Red Barn Cottage, A World Away in Historic Victorian Ferndale

The Red Barn Cottage is located within walking distance of the historic, Victorian village of Ferndale. The Cottage is a charming, separate studio with a private entrance, gated patio, full kitchen and bathroom. Enjoy exploring Ferndale, the nearby Pacific Ocean, majestic redwoods, and lush farmlands. The fairgrounds are only one block away and downtown Ferndale is 4 1/2 blocks away. This space is perfect for a couple or a family with one child. We have a folding bed, if needed, for your child. A small dog is considered with approval and an additional $50 nonrefundable pet fee.
The Cottage is a separate studio with a private entrance, gated and fenced patio, full kitchen and bathroom. It has a homey atmosphere with all the amenities of home, including a queen size comfy bed, WiFi and Cable TV. Your comfort is our top priority! Continental breakfast items and snacks are complimentary. A Keurig coffeemaker and quality coffee and teas are included. We try to think of everything to make sure that your stay with us is relaxing and memorable!

This was our 4th time staying at the Red Barn Cottage and our 3rd time staying for our anniversary (we think). Lynne has thought of everything to make our stay comfy. We are always pampered and feel refreshed when we leave for home. Fresh flowers from Lynne's garden, a Happy Anniversary card paired with a bottle of wine greeted us on this visit. Soft blankets and bathrobes await. Fresh eggs and baked muffins were at the ready for breakfast. We will surely stay at this delightful cottage again! Thank you, Lynne!!

This is the second time we have stayed at the Red barn cottage. It is by far one of the best homes we have rented. It is spotlessly clean. It is exactly as advertised with so many extra touches. Everything was thought of. The cupboards have hot and cold cereals, the freezer two different kinds of muffins. Teas, coffees condiments and more. Nothing is forgotten. The bed is comfortable. The floors are heated which makes for perfect heating without a sound.We love to visit Ferndale at Christmas time and the town did not disappoint. There is even an ice rink this year at the fair grounds which we could walk to. Will definitely return.

Your "cottage" was perfect for us. Private and quiet. TV is hard to see over your feet. Ha Ha nice everything from kitchen, to the shower. Very clean.

Charming

The cottage was perfect! Lynne left all kinds of goodies. Lots of amenities including access to washer and dryer. This place is truly peaceful and charming. Lynne and Lee were extremely gracious and awesome hosts. We would definitely stay here again Highly recommended

Ferndale gem

We stayed here for 2 nights to run the half marathon at avenue of the giants. The red cottage is beautiful, the bed was comfortable and cozy, the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed and the muffins and treats were awesome. It was a great place to have some R&R. We highly recommend this wonderful gem.

Anniversary Getaway

This is our 3rd (or perhaps our 4th) stay at Red Barn Cottage and we continued to be amazed at all the thoughtful amenities provided. Lynn and Lee pay attention to every detail including fresh-cut flowers, a sweet anniversary card and wine to celebrate our special occasion. This sweet cottage is a quiet, charming and wonderful place to unwind, connect and refresh! Thank you, Lynn and Lee, for pampering us so very well!

This is one the best experiences I've had. Excellent location, surrounded by peacefulness, yet close enough to walk into town. The cottage felt warm and inviting. The host did amazing in ensuring we had a comfortable and relaxing stay. Excellent communication with the host. I highly recommend.

Absolutely wonderful!

The Red Barn Cottage is absolutely wonderful! It’s beautifully decorated and the owners have stocked it with everything you could possibly need and more. It was very clean, quiet and comfortable with many special touches such as fresh cut roses, wine and comfy robes.

Lovely cottage

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at the Red Barn Cottage in Ferndale. Nicely decorated and very clean and comfortable. Fresh roses on the table - that was so welcoming! The hosts provided muffins, eggs, milk, coffee and other items - much appreciated! A very special experience in beautiful Ferndale.

Fantastic Find

Red Barn Cottage was fantastic. Upon arrival we quickly saw Lynne had anticipated our every need. The Cottage was filled with small but thoughtful "extras". We wanted to spend time with the Redwoods and this location was perfect for our daily adventures. The cottage, cozy but not too small. We had dreaded the idea of a hotel for multiple days since we had already been travelling over a week. The cottage allows us to settle, unpack, and reorganize in a very lovely spot and great value. We will definitely return.

7th Anniversary Trip

This was our second stay at the Red Barn Cottage and it didn't disappoint! It was as lovely with the attention to detail that we experienced the first time. Fresh eggs, homemade pumpkin choc chip muffins and all the fixings for breakfasts were at the ready. We were pampered in this serence and quiet getaway cottage. Thank you, Lynne and Lee, for the beautiful anniversary flowers and card! This cottage is truly a gem!

We really enjoyed our stay (3 nights)! Our hosts provided everything you could need and then some. The location was perfect for exploring Ferndale and the surrounding areas. Sweet Ferndale Cottage

We had a wonderful stay at the Red Barn Cottage. Perfectly located in quiet neighborhood and walking distance to town. What a hidden gem! The cottage is fully stocked with everything you need, and more. And so nice they welcome pets too! We will definitely plan on staying here again next time in Ferndale.

Perfect getaway

We came to town for a dog sporting event, the property is in walking distance to the fair grounds, which was the venue we were attending. The space is perfect for two people, clean and completely stocked with snacks, coffee, breakfast items. The space is spotless and bed was super comfortable. We loved ambience of the town!

We try to think of everything amenity to make your stay with us in our scenic and beautiful area more comfortable.
