CASA BRUMAR apartment takes glamour to the next level. A dash of bling details each room, with flax, velvet and antique pieces adding an air of elegance to the modern abode. Set in a 14th-century Palace, the residence offers a taste of life in an era of grand entertaining—along with plenty of modern comforts. It’s across from Piazza San Michele and next to the Piazza San Giusto, a 2 to 5 minutes walk away the city’s best-known sights such as the Puccini Concerts at the Church of San Giovanni, Via Fillungo, Guinigi Tower and the Amphitheatre. Centrally located, a 10-minute stroll will get you to either train station and bus terminal which makes it easy to travel around Tuscany: Florence, Pisa, Cinque Terre, Viareggio, Pistoia, Montecatini Terme, Livorno and many others are within 1 hour ride.

The pointed top of St Giovanni Bell Tower rises above the rooftops in the views from this vibrant apartment. A private terrace overlooking the churches and renaissance palaces around is the perfect spot for an afternoon spritz and snack while watching the city pass by.

Fabulous place- great location and bright and comfy.

Love the terrace and decorated beautifully. Time for a new bed in the main bedroom! It’s a bit worn, and would leave more toilet paper. Two rolls for an 8 day stay seemed minimal.

The apartment was in an amazing central location. Nice inside with a great terrace. Very good customer service from Manuel and although we didn’t need much from him, he got in touch several times to check everything was ok. Small welcome pack with some basics would be a good addition to your service

Beautiful Lucca

Easy check in with very responsive hosts. Although we had all we needed they were great to check in periodically on our stay. Lucca is a beautiful city and we can’t wait to come back. Very thorough guest info book as well!

Great stay in beautiful Lucca

I spent six weeks in Casa Brumar, the purpose being to learn Italian in a local school and enjoy "la dolce vita" in the city. The apartment is ideally situated right in the center but at the same time very quiet with lovely views from the french windows and terrace. Several local friendly local shops around, with nice and fresh products. The "conciergerie" is very helpful. And I certainly hope to come back and be able to stay in the same place again.

Wohlfühlen im Herzen von Lucca

Die Wohnung befindet sich in der Mitte von Lucca. Ein guter Ausgangspunkt um diese schöne Stadt zu erkunden. Aber Achtung – man kann nicht mit dem Auto zur Unterkunft fahren – dafür gibt es aber außerhalb der Mauer kostenlose Parkplätze. Diese sind ca. 15 Minuten zu Fuß entfernt. Die Wohnung ist schön eingerichtet und bietet Platz für 4 Personen. Das Sofa ist allerdings für 4 Personen zu klein. Die Terrasse ist groß und sonnig, weicht allerdings von den Fotos ab, da die ganze hübsche Deko nicht vorhanden war und der kleinere Tisch beschädigt war. Im Sommer kann man auf der Terrasse wunderbar frühstücken und abends auf ein Glas Wein sitzen. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und würden die Wohnung wieder buchen.

Fabulous apartment with an amazing location

The apartment is really nicely decorated and very comfortable. Has everything you need in terms of amenities. There is no parking nearby though so be aware of that when booking. We came by train and it was an easy walk from the station. You can also order a taxi if needed. Even though the apartment was very centrally located, it was still very quiet. Would highly recommend this place! Touching base with the clients during the stay to ensure all is well and that they don’t have any questions would be nice.

We had everything we needed

Manuel did a FANTASTIC job in providing us with an orientation to the apartment and the area. In all our our Airbnb experiences, this was the first time that a host gave such details (to foreigners) on how the washer and dryer operated, for example. It makes one’s stay go so smoothly. The location of the apartment is perfect. Lucca is very walkable so it didn’t take long at all to get to attractions and restaurants. We had everything we needed at the apartment and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We would recommend this apartment without hesitation.

Frustrating

Property and location were fine. Dealing with property management was maddening. Mgt knew we were arriving on a Sunday. But the contact we were given to let us into the property we find out doesn’t work on Sunday. We waited almost two hours outside the building before we could find someone to let us in. One morning during our stay we found a note on the door saying don’t use shower or w/c “from 9:30am” due to plumbing problem. We were given names and numbers of two contacts in case we needed assistance. To find out when we could use the facilities, called Elizabeth four times - no answer. Called Manuel five times - party not available, and texted once. No response. After seven hours used the w/c anyway. Don’t know if the basement flooded and at this point didn’t care. Would never rent from these people again.

Delightful Apartment in Central Lucca

This apartment really felt like home away from home. It was beautifully appointed with a stunning deck in a very central location. An easy walk from the train station and all sights in Lucca. Manuel took exceptional care of us meeting us early and staying in constant contact during our stay. We made ample use of the cooking and washing facilities without a problem and highly recommend this property. Lucca is a stunning town and this property backs that up.
