Ratings are difficult here’s my opinion.
The condo grows on you, pictures are accurate
I would recommend this condo and plan to return, We stayed 21 days February 2020
DeAnna is very prompt in answering emails
5 stars for cleanliness and the maid is excellent and recommend booking her.
5 stars you have a fantastic view
Deanna is a great decorator, outside living space as you can see from the pictures is 5 star.
Internet is not high on my list of priorities and yes it is slow. However, the entire complex the internet is slow. And the internet is very fast at different times of the day for example before 8am and between 2 and 4. For email and basic searches it is fine for me. 4.5 stars. Downloading 1 star.
Bed comfort is high on the list and yes the beds are hard, 3 stars. Recommend to the owner to purchase a 2 inch memory foam
Hot water this is very high on the list. The master bedroom is 5 to 6 minutes of hot water and then wait 10 min. 3 star. Oddly enough the spare bedroom has enough hot water for two showers and lots to spare so 5 stars.
Kitchen is high in priority and it is very basic but it’s fine my wife was not happy with the kitchen. Appliances are older, But the oven worked great, fridge and microwave are good 3 star from my wife as she feels it’s old. and 4 star for me. Again everyone is different. Very clean!
Ants, this is very high on my list, and I am aware this is Mexico and it’s the tropics. So I strongly recommend you keep the kitchen clean and wipe up after every meal. This comes in at a 4 star. There was an issue when it rained and the master bedroom had at least 50 to100 ants. However the owner asked if I wanted to fumigate and to be honest when the rain stop I never saw an ant in the bedroom after that. So two star when it rains. Five star for owners attention in the matter.
Noice this is very important as this is a relaxing holiday again this is Mexico and they love to party on weekends, so very noisy at the hotels on Friday and Saturday night music till 4 am but again it’s the whole complex. Very quiet rest of the week. Rate?
Air flow is very important, note very high end ceiling fans and air conditioners. However we like the windows and doors open and there are no screens.Rating?
Las Hadas hotel the following are Excellent
Snorkelling Swimming Dive master
We love to walk and you can walk 20 min around the water front to Main Street over by Barcelo hotel.
Taxis are cheap 50 to 60 pesos anywhere within 20 min.
Includes wal mart and the market
On top of the world with a great view
The property looks exactly like the listing, although one thing through us off. In the pictures it looks orange/peach in color when in fact it is white, that is until the sun rises and the colors from sunrise change the colors in the suite.
We loved the open concept as we basically sat outside every night with a wonderful view above every one. Pool was great and had lots of sun and breeze to help cool things off a little as it can get very hot during the day. We were there in mid January and it was basically 31C or higher during the day.
Some noise from other resorts, but not much you can do about that. As long as you close the bedroom doors it really isn't bad and some nights the music was actually quite enjoyable.
Condo had everything we needed and staff throughout the facility were very friendly and helpful.
Depending on how close to the main drag you want to be could impact your requirements, although it is a short cab ride to the stores and main bus routes. It was probably further than we prefer, but we knew that going in and had no problems getting where we wanted to go.
There are 4 restaurants within easy walking distance (max 10 minutes) within the condo area or next door at Las Hasdas resort with lots of food choices.
The pool feels a little cool, but really isn't and the
To clarify a few previous comments the may be of concern.
1. The taxi from the airport was 590 Peso's ($49 CAD), back to the airport was 400 Peso's ($35 CAD)
2. A taxi from the condo to the grocery stores was 50 to 70 Peso's ($4 to $6 CAD) each way, generally 50 or 60 although a few were slightly higher and drivers wouldn't move.
3. There are 3 grocery stores within this taxi range, Soriano, Walmart and Comercial. Walmart is slightly cheaper but the others have better selections. We really like Comercial.
4. If you have any trouble with heat in the showers there are breakers for each and just need to be reset. The master bedroom's breaker is in the washer room and the second bedroom has instructions to locate it out on the deck.
5. You can walk to the stores, although it is about 35 minutes and anyone with walking challenges would struggle. It would be a long walk back of you were carrying many bags. Note: There is one trick, you go through the Las Hadas resort, along the pathway and a guard has to let you through a gate to continue on the walkway, they will let you back through when you return.
We would definitely book this unit again.
Best view on Manzanillo beach!
It was our first family vacation since probably 20 years and we all loved the penthouse, it was perfect! Loved waking up to the sun rise and watching it from the outside patio. It was a hike going up to the room while they were fixing the elevators, but they finished while we were there! I actually ran up the 12 flight of stairs for a good workout! Fridge, toaster, microwave, and portable stove worked so we were able to cook with the groceries we bought at Walmart a few times (a short taxi ride for 700 pesos). Wifi wasn’t great, but it’s vacation enjoying the beach was our main priority. I liked being right next to Las Hadas hotel, we had their amazing breakfast buffet most mornings for $15/person or $60/day pass for breakfast, towels, all you can drink, pool access, lunch, and snack access! It’s not your typical touristy area (no clubs or party life), the area is definitely calm and a lot of locals come for vacation. After check-in I didn’t have to message the host at all b/c no issues! Would definitely stay here again!
