By April 2026, only the last few feet will remain to be filled, and May 1, 2026 is the anticipated date for full pond—a joyful return to swimming, boating, and life on the water. We are grateful for the strength of this place and excited to welcome you back to its beauty. .Come experience the natural beauty and tranquility of Lake Lure—one of the most stunning destinations in North Carolina, no matter the season. Our lakefront home, Hickory Nut Landing, is thoughtfully remodeled inside and out to combine modern comfort, stylish design, and the perfect setting for memorable family vacations.

Step into a wall of windows on the main floor that floods the home with light and frames breathtaking mountain and lake views. The open floor plan makes gathering easy and enjoyable:
• A large living room with three plush couches for relaxing
• A dining table that seats eight guests comfortably
• A fully equipped kitchen with an oversized granite island

The kitchen is stocked for chefs and families alike: drip coffee maker with filters, toaster, blender (hello, frozen vacation drinks!), plus plenty of cabinet space for your groceries. There’s even a cozy nook perfect for board games, cards, and puzzles.

📺 Comfort & Entertainment

Upstairs, a den provides a second hangout space for TV watching or streaming with your own subscriptions. Unlimited Wi-Fi keeps everyone connected.

• King bedroom – spacious, lake-facing with morning sun views
• Queen bedroom – spacious, lake-facing with morning sun views
• Bunk room – two upper twin bunks (for kids only), one lower twin, and one double bed

Both bathrooms are recently renovated, with a walk-in shower downstairs for convenience.

Our cove offers calm, safe waters perfect for swimming and playing—ideal for families with kids. The boathouse accommodates your own boat or a rental, with bumpers and cleats ready for use.

🐾 Pet-Friendly Stays

We welcome 1–2 small or medium dogs (up to 50 lbs). We provide bowls and tennis balls for your pup, but please bring pet towels if you have a swimmer. To keep the home comfortable for everyone, pets are not allowed on furniture or beds. (Sorry—no large dogs or cats.)
