Green Creek Retreat- Pet Friendly Family Retreat, On the Way to Yellowstone!

Welcome to Green Creek Retreat! This private mountain home is surrounded by the Absaroka Mountain Range highlighting panoramic views. Green Creek runs right through this property with access to the water. Winter & Spring Travel Notice: Cody offers plenty to enjoy year-round! Please note that Yellowstone's East Entrance and most park roads are closed to regular vehicle traffic from November 1, 2025 through May 1, 2026. During winter (December 15–mid-March, weather permitting), access is available only by guided snowcoach or snowmobile tours.

Inside the home you will find a spacious open floor plan with wood flooring throughout. Newly updated furnishings, linens and amenities in 2023 offer upgraded comfort during your stay. The kitchen is fully equipped, and the dining area has adequate seating for the whole family. The home's living area features a wood burning fireplace and direct access to the backyard. Bedroom 1 features a queen bed with breathtaking mountain views! This bedroom offers an attached bathroom with a walk-in shower. Bedroom 2 features a queen bed with windows facing the private backyard space. Bedroom 3 contains two twin beds, perfect for children! Bedrooms 2 and 3 share an updated bathroom with shower/tub combo.

Standing on the front patio, you with be in awe with the unobstructed views on the Absaroka Mountain Range with a multitude of peaks and valleys! Frequent visitors of the property include mule and white tail deer, moose, the occasional fox or coyote, and a variety of birds. In the backyard, you will find a large, beautifully landscaped green area that is fully fenced, perfect for families or pets! This outdoor space also includes seating and a charcoal grill, along with trail access to the creek.

Green Creek Retreat is located a scenic 30-minute drive to the east to the historic Cody, Wyoming. This is where you will find the Cody Night Rodeo, Buffalo Bill Center of the West, and many other local attractions. A lovely 30-minute drive to the west of Green Creek Retreat you will find the East Entrance to Yellowstone National Park! In the Summer, you will find many guest ranches provide local dining and trail riding opportunities between the property and the park. In the Winter, there is both downhill and cross-country skiing located at Sleeping Giant and Pahaska Teepee.

we really enjoyed our stay, the house was very clean and extremely quiet! The fenced backyard was a great place for our dogs, the fence even foiled our escape artist min-pin. We would highly recommend this property and look forward to booking it again

Wonderful house located 35 minutes from Yellowstone NP and 30 minutes from Cody, WY. Very nice fenced back yard for my pup. Definitely enjoyed our stay.

Plenty of room for a family of 7 plus Fido. Pet friendly flooring and fenced back yard. Beautiful views. Space in the kitchen for food. The outdoor space is phenomenal. Updated bathrooms. Comfortable beds, though a bit soft in the master. Pull through driveway. The water is good, though they also provide filtered water. Each room has space for a twin sized air matress, FYI. Plenty of extra bedding and towels. My only suggestion would be towels specifically for Fido as it rained for most of our stay. I LOVED that the laundry detergent is fragrance free so the linens weren't fragranced, which gives me headaches. Other perks were the bear spray in the closet, and minimal decor and furnishings making living and packing up easy. Thank you!

Amazing home in the mountains

We can’t say enough about our stay in this wonderful home! It really felt like home to us for the three weeks we stayed. Sitting on the front porch looking at the mountains every day was amazing. Saw a beautiful double rainbow one afternoon. We were regularly visited by deer, a fox, rabbit and lots of birds. It’s a beautiful drive to Yellowstone, only about 40 minutes away. We saw a grizzly and her 2 cubs driving there one day! The house was extremely clean which we really appreciated. Loved the back patio as well. Communicating with property management was very easy and we didn’t have any issues while staying there. We’re already planning a trip back!

House was beautiful and so were the views! Lawn could have been maintained better and fridge was inoperable during our stay. Management company was very responsive and helpful when it came to addressing the fridge. Location was perfectly located between Cody and the east entrance of Yellowstone. Overall would recommend.

