Overall, we enjoyed many aspects of our stay. The house was clean, the beds were very comfortable, and the main living area was bright, airy, and inviting. The outdoor space was also great, and the host was very friendly and accommodating. We booked this as a last-minute getaway, and the check-in process was easy. There were a few things future guests should be aware of. The downstairs bedroom had a strong musty odor. If you have allergies, asthma, or other respiratory issues, this could be a concern. We also chose this rental because the listing stated “no dogs,” so we assumed there had not been animals in the home. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case, and my brother-in-law, who has animal allergies, was only able to stay one night. Due to the combination of the musty odor and the allergy concerns, our group decided to leave a day earlier than planned.Lastly, the listing states that the driveway can accommodate four cars. In our experience, it could not. We had to take a chance and leave one of our vehicles at Cupsogue Beach because there wasn’t enough parking at the house.Overall, the home has many positives, but I think the listing should more accurately describe the parking situation and clarify the pet history so future guests can make an informed decision.
