Welcome to Frances Cottage

Frances Cottage is in the ideal location in Saugatuck; right on the hill, and within walking distance to downtown. This cottage comfortably accommodates 12. This home features a large kitchen, dining room, & two living areas. Offering plenty of living space to accommodate your family's needs while being very close to the attractions, restaurants, and galleries of Saugatuck and Douglas. The indoor space is not the only thing to brag about, the backyard offers a large patio with a seating area, firepit, and grill. This vacation home is perfect for families or friends getaway.

INSIDE THE HOME
Located on the main floor are both living areas, a dining room, a large open kitchen, two bedrooms with queen size beds in each, and two full bathrooms. Additionally, there is a sleeper sofa and futon in the living areas if needed. The other two bedrooms are located upstairs, one being a queen size and the second contains a twin and double size bed. The kitchen is well equipped with the basics including a coffee bar, if there is anything specific you may need please ask.

THE LOCATION
Want to be in the hustle bustle, but still have your piece and quiet? Frances Cottage is the place for you. Located just on top of "the hill" downtown Saugatuck is a 5 minute walk away. Oval beach is a 10 minute drive, unless you are a true walker and want to take the chain ferry across the river.

Have an even larger group? Frances Cottage is almost directly across from Call Me Frances who sleeps 14. These two homes are intended to be rented separately.

What a great week!

3 generations of our family stayed at Frances Cottage for a full week. Children ages 4-10, their parents, and the grandparents. This place gave us plenty of space to sleep, socialize, and just have fun. It has a well appointed kitchen, 2 bathrooms, a big kitchen table where we could eat and play games (lots of games are provided) and plenty of TVs and movies. The backyard is generous and has a fire pit. The location is within walking distance of the downtown area and other activities just a short drive away. It’s in a beautiful neighborhood. Now no property is perfect so that’s where my second praise comes in. We had a minor issue or two and the management company responded quickly and cheerfully. They also sent helpful text reminders to make sure we knew how to get in and check out. Just great service. We loved our stay and recommend it without hesitation.

Great place for family

We will be staying here again. Friendly host and had things you need on a day to day basis while on vacation like shampoo, soap, laundry pods, etc. They were outstanding, anytime I had a question or issue they responded in a few minutes. The location of this specific property was great. One minute walk from downtown Saugatuck and a couple minute drive to many beaches it had everything we could want. Spent most of our time wandering around Saugatuck, visiting coffee shops, parks, and local marina. It was a great experience all around.

Perfect location

Francis cottage was a oerfect location for our stay. Within walking distance to all the shops and restaurants. The place was very clean and suitable for 8 women. Loved having a fire pit and fire wood to burn for a chilly might.Would absolutely stay here again!

Very comfortable with a great location , adequate parking, comfortable beds , a well equipped kitchen with good , newer appliances and a good ice maker. There were enough towels toilet paper and soap as well as garbage bags . The TVs were good and conveniently located . The wifi was good . We came for a family party at another location . All our needs were met .

Fun place to stay in Saugatuck😁

We had a great time during our trip! This place is clean, week-supplied, and has lots of little places for people to hang out. Our teens like the two living areas to play video games. The fire pit area is big and we used it every night. The kitchen is really well-stocked and lots of little touches made it really nice. If you have mobility issues, you should be aware that it’s at the top of a hill, but it was fine for all of us. Totally worth it for the great location. Also, there are step-ups into some rooms/spaces. The driveway was skinny so we parked four deep and had to move cars when anyone needed to leave. The owner lives above the garage- really nice guy and he checked on us. He gave us advice on places to go and told us about Saugatuck. .

Girl's Weekend Trip

The five of us had a wonderful getaway at the Frances Cottage in Saugatuck. The cottage was conveniently located and within walking distance to town for shopping, dining and walks along the river. Uncommon coffee Roasters was one of our favorite early morning walks for our special brewed coffee. Our check-in was slightly delayed because the cottage is being totally renovated but the management company provided a partial refund for our first day. They were very responsive. Randy was a great host and the upgrades to the cottage are beautiful. We would highly recommend this VRBO to others. Thank you for the wonderful weekend.

FAB girls weekend

We are group of 10 friends that worked together and are, let’s just say over 50. We get together monthly and sometimes let the hubbies join. Not this time. The kitchen/dining area was PERFECT for this eat, drink and be merry, (and loud) friend group. Just enough sleeping spaces and clean well appointed home. Great neighborhood! 9 min walk to town. We even had the local high school Homecoming parade pass us and throw candy. Kitchen has large fridge and several coffee pots, (thank you). Great weekend!

Nice cottage for a group of friends and great management company

Enjoyed the house. It’s a good size for 8 people. The fire pit in the back was a hit with our group. Awesome central location to Saugatuck. The management company was very commutative from start to finish. We had a small plumbing issue and I was kept in the loop about it being revolved. I very much enjoyed the texting communication channel and also the email details of happenings in the area. Would stay here again when traveling with a group of friends.

Wonderful vacation home

Great location within walking distance of downtown Saugatuck. House is a well-maintained century home. Very well-equipped with a nice back yard featuring a deck and patio with a nice fire pit. Kitchen had everything a family needed to prepare meals. Bathrooms were clean and very functional for an active family. Bedrooms were comfortable. Driveway easily accommodated three cars. Was on the Fourth of July parade route! Lots of fun for the kids. Plan to rent again.

The property was very clean, no smelly air freshener! and so very close to town. The home was very comfortable and more than enough space for 8 adults. The kitchen is spacious and the backyard is beautiful. There are two bathrooms on the main floor that have been remodeled and are very nice. No bathrooms on the second floor. The website should be updated to state that not all beds are queen size but rather full size. There is a bit of a trip hazard between kitchen and dining room. I would recommend this house.