Green Creek Retreat

The home was spacious and clean. We had everything we needed for our stay, except for food and personal items. The views were incredible on almost all sides. We did not need to contact the property owners as they provided all the information we needed prior to our stay. The home is about 30 minutes outside of Cody, which was perfect for us because it was close to great hikes.

Relaxing at Yellowstone

We are retired empty-nesters on an epic cross country road trip with our pups and stayed at this lovely home for a few days at YNP. We always appreciate at place where our dogs can relax and stretch their legs and this home has a fully fenced backyard which was a real treat for them.The home itself is clean and comfortable- fully sticked with thoughtful amenities. The pictures and description are completely accurate. The neighborhood is quiet and you can explore either the town of Cody or the park— neither is a long drive. The 360deg views from this home are stunning. Our hosts were very thoughtful and great communicators.

Great Place to Get Away

This property was just as described. A very relaxing place to enjoy time on the deck and a short drive from Yellowstone or Cody. I would book again if I'm in the area.

Great view

Very comfortable and clean home. Loved the fenced in yard for our dog. Good kitchen with most everything you could need. The views are striking. Would stay again if we could.

The house was clean and plenty of room for 7of us. Beds were comfortable.our favorite thing was sitting on the front porch with the amazing views. Close to Cody and Yellowstone. It was the perfect house.

Thr BEST Vrbo I Have Ever Seen

We were amazed by the beauty of the landscape and the yard. Its private, and up in the cool mountain air. The interior was politively delightful, with antique touches, and modern, quality furniture and decor. The kitchen was wonderful and had everything we needed including a blender, a crockpot, and two different coffee makers. The fully fenced yard was so helpful, and allowed our whole family (my pups!) to join our family reuion. The yard was so nice for them and the house was so clean, that we rarely let them inside. I can't describe how homey this place was, and I wish I could keep it a secret!! I really hope to return. This Vrbo was one of the best highlights of our family vacation!!!

RETREAT is the perfect description!!!

I cannot say enough good things about this property!! The views were spectacular (from the front AND the back). The house was clean, well maintained, comfortable & spacious. Our pup was in heaven having the run of the huge fenced back yard & fascinated by the deer & bunnies that visited the front yard every morning & evening. The kitchen was well stocked & we found ourselves wanting for nothing during our stay. We have been visiting Cody & Yellowstone Nat'l Park for 35+ years & our stay at Green Creek Retreat was our favorite lodging experience of all time!!! Skip the cramped, impersonal hotels/motels & experience a true Retreat. You really have to see this property to believe it. We will be back again & again. Special thanks to Abby @ Cody Lodging who always had the answers to our questions....everything from "is there a blow dryer" to "is the coffee maker the pod type". You can actually HEAR the smile in her voice & she was such a pleasure to deal with.

Excellent House & Setting

The house was clean & well-equipped, one of the best we’ve stayed in. Its an easy drive into Cody for groceries/stores/museum, and a longer drive of about an hour & 15 mins to get to Fishing Bridge in the Park. We knew it was a longer drive into the Park than you can get from other entrances, but we wanted a quieter setting & this place delivered. We loved capping our evenings out on the deck & then looking at stars after dark. The property manager was terrific— great communication before we arrived.

Beautiful views and everything we needed. Disappointed in dog hair on carpets and dust around TV. Ceiling air vents needed a vacuum. We enjoyed the quiet location and sky views. Saw a full rainbow 🌈. Thank you. 😊

Beautiful Setting

This was our second time staying at this property. Both times were for visiting Yellowstone. The property is very comfortable and has all the necessities. The WiFi is on the slow side, not surprising considering where you are. The scenery is magnificent. It’s close enough to the east entrance of Yellowstone to make it a good base of operations if you don’t want to stay in the park. Deer visited us every evening. Cody is also pretty close, so getting groceries, etc. was easy. The mattress was a little soft for us, but still comfortable.

Short family get away sand this place was wonderful. We enjoyed watching the rabbits out the window each morning and the amazing views. The house was clean and had everything you need for a comfortable stay. Beds are also comfy!
