Family friendly home with lots of charm and awesome covered porch

Beautiful 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath home along South Shore Drive. This family cottage was built in 2001 with upgrades made in 2013, comfortably sleeps 7 with room for an extra kid or two in the bonus bunk room.

This property is located in a quiet neighborhood setting and is appropriate for likeminded renters. The house has a shared beach access across South Shore Drive with dock. A public boat launch is two doors down, so if you are bringing a boat let us know.

We are looking to share our family summer cottage as our kids' schedules are limiting our time in Northern Michigan.

We had an amazing stay near crystal lake. We were in town for the Ironman race in Frankfort and it was a quick less than 10 minute drive to the race area which was amazing. The covered proxy was our favorite place to hang out. Thanks again!

Perfect location

You simply can't do much better on Crystal Lake. The location is absolutely wonderful with easy access to the lake and nearby Frankfort and Beulah. The house and area are very dog-friendly and the property had everything we needed.

Wonderful house rental

This house was absolutely perfect for our family of 7. The rooms were spacious and clean and the beds were comfortable. The house had everything we needed to cook meals during our stay. The kids loved the rooms with the bunk beds! There were games for the family to play. It’s location was an Easy drive to downtown Frankfort and Lake Michigan. Communication with the owners was excellent. The neighborhood had a relaxed vibe. The view of the lake from the balcony was my favorite! Enjoyed walking down the street with my dog and having the lake view the entire walk! . Neighborhood was Very dog friendly! I would absolutely return here with my family. Thank you for allowing us to rent this house for my kids first visit up north and to Lake Michigan! Many memories made that will last forever

Great place!

We had a great time at this property. We were in Frankfort for a weekend event, and this place was nice and close. The house was clean and roomy. The beds were comfortable. We even walked down to the lake and went for a quick swim off the dock. The lake is gorgeous! Thanks for a comfortable place for our weekend event.

Nice spacious cottage on crystal lake south shore. Limited views of lake and water access for swimming at cottage but otherwise nice spot.

Wonderful cozy house

We really enjoyed our stay! The house was in a perfect location and we LOVED the outdoor deck. It had everything we needed with more than enough room for our family of six! Our hosts could not have been nicer and were very responsive. We loved having the boat covred dock with lift!

Highly recommend you try this property!!

Not only was the house perfect for our family with a fantastic view of the lake, but the owners Scott and Nancy were way more than accomodating with all of our questions and needs. Responded immediately when messaged and had all the comforts of home in the house and kitchen. Was just a quick drive to crystal to hit the slopes and close to some great restaurants in Frankfort, MI. The perfect setting! Would highly recommend trying this property!

Family Holiday Get together

The property and location were amazing! The rental had everything our family needed, and plenty of space for the family to hang out. The only complaint we have is that the cable wasn’t working, but who really needs cable when you’re with your family? The views from the Dining/Living area is amazing, we will definitely be booking here again!

Relaxing!

We found this home to be set in a very relaxing location yet close to great locations. Just a few minutes from downtown Frankfort. Crystal Lake is beautiful and we were able to go for some nice walks and bike rides as well. The owner allowed us to use their bikes. This home was great for a good old fashioned family getaway. Thank you Scott!

Everything we could have wanted.

Great location with access to everything we could have wanted to enjoy a week up north. The home was clean and well appointed. The home owner was quick to answer any questions and offer suggestions of things to do in the area. During a canoe ride on 9/11 of all days, we saw 2 American bald eagles perched in a tree and soar across the lake ... amazing memories! We just loved everything about our stay! Sunsets at nearby Point Betsie Lighthouse are a must! Thanks for everything Scott!

Excellent Location. Lots of Room

My husband and I stayed 5 nights. The house was very clean, spacious and located close to Sleeping Bear where we spent our time. The house was beautifully and effectively cooled.

great house but hot with no AC

great house with great owners but we were flying in from out of state and did not know that several homes didn’t have AC in michigan. it was HOT. we happened to be there in a heat wave so the avg temp in the home was 83 degrees while we were there. the owner quickly responded when we expressed our concern and sent over several fans which helped but I wish I had known beforehand...being hot was the only downside...this house is on the side of the lake where there isn’t much of a breeze so it was hard to cool it down. other than that, it’s a great house with wonderful, nice owners.

Fantastic location and great house

We had such a good time on our vacation to Crystal Lake. This home is conveniently located close to Beulah and Frankfort and directly across the street from Crystal Lake. The kids retreat on the first floor was great - 3 sets of bunk beds and their own TV (not that we watched much). Home is beautifully cared for and the kitchen had everything we might need! It was our kids first trip to Crystal Lake and they didn't want to leave! We will definitely look at renting here next time we're in the area.

I grew up in Frankfort, but have lived 40 miles outside of New York City for the past 25 years. I have never missed a summer in Northern Michigan, and my wife and I now bring our kids to enjoy the laid back life this area offers.

This house has great views of Crystal Lake, plenty of space, and located at the desirable East end of South Shore Drive. The small beach area and dock make it perfect for kids, big and small.

The house is fully stocked for a family vacation. Huge deck in the back and covered porch in front make for great areas to relax. Feel free to use our bikes and canoe to enjoy your stay in our home!

The adjacent property sits on the hill behind our house and is connected by stairs hidden among the trees.
