, quiet for meditation and reading, walks on the beach. We had easy access by way of a short drive to Huron National Forest for hiking and canoeing the Au Sable River. Our bed looked out to Lake Huron for the beautiful sun rise and a spectacular moon rise over Lake Huron.

We couldn't ask for better renters! Peaceful guests, they respected house rules, were neat and clean, and left a hand-written note of appreciation about the natural beauty of this area. We are grateful they chose Noble Huron for their vacation home!

Summer family visit with the kids

I came up to visit family with my 12 and 16 year olds. Helen met us with the keys and told us about the property—she is a gracious host. We loved walking out to the beach for a swim, listening to the waves, enjoying the artwork, and sitting on the patio in the morning with a cup of coffee. It’s a beautiful, tranquil place. We loved our stay.

Noble Huron was perfect

Calm and serene, this beautiful rental boasts a pristine beach, a large fire pit, a clean and well equipped cottage, and everything you need for a relaxing and fun-filled Lake Huron get away. The listing is accurate, and the host gracious and responsive. This is a well appointed and beautifully decorated space.

Pictures do not do it justice

We’ve been to this area many times and this has been our favorite beach. Pics just do not do this property justice. You go to sleep with the waves crashing and under the stars. Close to restaurants and tons of other things to do. WE HAD A BLAST!

It's a joy to have renters return to the property. And I am grateful when guests understand that sometimes things don't work out -- this couple was gracious in understanding that the house was was not ready when they arrived, so went ahead and did other things until it was!

Front row seat to nature at its finest!

We had an amazing week at this lovely house! The star attraction was nature, the colorful, quickly changing colors of the sky and water, and taking long walks along the beach. The house is enchanting with everything you need plus a fabulous, eclectic collection of art. We can't thank Helen, the property owner, enough for making this gem available!

This couple is so interesting to talk with! We had art in common and they also offered great food information grounded in their exploration of detox diets and building a healthy immune system.. Their genuine interest in my Huron Artist Residency program was a big plus for this year's current artist-in-residence. They will always be remembered as gracious and kind; it will be nice if our paths cross again!

A wonderful place for a relaxing getaway

We stayed at the cottage for 9 nights and had a wonderful time. The surroundings with the private beach on Lake Huron are outstanding. Helen's unique artwork in the garden sets it apart even more. The cottage fulfills all the promises with a very warm and stylish interior. And waking up with a view of Lake Huron from the bed is spectacular. If you are looking to wind down and relax it is the ideal place! We'll definitely come back again.

I really enjoyed seeing how much these guests relaxed on the beach. They are polite, friendly, and the house was left very clean, always a plus. It was a pleasure to show them my art, as they appreciated and understood it with an educated, and enthusiastic, point of view. I look forward to seeing these fine people again!

Awesome Lake Huron Beach Vacation!

We had a wonderful vacation staying at Helen’s house! We went hiking at nearby parks, kayaking and paddle boarding in Lake Huron, flew kites, strolled the beach every morning, played games every night, had a bonfire, watched an awesome fireworks show at Oscoda, and had a relaxing time! The house was super clean! The walk to the beach was just feet from the house. We loved loved loved our stay! This was the best VRBO booking we have had!!loved it! Highly recommend! Definitely would book again!!

It was a pleasure to see these renters enjoying the beach, firepit, and really relaxing. And it's always special when someone new gets to watch the July fireworks up and down the beach! They are a respectful family, which is important to me, and made sure to leave the house as they found it. Hope they come back!

Not enough strong words to describe the feeling of calm and relaxation at this home. Sunrise is beautiful and impossible to capture its glory with a phone pic! The beach is gorgeous, the lake is clear, and she provides kayaks, a beach cooler, kites, beach games, and no TV. There’s a local, super nice guy who rents out jet skis (there’s a big sign on the road with a number to call). It’s perfect.

Wonderful stay on Lake Huron!

