Cozy Lake Home, Relaxing Getaway, Beautiful Sunsets on Sand Lake

Beautiful, cozy, one level, 2 bedroom, one bathroom home. Fully-equipped kitchen with appliances including microwave, dishwasher and washer/dryer, sets of dishes/cutlery, cookware, linens, bath towels and pantry items. The screened in porch is a favorite summertime gathering space to enjoy eating in or just to relax. There are lots of water sports; boating, skiing, swimming, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, etc. Great fishing lake to catch Crappies, Sun Fish, Bass, Northern, and Walleye. The dock, paddle boat, and kayaks are a big hit for the kids. If you like to play golf, you can rent our pontoon or take a boat across the lake to the Moose Lake Golf Course. Play the 9 hole course, eat and have drinks at their clubhouse. There are plenty of other activities to do all year round, such as, ice fishing, snowmobiling, or 4 wheeling/biking on the Munger and Soo Line trails. Relax after a fun-filled day watching the beautiful sunsets at the campfire.
State Parks are close, 25 minutes from Black Bear Casino and Hinckley Casino. Moose Lake has shopping, dining, brewery, bowling, a small town movie theater, or take a day-trip 40 miles north to Duluth or the North Shore of Lake Superior.

Lovely lake cabin

Sand Lake Vacation

Can't say enough how much we enjoyed our stay here. The cabin was very clean and had absolutely everything that you could possibly need. The lake and the fishing were great too. Perfect location as well with everything that you need very close by. We will for sure be back!!

Beautiful Lake House

This place is well maintained and so comfortable. There was so much wildlife from a otter right off the dock to a bald eagle flying overhead. We had some luck fishing. The fires by the lake at night were amazing. The cabin has everything you will need. It is close to Duluth. Book it!

We just loved everything about this cabin! Very well appointed with everything you could need. It was great to sit in the screened in porch and watch the sunsets. The pictures do not do this cozy retreat justice. We will definitely come back. Julie and Bryce were very accommodating hosts. Thanks!

Better than pictures or description

We loved our stay here. It is better in person than the description or pictures on VRBO. The lake is really nice and clean. We spent a lot of time floating in the water, fishing, kayaking etc. The screened in porch is the perfect addition. You can sit out in the evenings without the bugs bothering you. This is also close to a lot of other things to do. We went hiking at two different State Parks (both within 30 minutes of the cabin). We also spent a day in Duluth. This is a perfect cabin.

Cozy on Sand Lake

Everything about this cabin was great for our family of 5. The VRBO ad did not specify extra charge for More than 5 people. We had 1 person not able to go, so that was not an issue for us. It would be good to have max number of persons with an extra $100 per person over 5. The only thing not very clean was porch table and bath tub. AC was not working.

Great Place

This was a beautiful place to stay. The house was clean and everything you need. We rented the pontoon and enjoyed the lake for hours. Hoping to come back and rent this same place sometime.

Great place to stay beautiful view on the lake

Clean and stocked with everything you need we rode side by sides had plenty of room to park stayed two years in a row. Would highly recommend.

Cabin memories

The cabin was very nice and had everything that you needed in it. They had a ton of videos to watch and games to play. The cabin was close to the lake and my grandsons spent alot of time fishing off the dock and catching alot of sunnies. We were there the beginning of August and the lake was still clean. We had a wonderful time!!

Fun at the Lake!

This place is right next to the water! Everything you need is there. Very comfortable place to stay! Nice deck/screen porch to hang. Great fishing, easy access to the dock. We plan to make this our place to stay on sand lake for future fishing trips! Thanks Julie and Bryce!

Great cabin!!

First time renting a cabin and experience was great very convenient location we road side by sides close to Trails very relaxing on the lake. Love the screened in porch the cabin was stocked with everything you need just bring your clothes we will be back next year.

Very peaceful

We really enjoyed our stay, lt was a very comfortable cabin. The only concern would be how close the cabin is to the road. Road noise was not an issue. I would be concerned if we had very young children staying with us.

Cozy, peaceful getaway

My family enjoyed the peaceful, quiet lake. We fished, kayaked, canoed, had an evening bonfire by the lake, and enjoyed playing games at the table in the 3 season porch. The cabin was well stocked and comfortable. It was an easy drive to Duluth and Lake Superior, Moose Lake had everything we needed.

Short Family vacation

Amazing Relaxing Oasis

This was such an Amazing Cabin. It was cozy relaxing & beautiful! We LOVED the Pontoon boat and the screened in porch. The views were breathtaking with the changing of the leaves. I would Highly recommend this wonderful home!!!

The setting was perfect. Loved how close we were to the water. Communication with the owner was so quick. Loved how close many trails were for walking and biking. Was perfect for the end of summer get away.

Perfect Lake House!

We had a great stay and are looking forward to coming back in the future. We rented the pontoon which was great for easy cruises around the lake. The lake house is modern and comfortable, with great space for both kids and adults. Our kids loved the stay as well and have already asked when we could go back!

A great stay at the lake!

Very nice cabin feel and great view of the lake. Enjoyed the fire right on the water. Furniture is very comfortable and everything you need is there. Loved being able to have our dogs with us! Owners are good with responding if any questions. Had a great, relaxing time on Sand Lake😊thanks for having us!

What a perfect lake cabin!

We rented this awesome cabin on Moose Lake with friends for a five day stay and really enjoyed it! We rented the pontoon that they had available and fished and swam off the boat by the sand bars on the lake and just didn’t have a care in the world while there. The cabin is adorable and has everything you need to cook and watch movies and play games on the front porch. They even have a washer/dryer for wet towels and such. The cabin is close enough to town for easy grocery runs but still on a quiet road so you feel truly up at the cabin. Julie and Bryce are great hosts and we would stay there again in a heartbeat:)

Relaxing, fun, and friendly!

We had a great time here. It is a wonderful place to stay. Everyone we met were friendly and glad to help with anything we needed for our stay. Bryce and Julie ensured everything went smooth. The lake and golf course were great. Having a campfire every night was fun and relaxing listening to the loons. We had a great time here!

We (Julie and Bryce Bogenholm) live not far away from Sand Lake, just east of Moose Lake. We live on a farm with our 3 kids. We have horses, a small herd of beef cattle, chickens, and many pets. We love to enjoy Sand Lake all year round for swimming, boating, relaxing, ice fishing, and snowmobiling. We hope you enjoy it too!
