There are a few things that make this town so special: it's world-renowned for surfing and yoga, has a small-town feel, and the beaches are protected natural reserves. So the beaches are unlike any other - primitive, untouched and the most beautiful sunsets you'll ever see.

Weekend stay!

I stayed with my Dad comfortably in the spacious downstairs apartment. The hosts were extremely accommodating and the vibe was very private and peaceful throughout the property. The kitchen has everything you need to cook but if you need anything the hosts are more than happy to help. The beach is so close it was extremely convenient for wave checks and there are food markets and rstauaunts all within walking distance. Guiones is a beautiful place and white picket fence is in the perfect location to experience both north and south Guiones!

Wonderful spot

My husband and I stayed for one week and loved every minute. The grounds are gorgeous. The pool is fantastic. Unit had everything we needed to be comfortable. Location is spot on for everything in and around Playa Guiones. Short walk to beach and so many restaurants.

Little slice of heaven!

The most beautiful little space in the whole wide world. We had a couple friends in other properties, and ours was by far the best most magical spot of all. It was central to everything, the best food & surf right down the street. The other couple who stayed upstairs had their own privacy, so the closeness of quarters was never a thing, even with shared pool access. We will definitely have to be back. So safe and comfortable and we couldnā€™t have wished for a better place. Thank you Ale!

A slice of paradise

The proximity of this property to all of the best Nosara has to offer was incredible. The property had a quaint and clean pool, lovely outdoor areas and was just a short walk from the beach. There were plenty of restaurants, shops and activities within walking distance. There was also access to surf lessons and ATV tours on property, if interested. We took a surf lesson from Patrick and he's exactly the guy you'd want to learn how to surf from. We really enjoyed it as first-timers. We stayed in the downstairs unit and there was minimal noise from the apartment above. It had a large living/kitchen space, though we didn't really use it. The bedroom and bath were good size and we had no issues with water pressure, keeping it cool or anything like that. Bonus points for the three beautiful resident great danes. It was a great home base for our first time discovering Nosara.

Pura Vida

Spent three days with Alex at The White Picket Fence and couldn't be happier. The tropical garden is magical. The place was great. Location was awesome. Rented some boards and did the ATV Tour, excellent. Got some love from the doggies, fantastic. Can't wait to head back! Mark & Michele

Great time

Really great location. Very chill property. Residents there were great. Loved the Great Danes. They are adorable. We were in the bottom unit. AC worked great in the bedroom. Kitchen and living room were great. Hammock hanging on the porch was great. Loved the bikes- very convenient. I'd definitely stay here again.

Heaven has a White Picket Fence

Our family (my wife, daughter - 13 and son - 12) traveled to Costa Rica for the first time this past Christmas break. What an unbelievable experience. Caroline, Alex and Patrick (owners) were amazingly helpful. Caroline even helped us find another place to stay for an additional 2 nights. We rented surfboards from the house (on the property) and Patrick gave me two great surf lessons. We rented Quads from Alex (on the property). The location of the house is perfect. It's a one minute walk from the beach. I woke up every day, walked the board down to the beach and had a surf session before the family got going. The house is right in town with a bunch of places to eat and drink. The food is great everywhere! Right around the corner, the Go Juice cart and Rosi's were two of our favorites. We had a car service (Caroline helped me set up) drop us from the Liberia airport to the house and rented a golf cart (Caroline helped me set up) for our 12-day stay. Throw in some fun with a couple Quad Runners from Alex for a couple days and that is all you need! The house has a pool, great A/C, two amazing great dane dogs (Maggie & Ruth), hammocks, open kitchen area, comfy beds, nice bathrooms... couldn't have been better. We have spent our vacations in Rincon, PR, Barbados, Honduras, Belize. This was my favorite. The people there are GREAT. The surf is GREAT ( all the time!!!), the food is GREAT. The house is GREAT. You really can't go wrong with this location. It really was heaven. Thank you Caroline, Patrick and Alex. We miss it there and will be back soon.

Wonderful

We had a wonderful stay at White Pickett Fence this past summer. I was traveling with my nephew and boyfriend and the staff at White Pickett Fence were so kind and accommodating throughout our stay. We stayed in the ground floor unit and found the space perfect for usā€”it was so nice to have a full kitchen and common area. The bedrooms were cozy, clean, comfortable, and just what we needed. My nephew loved the pool and when we werenā€™t at the beach, he was at the pool! The property is a short walk to the beach, the local grocery store, and all the restaurants of Nosara. Dian, Alex and Caroline set us up with everything we needed including horseback riding and quad tours. We would absolutely stay here again!

After traveling back and forth to Nosara for years, it was time to make a commitment! White Picket Fence was built in 1998, and we're excited to share this hidden gem.

Want to wake up hidden in the jungle but still only be a 2-minute walk to the beach? You've found your spot! There's nothing better than bird watching and swinging in the hammock with a cup of Costa Rican coffee. Then grab your board for a surf or take a quad tour through the mountains to see the farmlands and rolling hills. But we should warn you - you probably won't want to leave.
