The wineries are open and quietly full of locals, the Farmers Markets have moved indoors and the waterfalls are looking like ice chandeliers!

Call up your old college besties or gather up the family and make it a long weekend at our warm and welcoming historic home on the Seneca Wine Trail!

Come stay at the most gracious house on the wine trail, it will be love at first sight! Gathering Hill Farm will be the place you want to return to every year to explore the gorgeous Finger Lakes, experience the amazing wines and food of this magic area, attend events at Cornell and Ithaca College or just relax. Any time of year the distant views of Seneca lake from the front porch or surrounding 8 acres of fields and woods will offer a retreat from the everyday. Gathering Hill Farm is in the heart of the regions best food and beverages, stunning views and the local music scene.

The home is a gracious 5 bedroom, 3 bath property with outdoor living space and a barn for entertaining options. Comfortably furnished with everything you might need for a small or large group, you'll enjoy the well equipped kitchen, sunny breakfast room, large dining room and open living areas with a wood burning stove and separate family room for tv and games. The house comfortably sleeps 13 in beds, with options for more if needed. There is a ground floor bedroom and full bathroom for any guest who prefers no stairs, with the rest of the bedrooms and bathrooms on the second floor. The bathrooms are supplied with soaps, hair products, body lotion and hair dryers so you'll have room in your bags for all the one of a kind local treasures you want to bring home.

Our home was built in 1816 and has all the charm of an old house with all the comforts you expect from a high end vacation home. All new bedding and Caspar mattresses in every bedroom ensure a good night sleep. High speed internet will keep you connected and be sure to check the local website for updates on local happenings you won't want to miss.

Family gathering in the beautiful Finger Lakes

A charming and comfortable property located right in the middle of lake Seneca. The house is only 10 minutes from Watkins Glenn but feels like you’re completely surrounded by nature. If you are a wine lover then you won’t be disappointed with the location of the property. There are more vineyards, breweries and distilleries than one can visit in one week. For the kids there is a beach, park and play ground just a 5 minutes drive away. Our family of 12 was well accommodated and there was room for all. We especially enjoyed having dinner outdoors by the barn then followed by a fire pit under the stars. We will definitely be back!!!

Perfect stay for a large group

We had a great time staying here for a friends weekend and fantasy football draft. The house was great for a large group and we loved all the outdoor space and proximity to wineries and breweries! Very kid friendly too!

Wonderful Family Reunion

The house was perfect for our family reunion - group of 12. Charming, clean, updated historic home with everything we could have possibly needed. Wonderful outdoor spaces for relaxing, grilling, eating, and roasting marshmallows around the campfire. Communication with Nicole was excellent. Great location 10 minutes from activities and shops in Watkins Glen.

Family Gathering

My two siblings, their spouses and 4 children, our parents, and my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed this beautifully decorated and spacious home. Breakfasts at the big kitchen table, cookouts on the back patio, lawn games in the back yard, and kids' after-dinner theatrical performances with the front porch as a candlelit stage made for a rare and memorable whole-family gathering. The beds were amazing, everyone was very comfortable and able to get their own space when desired. And I loved the artistic touches. To bicycle, we put the bikes on the car and found some desolate country farm roads not far away. To swim in the lake, we headed to a few different parks. The NY State Parks free parking card was greatly appreciated, and we saw every waterfall in the area! We had a fun daytrip to Ithaca (for lunch at Moosewood and used book and record shopping), especially enjoyed the gorgeous Forge and Damiani wineries, the Hideaway, as well as Two Goats for beer. The views from all of these spots are absolutely breathtaking. Thank you Nicole & Jonathan!

Charming Home!

My family and I had a wonderful time at this home. Great location to Watkins Glen and the wineries. The home was well maintained and had tons of space outdoors to enjoy! Would definitely stay here again!

