Only a few barefoot steps to the sandy path and the best beach on Lake Michigan. You're just up the street from Washington Park Zoo and the Oasis Splash Pad, as well as Washington Park, the Amphitheater, and the Marina. This house sleeps up to 12 with 3 bedrooms - two with queen beds and one with twin bunk over double bed with a trundle. There are two foldout couches in the living room - a queen and a twin. There is also a foldout queen couch in the basement. Plus an additional twin over double bunk bed with trundle in the basement. There are two full bathrooms with modern amenities. With hardwood floors throughout, the sunroom/living room and the bright, sunny kitchen provide plenty of space to enjoy quality family time. Outdoor patio for grilling and outdoor dining. Side yard has ample space for games and relaxing after a day at the beach. Side patio with table/umbrella, seating for 6 and a gas grill (propane provided). And, after the sun goes down, enjoy sitting around the fire pit (firewood provided) under the stars or head indoors and play a game of pool or air hockey. Any time of day, relax on the front deck and soak in some sun. We provide firewood for the fire pit. WIFI throughout. Smart TVs are ready for you to log into your streaming service. For traditional fun, there are books, board games and a pool/air hockey table to enjoy when you're not on the beach or out and about exploring the area. The house has central air conditioning and also features beautiful screened windows. Plenty of street and driveway parking is available for several cars. Three mountain bikes are provided for touring the area as well. Families with children will appreciate the proximity to the beach and side yard to play. Dogs are welcome, with owner approval and additional deposit. LaPorte County Parks, Indiana Dunes State Park and Friendship Gardens all welcome dog walking. The kitchen is fully equipped with all utensils, pots and pans and necessities available to create a gourmet meal - just bring your groceries. The additional features to help make your stay easier are included - coffee maker/filters, Keurig, toaster, crock pot, blender. Bath towels, linens, and beach towels are provided. The basement laundry room has washer and dryer. Dish soap, hand soap, and paper towels are also available. To make your beach visit easier, beach chairs, a wagon, life jackets, toys and a cooler are provided. Aside from the beautiful beach, there is so much to see and do in Michigan City including the Lighthouse Outlet Mall, Blue Chip Casino, weekly Saturday farmers' markets all summer, concerts in the park, Friendship Gardens, Indiana Dunes National Park, U-pick orchards as well as the historic Old Lighthouse Museum and the Barker Mansion. Plenty of golf, bike trails, restaurants, breweries, wineries, and other attractions await! Cyclists will enjoy the newly extended Singing Sands bike trail through the city from the Calumet Trail.
