In the heart of Sugar Camp, Wisconsin, you can find our warm 4-bedroom getaway on Sand Lake of the 5 lake Sugar Camp chain. Nestled just a short 15 minute drive from Eagle River and St. Germain, with easy access to snowmobile trails, you'll find endless opportunities for outdoor adventure. Sand Lake provides opportunities for swimming, fishing, boating, tubing and water skiing. Ample parking is available for boat/snowmobile trailers.
Every window of the home offers a beautiful view. Nature provides you with soaring Eagles and the sights and sounds of ducks, loons, and hummingbirds. Relax by the fireplace or enjoy the convenience of the fully stocked kitchen, complete with a stove, oven, refrigerator, grill, microwave, and dishwasher. We truly enjoyed our stay!

So glad that we chose this lovely home for our family trip. The location is beautiful, and the property well kept and very clean! Jackie was so kind to us and very accommodating. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Our family had a great week here. Owners were helpful and answered all questions. House had enough room for us all. Having 2 piers was a bonus.

Great view of the lake, excellent home!

Great property next to Pitliks resort. The home is spacious, and very well maintained. Owner lives next door, is really friendly, and eager to make you feel welcome! No sandy spots to swim in front of the cabin, but Pitliks beaches close by are great. I can't wait to return!

Prefect location to get to all the great snowmobile trails

Had a wonderful time. Great home, lots of space, very clean. Owners are very nice and helpful. Great location to get to all the best trails in the area. Love that Jackie and Bill let us bring our dog. He really enjoyed looking out all the big windows. Highly recommend!!!

Eagle River Family Gathering

We loved the Sand Lake home! Jackie & Bill made sure that we had everything we needed. We’re looking forward to returning next year! The home was spacious and clean for our group of 5 adults and 3 kids. Beautiful setting! Plenty of parking

Beautiful setting, great house, wonderful views from inside.

There were 4 of us and we had a very nice time. Facilities were great, Jackie and Bill were excellent hosts responding to everything we asked and very nice people. Excellent fish fry at the restaurant at the resort plus great food at the White Spruce in Eagle River. We certainly would do it again and would recommend Escape to the North Woods to anyone.

Sand Lake property

Our family returned to our home town to visit. The property was clean and had a fully equipped kitchen. The beds were comfortable and the view of the lake was amazing. We were there in the winter. It would also be an amazing place to stay in the summer/fall months. It has a large deck and grill.

Much needed Family vacation

We had 10ppl in our group with a toddler and the lake house accommodated us very well. We had a wonderful time. The lake house had everything we needed and was very clean and comfortable. The chain of lakes were beautiful and the loon calls by the fire were icing on the cake. Jackie and Bill were very friendly and helpful. Bill also has brand new pontoons for rent which I highly recommend!! Great times had by all!!

Better than advertised

We were pleasantly suprised by the accommodations. The property was very clean and spacious. We had rented in the area previously and this is the 1st home that the property was better than advertised. Being close to Pitlik's resort was a plus,having food and outdoor activities within walking distance. i would recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in the Eagle River area. Add to that, Jackie and Bill are very easy to work with and nice people.

Family Vacation 2022

We had 6 adults and 3 toddlers, and this house worked perfect for us. Plenty of room for everyone to be together and have their own space. Kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. Nice pier to dock our boats, close to a bar/restaurant, and beach. House was clean and beds were comfortable. Just a note to anyone going on the chain of lakes, be careful on Stone Lake, it’s called that for a reason!!!!

Great times and Great House on Sandy Lake

First time staying the in Eagle River Area Arrived at our beautiful weekend home, which was beyond our expectations. The home was spacious, immaculate, and the view from the porch was breathtaking Inside the kitchen we found everything we needed to cook and enjoy homemade meals. The host provided us with wonderful guidance on restaurant choices ans she even arranged to have a Pontoon boat delivered to our dock so we explore all four connected lakes. Great fire pit for roasting s'mores . We look forward to a return visit.

Accommodations were great

This house has everything and anything one would need for a vacation. I was delighted with all of the kitchen helpers and utensils,...even laundry detergent and dish detergent. We didn’t have to worry about a thing. My son commented that the sheets were comfy and everything was perfect. The view was beautiful and the large deck outside and fire pit was wonderful for sitting with a group of people. We all truly enjoyed ourselves. Jackie’s attention to detail made for a fun week.

Large Clean Home at Pitlik's Resort

Rented this house with a couple friends for annual fishing & Beef-a-rama trip. The house has a great view and is on Sand Lake. It was very clean and well maintained and had everything we needed. The owner, Jackie was very responsive. The house has 2 bedrooms on each floor and 2 baths and a large living/dining room with fireplace and large screen tv. The house is situated about equal distance from St Germain and Eagle River. We went to both for restaurants/bars. It's also a short walk to Pitlik's bar & restaurant right next next door but it was far enough away that we didn't hear anything from it. We had a great time and I would recommend property.

Wonderful Week With Family

First I would like to say that Jackie and Bill are wonderful hosts. They addressed out needs immediately through out the rental process. From booking to greeting they were awesome. Very nice people! The unit was large, spacious and very clean. There were 7 of us and we had plenty of space. The gas grill was a big plus. The lake views, fire pit, and deck added a lot to our stay. We rented a pontoon boat for two days and the entire family had fun exploring the lakes. We also found a very nice, shallow area in Dam Lake where we anchored the pontoon boat and got wet. Everyone enjoyed the swimming very much. The kids and grandkids also used and enjoyed the beach and swimming platform at the next door resort. Now the best part😁 for me. I love to fish and the Sand Lakefor I I I I I I love to fish and the Sand / Dam lake chain gave us good steady fishing. The entire family caught fish, including grand kids (7 & 9). We had a few perch, but mostly crappie to show for our efforts. The lakes are clean and beautiful, but not to big for fair weather sailors like me. By the way the big one did get away. Guessing it was a very nice walleye by the way it faught. One more quick point. Cathy's in St. Germain is a great place for a family ice cream adventure. Lots of flavors to choose from, so visit often. By now you know we all had a good time and should have stayed longer 👍. So take this next point with a grain of salt. The kitchen sso So please take the next comment lightly. The refrigerator / freezer combo worked fine, but the refrigerator could have worked better. We adjusted as best we could and it worked, but based on the setting we felt it should have been colder. Keep in mind this was not a big enough issue to raise a concern with Jackie and Bill. I know they would have looked at it very quickly. Once again many thanks to Jackie and Bill. We highly recommend a week of rest and relaxation in northern WI at Jackie and Bill's. P.S. Never use emogies in a review. Once in you can't get rid of them!

Peaceful start to the new year!

The spacious cottage was too big for the two of us (some family could not make because of Covid), but we totally enjoyed it. Comfortable beds. A well stocked kitchen made meal prep easy. The view of the frozen lake and snow was serene. We did not eat at the restaurant, but it was handy that it was within walking distance. The gas fireplace provided a warm ambience. Thank you for allowing us to stay at your place.

Golf outing with friends

Pitliks

The property is owned by one of the Pitlik resort owners. Very roomy with a great view of Sand lake. Boat launch nearby is a plus. Caught many crappies and blue gills on Sand and Dam lake. The resort bar and restaurant are very nice with great Friday night fish. Would not hesitate to come back again. The owners are very friendly.
