Adorable Renovated Cottage - Just steps from the Bay!

The “Holiday House” is located in the sleepy beach town of Townbank, Cape May. It is located just 125 yards from the Beach. Escape the hustle and bustle of Cape May Village with our quiet bay beach and the most beautiful Sunsets around. Here the kids can build sandcastles, chase crabs, watch dolphins, fish, kayak or paddle board around the bay all with the safety of our gentle waves.

We are just an 8 minute drive into the Village of Cape May with its beautiful Victorian Charm. There are tons of restaurants and eateries, shops, mini-golf, carriage rides, and even more beaches (5 tags included). A short drive also brings you to the Wildwood Boardwalk for that traditional Jersey Shore fun!

The Holiday House is a recently renovated cottage with 2 bedrooms and 1 bath. Beautifully updated and decorated, it’s very comfortable. The new deck is surrounded by tall oaks and holly trees and allows for relaxing with a good book, memorable dinners, and playing board games with the kids.

Two miles from the Cape May-Lewes Ferry makes it easy to go into Rehoboth for a bike ride around Cape Henlopen State park, Tanger Outlets, and beaches.

Included in the Holiday House:
1 King bed, bunk bed with trundle (3 twins), 1 futon (toddler size), you must bring linens and towels, fully stocked kitchen, washer/dryer, Smart TV offering compatibility with your Hulu/Netflix accounts, Cable , & purchase of movies, Free Wifi, New deck with patio furniture (dining and reclining), gas grill, gas fire pit (on deck), out door shower, newly installed A/C, microwave, 2 flatscreen TV’s, kids games, puzzels, 2 Paddle boards with 2 child size Life Jackets, 5 beach chairs, beach umbrella, beach cart, beach wagon, sand toys, and a cooler.

Great location near the bay. Quiet neighborhood. We were on the move so we didn’t really get to enjoy the deck or many of the amenities that the property offered. Bay Beach is close! Most everything Cape May has to offer is only 10-15 minutes away. Easy driving. Kelly Ann had many good suggestions for places to go and dining. So much to do in Cape May!

We picked this listing because it looked like a storybook cottage just steps from the beach, and the reality matched our expectations. We had some bad luck with the weather so ended up spending much more time in the house than expected, but we were comfortable (even with 3 kids ranging from infant to pre-teen) and got to enjoy everything it offers. The house is very cute and has everything needed, from cooking utensils and basic ingredients / spices to beach toys / accessories to games and puzzles for the kids (who loved the "secret" playroom upstairs!) The master bedroom is more spacious than we thought, and the deck and fenced-in back yard are a nice place to have meals and hang out in the shade, after a day on the beach. Speaking of the beach, it takes about 2 minutes to get to it, and 5 minutes to get to Harpoon's and drive to the grocery store. The host is extremely responsive (minutes!), though we did not need much during our stay. Overall, we had a really nice time and would return.

We loved staying here! The house is adorable, the neighborhood is quiet and the neighbors are kind. We loved being able to eat on the patio. Most Cape May attractions are about a 15 minute drive away, but we loved that the bay beach was half a block away and never crowded. It was so nice to have such a well-stocked kitchen and lots of beach items to borrow. My 8-year-old especially loved the little play room. If you are a person with bad knees, getting up and down the very steep stairs to the main bedroom might be difficult, but we had no complaints. We'd happily stay here again!
We went to the beach looking for crabs after dark one day. We saw plenty!
We went parasailing!

Another Delightful Vacation

This is our second year in a row staying at this rental for our cape may vacation. We had so much fun last year, we decided to stay for a full week this year. Can’t wait to come back again next year and enjoy everything this rental has to offer (short walk to the bay beach, fire table, paddle boards, fishing, etc)!!

Holiday House

This was our 3rd summer renting this lovely little cottage. The quiet, residential area and short walk to the bay beach are perfect for us. We would rent here again in a heartbeat!

De belles vacances dans une belle petite maison

Nous n’en sommes pas à notre premier séjour à Cape May. On peut vous dire que la maison est très bien située dans un quartier calme et sécuritaire. La plage n’est qu’à quelques pas de la maison. Nous avons apprécié la qualité du matelas principal et des électroménagers. La maison est plus petite qu’elle en a l’air sur photos par contre. Nous recommandons fortement l’hébergement pour toutes les petites familles.

Perfect Getaway

This is our second time staying at the cottage! We thoroughly enjoyed our walks to see the sunset every night. We loved being close enough to the downtown area. The place is clean, comfortable, and peaceful.

One Week stay in July 2024

We found it just right for the two of us. What we loved most was the location . Just a very short walk to the beach. A very quiet street. Guests will love the sunsets , spectacular! Also the deck off of the kitchen was perfect for relaxation. Kitchen was well equipped. We loved this rental and will keep options open for a future stay !! Mike & Beverly

Second stay at Kelly's place

Our second year at this cottage. Everything a family needs to enjoy vacation at the beach. Close to Cape May and Wildwood beaches and a real 2 min walk to the bay beach. Kids liked it. We ll mostlikely rent here next year. Safe area as well. Thanks again

Perfect getaway

This is our second time staying in this cottage and we had a perfect trip. The location is steps away from a beautiful bay beach which we enjoyed throughout the trip. Excursions such as cold spring village and washington street mall are close by. We enjoyed using the grill and the outdoor fire pit. Kitchen supplies are well stocked. Nice to be able to use the beach wagon and sand toys. We all had a wonderful stay!

Pleasant stay at Cape May

This was our first time in Cape May. We did quite a bit of exploring in the area and learned about the history of the cape. The weather was gorgeous,people were friendly and the food was all good. My husband and I will most definitely be back.

Can’t wait to stay again!

Exactly what we were looking for. Loved the short walk to the bay beach, paddle boarding and play with my toddler in the fenced in yard. Owners were understanding and helpful of little issues reported along the way (garbage, storm door). Will definitely stay again!

Charming Cottage by the Bay

My two kids (15 and 11) thoroughly enjoyed our time in this adorable yellow cottage with just the right amount of space for us. Beautifully renovated with plenty of amenities. We loved being walking distance from the bay and an easy drive to the beach!

Very nice beach house

Our first time in Cape May. Very nice house for a family of 4. Toys and games for kids. Everything needed for the beach was included like chairs, carts, paddle boards and boogie board.A real 3 minutes from the beach. A/C were powerful enough so we were not hot during our stay. We will mostlikely come back here next year, Kelly-Ann was easy to communicate with and would answer very quickly when needed.

Cute place close to beach

Overall we loved this little house. Just a few hiccups when we first arrived but it all turned out well. (The master bedroom is lovely) Enjoyed our stay very much.

Fall is a beautiful time for Cape May

This is our second trip to this lovely little house and it was just as amazing as our first trip. It is quiet, peaceful, and gorgeous. The beach is an easy 3 minute walk away. We love the coziness of the house. This trip we enjoyed the deck and little gas firepit everyday of our trip. My kids love the backyard and they have an adorable fence around the yard. I would never want to stay anywhere else for a beach trip. I hope that we can visit this house every year. We all love it so much!!!!! Thank you for sharing your home with us!

In 2016 my husband and I purchased this seaside cottage. I have poured a lot of TLC into it and am so pleased with the renovations. Everything is new (kitchen, A/C, hot water heater) and we are now ready to share our cottage with you!
