Koppa's Eagle Pines Cabin is a completely renovated, 4 bedroom, 2 bath, rustic lake home that will accommodate 4-12 people and is open for year-round use. Located 15 minutes from Eagle River, in Wisconsin's magical Northwoods, Eagle Pines Cabin is the perfect location to create lifelong memories with family and friends.

Our safe, sandy, shallow sloping beach, 6 kayaks, 4 SUP's, canoe, paddle boat and swim raft all add up to outstanding water fun (ALL included FREE with your stay)! Exceptional lake views, a large 'Tree-Top' deck, and bright three-season cedar porch create plenty of opportunities for relaxing the 'Up North' way. Listen to the loons' North Woods call and watch the local bald eagles soar and occasionally perch in the towering lakeside 'Eagle Pines'.

5-lake Chain
Dam Lake is 744 acres and is the largest lake on the five-lake, Sugar Camp chain just east of St. Germain, WI, and is known for excellent game fishing, swimming, and boating. Additionally, two local bar/restaurants have lake front boat access for extra Up North fun.

Enjoy convenient trail access right out the door! Dam Lake is located directly on the fantastic St. Germain ('Bo Boen') system, with over 1,000 miles of groomed trails from Minocqua to Eagle River and more. Two wood-burning, river stone fireplaces will warm you up after a day on your sleds. Plenty of comfortable living, dining and recreation space for large group gatherings. Firewood is included.

Pat and Laura were very accommodating and maintained great communication —making sure our group had what we needed for an ice fishing adventure. The property had beautiful views of Dam Lake and lots of chances to enjoy the wildlife. Staying here felt like staying in a real home (far cry from rental flip), and it was a privilege for our group.

Great family vacation destination!

Eagle Pines was a lovely place to stay for our family vacation! The adults and young children all enjoyed access to the paddle boat, life jackets, kayaks, and water/sand toys which the Koppa's openly invited us to use during our stay. It was so nice to have direct access to a sandy beach in addition to the pier. A great location for families with young children!

Loved it! Very clean & beautiful being on the lake!

My family rented the house to celebrate Christmas before my mom & dad leave for the winter. The house was perfect we all enjoyed it. We didn’t get to use the lake toys as the weather didn’t cooperate but would definitely rent again! The owners & managers were wonderful!

Amazing Cabin Experience in the Northwoods

From the location itself to the view of the lake, this cabin was an amazing experience. It was such a peaceful retreat. The communication between the property owners couldn’t be more easy. They were so accommodating. Would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to experience a “real north-woods” cabin.

Family get away

Nice place and owners were excellent to deal with. A little bit of a walk to the house from the parking area down some steps to unload the vehicles. Other than that would highly recommend.

Beautiful Property-Great Host

Our family had a great stay. The weather was not ideal for swimming but the kayaks and stand up paddle boards were perfect for the cooler temps. The younger kids loved playing in the sandy beach front. Plenty of space inside and outside. The host was very responsive and checked in to make sure we all got to the property and had everything we needed. Our kids have already asked us to go back!

Great place!

We had a great time at Koppa's! A couple of cloudy days that yielded a 38" Musky and a 5lb Small Mouth bass gave way to mostly sunny weather and a pleasant getaway from the rat race. Great views, Pitliks resort just a short boat or car ride away for dinner and beverages, enjoying the stars from the campfire. Kids enjoyed the paddleboard and kayaks! Great way to recharge the battery!!

Perfect get away

This was our second visit to the Eagle Pines cabin. We have been vacationing in northern WI for years, and we have high standards. This gem does not disappoint in any way. We plan to return as often as possible. Thank you Koppa family, for sharing your perfect northern WI retreat with our family.

Great

We use this as our home base for our weekend with the Snowmobile Hall of Fame event. Worked great for the 9 of us. Trail system was just a short distance down the lake.

Quiet and Relaxing

Our family of 9 have a great week during New Years to relax and have fun. We rented snowmobiles and rode the hundreds of miles of groomed trails right from the house. We also ice fished and ice skated right in front of the house. The real wood fireplace was the perfect way to warm up. What a magical place!

We couldn’t agree more. There is something unique and peaceful about the North Woods in winter. Quiet, relaxing, wholesome enjoyment. Hard to find nowadays.