We so enjoyed our stay at Helen's property. Very unique. Cozy. Quiet Artful! home in a very secluded area. A few short steps to the beach! Very fun towns nearby. I hadn't been to this area before and we so enjoyed exploring the East coast of Michigan. Helen was very helpful and easy to reach, She met us with the keys as we came in and checked in again our last day on the beach to see how we liked the place. Unique fun place to stay!

Refreshed and Renewed

Helen's home is unlike any other property in this area. Open, airy, and light, we felt more refreshed every morning. For the first time ever, I was disappointed I brought so many books- Helen has stocked her home with books ranging from typical Crichton-esque beach reads to poetry anthologies, design, young adult, and hardbound classics. I wish I would have read through so many more! The beach is smooth and the lake shallow enough to stay warm and play in all day. We will definitely be back!

Noble Huron indeed!

Truly one of the best vacations and VRBO experiences we’ve ever had! The setting is picturesque and the cottage aesthetics are off the chart! This charming cottage on the shores of Lake Huron is the perfect setting, only to be upstaged by all the artwork on the property. Helen is the most gracious and beautiful host, whose warmth embraces you from the moment you arrive. Lake Huron is only a few feet away and just as amazing as the photos. Kayaking daily was a highlight as the water is crystal clear. Dinners on the patio and nightly bonfires made for the most relaxing vacation. We can’t wait to return! Refreshed and Inspired

Just wonderful. Great beach for long walks, play, swimming, kayaking right from shore. Garage is loaded with fun outdoor/beach games. Beautiful natural landscape - and a real sense of peaceful seclusion. The house and design are highly nuanced and extremely comfortable (the VRBO photos aren’t able to convey how well curated and considered the full and open space is designed and outfitted): the art, a robust library of very interesting books, puzzles/games. Rejuvenating energy with all the openness, natural light and sound of the surf. Be sure to pay attention so you don’t miss anything. And Helen is fun too - warm and comfortable .

The habitat we needed

We arrived early evening after a long drive and simply fell into an easy week of much needed rest and relaxation. Helen, our host, offers her lovely house right on a quiet beach and gives you as much space as you need - she’s kind, calm, generous and a special part of the whole experience. The house is so well stocked with amenities that there were no stresses - and a full-service grocery is within a few minutes drive south. More importantly, Helen hands you the schedule for local farmers markets throughout the week, and the fresh pierogis and tomatoes were our favorites. It’s a quiet retreat - for listening to the sparrows and the waves, for reading good books, bobbing in the water, and sleeping in. Enjoy!

It was fun having this family here! They have all the qualities of people you want to invite to your home and enjoy the beach -- gratitude and respect and happiness -- and the house was super easy to clean after they left. Neat people, in more ways than one! And I really appreciated their open style of communication.

Perfect Slice of Serenity on Huron

My husband and I stayed at this serene and beautiful cottage as part of our anniversary vacation. It is much larger and nicer than the pictures show. One of the cleanest, if not The Cleanest VRBO we've stayed at (10+). The views from the cottage are wonderful and the sound of the surf on the beach is the ultimate relaxation aid. We enjoyed the beautiful sunrises and even the sunset hours provided a pink-ish glow in the sky over the water. The beach itself is ultimate perfection. Large and wide swath of sugar sand, plenty of shells and rocks to collect, privacy and solitude. The towels and linens at the cottage are high-end and luxurious. Which we appreciated very much. The bed is also very comfortable. There are numerous throw pillows and throws on many of the chairs, allowing you to make the spot your personal nest of comfort. We loved being disconnected here. Although there is WIFI, there is no TV; or even clocks anywhere. Since my husband and I don't have cell phones there were times where we didn't know what time it was. We depended on our bodies to tell us when to get up, eat, nap, spend time on the beach, et cetera. Which might be a once-in-a-lifetime thing in this day and age! Helen is a lovely person and super-accommodating. Don't be afraid to reach out to her with special requests or concerns. She was very prompt and thorough in all her communication with us.
