Recently remodeled 4 bedroom / 2.5 bath lakefront home (sleeps 10) in the Lake Almanor West community. You'll enjoy all that Lake Almanor has to offer! Downstairs, there is a fully stocked kitchen with walk-in pantry, dining room table, large laundry room/mudroom, living room with a flatscreen smart TV (for entertainment, the home includes DVD player, variety of family-friendly DVDs and games, WiFi), Bedroom #1 (King bed with lake view), Bedroom #2 (twin bunkbeds) and full bath. Upstairs, you'll find Bedroom #3 (King bed with lake view, balcony, and large primary bath) and Bedroom #4 (Queen bed, Twin bed, Full bed and 1/2 bath). The large, wraparound deck has a gas grill, outdoor cooking/prep table, 2 dining tables with seating for 10+, and a spectacular lake view! A large, gently sloping lawn leads you to the water's edge where you'll have access to 3 kayaks and a large, custom dock (accommodates 2 boats), and 2 buoys. There is ample parking in front. Your group will have access to the Lake Almanor West amenities such as the private community boat launch, private rec area (includes a playground, volleyball and basketball courts, bocce courts, lake access), Tennis and Pickleball courts, and a lovely 9 hole golf course, with driving range, pro shop and restaurant. Home includes a wide variety of board games and puzzles as well as outdoor lawn games. This lakefront home is the perfect setting for a memorable family vacation. (Please note: 7 night minimum. No smoking, no pets, no events, and strict maximum of 10 guests.)

Almanor Family Trip 2025

This was a three generational family reunion that was absolutely perfect. From the front door all the way to the dock everything was clean, well stocked, and organized! The owners were responsive and extremely helpful. We wouldn’t change a thing.

Couldn't Be Better!

This home is perfect. Well appointed furniture, lovely bedding and towels, and a kitchen that is well stocked with everything you need for a fabulous family vacation. The view of the lake from the patio is gorgeous. The dock, the kayaks...we couldn't have asked for anything more. Absolutely would stay here again.

Annual Summer Lake Vacation

This was our first time staying at Lake Almanor West and we couldn't have been more pleased! We've been coming to Lake Almanor for nearly 10 years, but made the move to the other side of the lake after our previous cabin was no longer available. The Swingle House is well stocked with linens, kitchen appliances and goods. The position is idyllic and we hope to be back many more times in the future.

Incredible Home, Perfect Location, and Wonderful Owners

Wow. This place is magical. The location is the absolute best - right on the lake with a beautiful lawn and spacious patio. Our kids played in the lake and jumped off the dock right in front of the house for hours. The home is updated, cozy, and stocked with everything you could ever want (honestly more than my own house)! The owners are incredibly responsive, gracious, and kind. Honestly, this house and vacation exceeded all expectations and I can’t wait to go back!!

Amazing!!!

My family and I just stayed at this beautiful home on Lake Almanor. The house was beautiful and the setting was perfect. The home had everything we needed ..... very well stocked. We will definitely plan another trip to this property!

Perfect in so many ways!

We had a wonderful week! From the moment we drove in we knew we had made a great choice! We had a perfect view of the lake from inside and out on the deck. The water access and dock were right there! The boat ramp was close by. The inside of the house was brand new, spotlessly clean and very well laid out, the beds were comfortable. We had plenty of towels for bath and beach. The kitchen was usable and well supplied. We spent the days reading, enjoying the paved bike paths, the kayaks, skiing, boating and golfing. One day we took a short drive into Chester to check out the art gallery and grocery store. We spent each evening enjoying the quiet, the view, great food and friends. Everyone of us said we want to come back next year for a repeat! Carol and Tom, thanks for sharing your lakefront home! It is perfect!

Location, location, location!

What's not to like about a home that boasts a large front lawn that slopes directly down into a private dock on a gorgeous lake? The house itself was impeccably clean, very well-organized and stocked with everything we could have asked for. In my perfect world, the living room would have been larger. Other than that, our family of 6 was very happy to call this place home for a week.

Beautiful home, perfect in every way!