Ice fishing

We had a blast ice fishing. The property was perfectly set up for us to drive our atv directly onto the ice and catch plenty of fish right out in front of the cabin. I highly recommend this place for anyone that enjoys winter sports. The house was stocked with firewood and we had a great setup to clean our fish as well. We can’t wait to come back. Thanks Pat.

Perfect

We had such a great stay at this Northwoods property! The cabin was incredibly comfortable, spacious, and spotless—it felt like a true home away from home. There was plenty of room for everyone to relax, both inside and out.One of the highlights was definitely the water toys—we made great use of the kayaks and paddle boat, which added a ton of fun to our days on the lake. And the fishing? Fantastic! We caught some really great fish, which made the experience even more memorable.The hosts were also wonderful to work with—super communicative and friendly, which made everything smooth from booking to check-out. Overall, it was an amazing Northwoods getaway. We’d absolutely stay here again!

Great Stay for Pond Hockey

I just wanted to write about how great a stay it was in Eagle River. Pat and property manager Jason were wonderful and accommodating. I’d give it 10 stars if i could. We played in the USA Hockey Pond Hockey Tournament and this cabin was perfect for us. We had space to air out our equipment once we got done. A kitchen and showers so we didn’t have to eat out every night. And the view was amazing. Seriously considering bringing the wives/girlfriends with us next year, everyone had such a good time. So a big thank you to Pat and Jason for letting us stay at the cabin. Book this cabin, this place is great!

Highly Recommend!

This place is phenomenal! We arrived just when the fall colors were beginning and the drive to the cabin was gorgeous. The cabin is further off the road than most of the properties we saw on this lake. We brought our 2 year old and 4 year old with us. There were tons of kid friendly games and videos. There were also plenty of kid friendly dishes in the kitchen. The view of Dam Lake from the cabin is spectacular. The sandy bottom beach was perfect for the kids. Even though we brought our own sand toys, the kids were excited to find plenty of sand toys in the beach house. We were impressed at the life jacket selection and the boats. Our family loved the kayaks and paddleboat. We let the kids fish off the dock and while they didn't catch anything, they got plenty of bites (we think our bait was too big). We had a wonderful stay and we can't wait to return next year!

Bachelor Party

My son chose Eagle Pines Cabin for his bachelor party getaway over several other choices. We were not disappointed!! From the very first email, everything was amazing!! Pat went above and beyond to keep us updated if necessary and he took the time to answer every email/text question that I had for him...even if I asked the same question more than once. The cabin itself was amazing and easily accommodated 11 male adults and had everything that we needed. The guys had plenty of space for their outside games and we spent each night sitting around a fire talking. The kayaks were put to good use and once we found the fish, the crappie fishing was excellent!! The views of the lake were amazing and there was much wildlife to be seen. A deer and fox came for a visit as we sat around the fire. It was just an all around great experience that none of us will forget, especially our soon-to-be married son!! If/when we take a family fishing vacation in the future, Eagle Pines Cabin will be the first place I look up!! Thank You very much Pat and Laura for sharing your cabin with us!!

Perfect dual purpose retreat

Came to the property because our kids were playing in a hockey tournament in Eagle River and we wanted to mix in a little simultaneous vacation time. The cabin housed everyone perfectly and we had a very peaceful fun filled weekend. We'll definitely need to come back again soon!

Pat & Laura Koppa live in the Milwaukee area and have 4 adult children who grew up loving trips to the cabin.

Pat has been coming to Dam Lake since childhood (over 40 years) and Laura joined him when they started dating over 30 years ago.

They purchased their cabin in 2005 in order to have a place to spend more quality time with their kids and create lifelong memories with family and friends. It has certainly provided that!

They are happy to provide the same experience for you and your friends and family.

The North Woods is our favorite place on earth, and Dam Lake is truly a special lake, with beautiful shorlines and varying bays and places to go. Yet, it is between populated areas so never gets crowded. It is one of the best-kept secrets in the North Woods.

The beach. Actually very rare on North Woods lakes, it is a true sandy beach that is great for kids and adults and the swim area is private and pleasant, free of any concentrated weed beds.

The cabin is comfortable and spacious. It's meant to be a traditional, North Woods 'cabin' designed to take your mind away from hectic daily life. It's intended to feel relaxing and pleasant, but not stuffy or perfect. It's a place to enjoy the lake and walk inside in your swimsuit and not be worried. It's meant to provide a relaxed setting for quality time with the people you care about.
