Dear Jill, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I am genuinely sorry that your stay did not meet your expectations and that you experienced difficulties during your arrival. At the same time, I would like to provide some additional context regarding the points you raised. - Unfortunately, I was unable to welcome you personally because you initially informed us that you would arrive at around 12 noon. As check-in at Casa di Daisy is normally from 4:00 pm, I rearranged a work commitment in order to accommodate your earlier arrival. When you later advised us that your arrival time had changed to 4:00 pm, I was no longer able to reschedule my meeting. For this reason, I left the keys in the lockbox and sent detailed instructions, including the lockbox code, the apartment entry code, and photographs of both the lockbox and the front door. Your reply on the VRBO app was: "I just now received your messages all at once. Thank you for the information. I think we will be fine to enter." - As soon as my meeting ended, I have been contacted by the plumber who was working nearby. By entering the code that had already been provided, he was able to help you gain access to the apartment. - Regarding the air conditioning and washing machine, I apologise for any inconvenience. The instructions are included in the welcome book on the table, and the remote controls are located in the bedrooms on the bedside table near the AC unit. Fortunately, the air conditioning can be started simply by pressing the "ON" button, although I appreciate that finding unfamiliar controls can sometimes be frustrating when arriving in a new place. - I am also sorry that you did not find the apartment as user-friendly as you had hoped. In the kitchen, we provide three large rubbish bins together with replacement bags, as Lucca operates a separate waste collection system. Admittedly, this may require a little more effort than simply throwing everything into one bin, but it is something we are encouraged to do locally. PS.All the burners are seems to work properly? - I would also like to mention that my wife spent time with you the following morning, taking you out for tea and personally apologising for the issues you encountered, while explaining the various features of the apartment. - In addition, following your comments, we supplied a new set of teaspoons (the ones available were coffee spoons, which I completely understand may not have met your expectations), an additional electrical adapter, and a toaster. We are always grateful for guest feedback and suggestions. Hosting is a continuous learning process, and thanks to your observations we have once again discovered that even after welcoming many guests over the years, there is always something new to learn.