We have been visiting Lake Almanor for many years and spent a week in July at this home. We can't say enough great things about the house, the location, and the owners. It was absolutely perfect for our family of 4 adults and 3 children. This was one of the best experiences we have had with a rental property! The owners Tom and Carol have literally thought of everything to make your stay amazing. The house is spacious yet cozy, very clean, and beautifully decorated. Our children especially loved the bunk bed room which was decorated with woodland animals and children’s artwork. The location couldn't have been better! Just steps away from the lake, the home has a superior dock perfect for pontoon boats to wave runners. Sloping lake access made it very easy and fun for the kids to wade into the water. The large living room and outdoor deck provided plenty of room & beautiful views. Tom and Carol go above and beyond to make sure their guests have everything they need during the stay. The kitchen is original to the house and adds a charming rustic touch. It had all of the equipment needed for large family dinners. Each of the 3 bathrooms were fully stocked with soap, shampoo and other essentials. The owners have a wonderful system of organization and had various supplies (sunscreen, band aids, etc) in labelled bins. They even provided kayak's, life jackets for all ages & sizes, and beautiful beach towels! Having traveled a long distance for the holiday, it was wonderful to not have to lug all of our own towels, linens and such as you do with many other rentals. We literally showed up and were in vacation mode in minutes. We definitely want to stay again and highly recommend this home!

Beautiful house

We really enjoyed staying at this house!! Most of it has been re-done and there was a lot of attention to detail!! The dock was clean and great for our boys to fish off of and also to use our boat!! There are also 3 kayaks that the owners let us use, and if my boys weren't fishing or waterskiing, then they were having a blast kayaking!! The house was clean and neat and owners were great to work with!! Highly recommend staying here!!

Amazing view, perfect lake house, and great owners!

Myself and some friends & family rented this property for Memorial Day Weekend 2017 and were very impressed with both the property and our overall experience with Carol and Tom. I would not be able to live with myself if I did not start this review off by stating how AMAZING the view is from the living room, balcony, deck, and lawn (essentially anywhere on the property facing the lake). In all scenarios you have an unobstructed, front row view of Lake Almanor that is truly breathtaking. There was something especially refreshing to be able to just sit on the back deck and enjoy the view while drinking a cup of coffee in the morning or unwinding with a beer in the evening. The house is very functional and includes several beds, bedrooms, bathrooms (including a large master bathroom), large table, propane grill, and washer/dryer. There is a mix of newer appliances, like the fridge, and a fairly old looking oven and microwave. However, we baked several take-and-bake pizzas and reheated several items in the microwave noting that both functioned perfectly fine. It appears that the owners have made some recent renovations, including the lighting in the living room and wood floors downstairs. The lawn is a very good size and was able to easily accommodate the lawn games we brought with us (cornhole, ladderball, wiffleball, frisbee, etc.). It is also worth noting that the property is within walking distance to the Lake Almanor West Rec Area, for those interested in a playground, volleyball court, basketball, and larger field area. For those who golf, the clubhouse of the local course is just a short drive away (though I'm partial to Bailey Creek). Additionally, the house did have it's own dock and kayaks for use. The lake was a little chilly during our trip, but we jumped in nonetheless. Carol and Tom were very responsive throughout the entire process, including answering any questions we had when expressing interest in renting but before making the actual booking. The instructions that they provided were clear and understandable and we had no issues gaining access upon arrival or locking up upon leaving. Overall, I would absolutely rent from Carol and Tom again and highly recommend both the location and the owners for a wonderful experience in Lake Almanor. Thank you!

Great Almanor Retreat!!

Our girls getaway turned out perfect thanks to this fantastic house and picturesque setting! We spent the majority of our trip sunbatheing on the dock with snow atop the mountains, couldn't have asked for a more relaxing setting! The house was immaculent and everyone had a comfortable bed to sleep in! The kitchen had enough gadgets and was well stocked with spices and extras to keep the "chef" happy! Couldn't have asked for a better weekend! Not to mention, Carol was great to work with! We hope to book again in the near future!