Gathering Hill the Perfect Place to Gather

The pictures don’t disappoint. This is a large beautiful antique home. Just bring your suitcase. All the amenities are here and then some. We stayed the whole month of August. The upstairs bedrooms are air conditioned. When the weather turned unseasonably hot, it took one text message and the owner was there with 2 air conditioners for the first floor. The whole house was instantly cool. We enjoyed this home inside and out, celebrated 2 birthdays, enjoyed s’mores around the fire pit, used the grill, played games in the grass. The area offers so much for all ages and we took advantage of it all. Nicole and Jonathan are the perfect hosts.

Big Chill vibe

It was a racing trip, driver and his family, me...the sponsor and one of my associates. House is historic and lovely. Everything was just right for our group. We hung in the kitchen and breakfast area with ALEXA playing the music from the Big Chill.

Perfect house for relaxing by the lake

Beautiful and cozy farmhouse, just as pictured. Walking distance to a few wineries and breweries which was very convenient. Gorgeous views of the lake! Plenty of seating for our party of 12 indoor and out. Mattresses were extremely comfortable, and furniture was well kept, and everything was in working order. The house has it all from a fully stocked kitchen to condiments, oils, etc. which were available for our use, plenty of extra pillows, blankets and towels, and bathrooms fully stocked with shampoo, conditioner and body wash. We loved the fire pit, outdoor dining area, front porch, small porch dining area, and the well kept lawn and gardens where we did morning yoga. Our only minor complaint was some little things and dust in some areas throughout the house and under beds when we arrived, so we ended up picking up a bit and cleaning the inside of a few kitchen drawers. Otherwise we had a perfect stay and would definitely stay again!

Amazing

This was the perfect property for our large family. Everything we needed and more was supplied. The house was spotless and the grounds well manicured. The rooms are plentiful and large. The location is perfect for exploring Senaca and Cayuga lake areas. As I said,.....perfect.

Beautiful house and property!

Private, large, beautiful farmhouse! Very clean! Slept comfortably 14 friends there to celebrate bachelorette party. We really enjoyed the yard, fire pit and porch. Owner was very responsive and helpful before and during our stay. Would definitely recommend!

Navy Going Away

As beautiful as advertised! Plenty of room for friends and family. An excellent vacation spot; especially, for those looking to get out but keep it, "COVID-friendly." Close proximity to vineyards and lake access is a bonus. Don't forget to walk around downtown Watkins Glen. Quaint little down with plenty of shops and restaurants to check out. Also, local vendors for renting kayaks, paddle boards , and motorboats!

Perfect Getaway!

We were two families spending four days together. This property was perfect for us! The house was very well maintained, 5 bedrooms were well appointed, and a well stocked kitchen. It is very close to the city of Watkins Glen - plenty of restaurants, grocery stores, parks and water activity. More than a dozen Vineyards within a short driving distance to chose from. Nicole is a perfect Manager/Owner. Very accommodating, very responsive and was very knowledgeable with local activities. I would highly recommend this property.

Great House for a Girls Weekend!

What a beautiful place!

We stayed for Memorial Day weekend to celebrate our son's college graduation. Our family couldn't stop raving about how lovely the property is. We had 12 adults and everyone had a comfortable bed, fluffy towels with antique furniture and art in every room. The large eat-in kitchen, dining room and large living room comfortably housed a graduation party. We enjoyed using the outdoor firepit and admiring the lovely spring garden complete with serenading spring peepers. The farmhouse is within walking distance to 2 wineries, another plus! as well as 10 minutes to Watkins Glen. I would highly recommend this property. Lisa, Needham, MA

Fantastic place to stay

We had 15 people come to the Farmhouse for a family reunion. The kids enjoyed exploring the yard, we all had more than enough room to spread out. We had cookouts and made s’mores and even saw baby foxes playing in the side yard. The house is beautiful inside and out. The kitchen has everything you need. The house is situated on a street that had at least 8 wineries, 2 breweries and 1 distillery. Everyone had a great time!

I fell in love with the Finger Lakes back in the 80's while at Cornell and vowed to come back someday. Gathering Hill Farm is that dream come true, happy to be able to share it with you!
