Dear Jeanne, I was very saddened to read your review, especially as I reached out to you twice straight after your departure to refund the fans you bought. Which I did. I regret that there has been a miscommunication regarding the aircon. The previous guests had left it on heating more, and it got turned on to air conditioning on your arrival. It takes time for the machine to cool down and provide cold air, but as you didn't mention any issue to Caroline despite talking to her regularly, she could only assume it was working correctly. We can't deal with a technical issue if we are not made aware of a problem. As soon as the cleaners saw the fans, we suspected something was wrong and reacted immediately, sending the technician within hours on a Saturday. Unfortunately, breakdowns can happen on any piece of equipment, and I believe that we responded as swiftly as possible when informed of the issue. We would have sent the technician earlier if you had reached out telling us that the aircon wasn't functioning. I honestly don't know how we could have handled things differently, but I appreciated the inconvenience caused and reached out to you immediately to offer a refund. A three-star review reflects very poorly on us and the service we strive to provide to our guests, and, on this occasion, I don't believe we deserve it. I hope this doesn't reflect your full appreciation of your stay and that you have enjoyed a happy vacation with your family.
