Slow it down and relax. Stay on beautiful Siesta Key, home of the #1 beach in the nation! Our separate guest house is the perfect place to enjoy the tranquility of an island paradise vacation, while still located in the heart of Sarasota. The house is an historic Ralph Twitchell mid-century modern, completely remodeled with the latest amenities, 2000 sq. ft. open floor plan, walk-in showers, and gourmet kitchen. You'll enjoy water access with great fishing or sunbathing off our private dock with kayaks on quiet Robert's Bay, or mosey on down to the island beach. Private access to your own private heated swimming pool (see notes below), all of this in your backyard, on this exclusive island cul-de-sac makes the ambiance unbeatable. Every amenity you can imagine is available. We provide it all -- pack light!

This house is an historic Robert Twitchell home, newly renovated with over $100,000 of improvements. Completely modern while maintaining the Frank Lloyd Wright style. You can read more about Ralph Twitchell and his homes on Wikipedia.

Pool Notes: The private pool is heated and screened in. The pool is kept at 81℉. If you want a warmer pool we can discuss this when you arrive. The heater has a safety feature and automatically shuts off when outside temperatures fall to below 50℉. Why? Because the heater's coolant cannot function properly at lower temps.

The Master Bedroom and Entertainment Room have widescreen TVs with Apple TV4 Live TV, Hulu, Disney+, and ESPN+. There is private high speed FIOS internet throughout the home.

This is a non-smokers home. If you smoke please find other accommodations. Smokers are not permitted to rent the home. It will not be tolerated in or around the property. You will be asked to leave without refund if smoking is detected or we discover that you or a guest is a smoker. Smoking in the home is not the only issue; It's carrying the smell through luggage and clothes into the home. This rule applies to all forms of smoking including e-cigs, vaping, hookah, etc. Any use of illegal drugs will be reported to the authorities. Medicinal Marijuana is not an exclusion to these smoking rules.

No wedding parties or wedding guest may rent the home.

When you and/or your party rent this property you contractually agree to hold harmless the owners in the event of any loss, including but not limited to events that occur while using the kayaks, bikes, tennis court, basketball court, etc.

What a treat!

Brett and Cyndi are excellent hosts who have put thought and care in to everything. The property is not only beautifully decorated but also very practical with everything you need. We enjoyed our stay thoroughly.

Great property and host

We really enjoyed our stay! The property was clean and Brett was a great host. We saw dolphins while kayaking in the bay behind the house and even renewed our wedding vows for our 10th anniversary. Definitely recommend and would stay there again!

Excellent vacation retreat!

Great property with a very attentive and experienced host. House is in a great location for enjoying both the Siesta Key beaches and the city of Sarasota. Host has thought pretty much everything one could need to get the most out of your stay. House has a ton of character while also being well equipped with lots of modern amenities.

Excellent location at the entrance to Siesta Key.

Brett is a great host. We saw dolphins twice from his dock on Robert’s Bay while enjoying the sunset. Location can’t be beat. Relaxing and easy access to Siesta Key Beach, St Armand’s Circle and Sarasota restaurants.

Beautiful location.

Brett was very accommodating as he lives behind the rental. Loved the canoes that came with the property, also the tennis court and pool. Beautiful neighborhood and close to the beach and many restaurants. The house has everything you need.

Perfect stay

Coming from Germany this has been an amazing vacation. Brett was always available to answer all our questions and made our trip very memorable. The house is fantastic and the kayaks, the tennis, the great pool and the bicycles all contributed to us not wanting to leave. We will definitely be back. Thank you Brett and family.

Sensational Spring getaway

pictures do not do house justice on just how spacious, clean and comfortable it really is. By far the best "stocked" VRBO we've ever stayed in ( and we travel a lot)...didn't really need to bring anything other than our personal items and clothes. Check-in with Brett was effortless and informative. He provided great suggestions for dining and activities and was always available to assist with bikes, kayaks, etc....really takes pride in this property and seems to sincerely want residence to enjoy a wonderful stay....will most definitely return.

Enjoyable home

We enjoyed the home very much. Brent was great! Can’t say enough good about him as a host! My daughter slammed her fingers in the sliding door- and he was right there with a first aide kit and where we could take her and check in on her too! The family enjoyed the heated pool. We had a number of amazing dinners that we grilled out. Morton’s market is a wonderful place to buy great food! An enjoyable experience and loved the location! Nice and quiet. The guys got out kayaking and really enjoyed that too. You can’t go wrong here.

Truly paradise

My husband and I were very happy staying at this property. Our hosts, Brett & Cyndi were wonderful. Brett was always available to help us with any questions that we had (primarily with the streaming tv service). The house was well stocked and everything was in good working order. The location and neighborhood were perfect! Loved this location—very easy to be in downtown Sarasota in 10 minutes. The only drawback for us was that the only tv in the house was located in the bedroom but Brett graciously offered to move it into the living room for us which was perfect. The pool, tennis court and dock were all plusses. I would highly recommend this property!

Return Visit

Slip down to the dock in the early morning so the kids can see the schools of fish that pass through. Return at sunset for the chance to see a dolphin sweep past looking for dinner. Grab a kayak and explore the Bay and the neighbourhood from waterside. Anytime is pool time for our young family. There are numerous rings, balls, hoops and diving toys and the pool is warm and shaded. The tennis court is steps away. If you are a tennis family, you will love the shaded and sheltered facility. At night it is a cathedral. You will not find kinder, more thoughtful hosts. The house is well stocked and the Brett is always available should you need anything. We had a wonderful stay.

Perfect Vacation Home

This super nice home was perfect, since it was so convenient to the beach, shopping, and restaurants. Hosts were wonderful and thought of every detail, providing everything you could ever need, and giving us lots of helpful information about things to do in the area. Having our own private pool was fun and we wished we could have stayed longer.

Quiet Bay Isle Location Central to the Best of Sarasota

Everything one looks for in a Vbro experience. A unique Frank Lloyd Wright esq home. Experienced hosts that are attentive and have truly thought of everything. A decent swimming pool that the kids loved. What must be one of the best tennis courts in all of Florida. Great kayaking - we spotted dolphins, manatees and interesting birds. Good fishing right from the dock at sunset . The house is on a quiet street and is a very central location for those who wish to explore Sarasota's best beaches, great restaurants and the Circle. Slice of Heaven!

We Loved our stay at this property… it has everything you could want! From the informative checkin process to the fluffy white towels; to the clean, crisp sheets; to the completely stocked gourmet kitchen; to the plentiful hot showers with all the necessities; to the welcoming heated pool; and the beyond compare covered tennis court, our stay was amazing and we will most definitely be booking again! We are happy to help our guest at any level whether that involves assuring total privacy, setting up tennis lessons or pointing out the great sites and activities of our wonderful city.

Our guest house is a 2100 sq. ft. mid-century modern home built in 1966 and is old Florida to a tee. No expense was spared when we updated this home. You will have quick access to both Sarasota city life as well as island access to the Siesta Key village and beach. Our neighborhood is quiet and set apart from the loud strip that hugs the beach 3 miles down the road.
