Gorgeous Bay view upper level apartment!

The 'Retro Retreat' is a 2 level home with 2 separate units with 2 separate entrances and this is the UPSTAIRS unit. The apartment is 500 square feet and has 1 bedroom, 1 full bathroom, and a full kitchen. There is a queen size bed in the bedroom and full size pull out sofa bed out in the living room. There is Wi-Fi and a landline, so you can stay connected while on vacation. There is plenty of room to park your truck and boat and also a convenient outdoor fish cleaning station. The fire pit in the yard is a great gathering spot and has a great view of the Bay! To view picture of the downstairs unit, visit or look up property number 675278.
(There is no washer and dryer in this apartment)


** Note: Up to 2 dogs are welcome to come! There is a $30 pet fee for the additional cleaning required after your departure.
** Note: Your nightly rate includes damage insurance should anything accidentally break or get ruined during your stay.
** Note: I send out a rental acknowledgment to sign electronically after a booking is made. It is very straightforward and simple, but if you would like a copy of the contract beforehand, just let me know! :-)

Funky little stay on the Bay

While the apartment is small and dated it is comfortable and and conveniently located to Tillamook and other sites along the coast.

Cozy with an amazing view!

Perfect location, just a short walk to the beach! We really enjoyed looking out the bay windows and enjoying the sea view from the cozy living room on windy days.

Cozy and quaint!

Nice little get away for a blustery weekend. Sweet little cabin with just what you need. Well stocked kitchen that includes spices and other items. Totally enjoyed ourselves.

Over the bay.

The Retro Retreat is a nice get-away place with a great view of the bay and the ocean beyond. It was clean, quiet, everything worked and the huge front picture windows are the best. It is within close walking distance of The Schooner restaurant and the beach and a short drive to Oceanside.

Great view and a great stay

This apartment was perfect for the two of us. It was really important for the both of us to be able to work while we were there, so strong reliable internet was a bonus. Everything was supplied for guests, and very thoughtfully. I think the only thing we missed was having a washer and dryer and that was easily worked around. The space is lovely, the bed is excellent and the view can't be beat. We will stay again!

Cozy Getaway

I went for my 30th birthday and it was a blast! It turns out apparently it was the destination to be this month for 30th birthdays, because everyone was having their 30th birthday there! I really enjoyed the space, it’s very cute and quaint. The view is amazing, and the little beach next to it is adorable. Super easy to walk to. They had a bunch of kitchen utensils for us to use, so we didn’t have to spend too much money while we were there. Bed super comfortable, bathroom, accessible, and I loved how somehow it was small yet spacious. Could barely hear the downstairs neighbors when we were there. We did hear their TV a little bit, but honestly, they are pretty quiet. Will definitely stay here again!

50 year class reunion

It was perfect. Just the right size. Watched the ocean as much as I wanted. It was very quiet. I will definitely stay there again. The next time I come to town. The hostess was marvelous and taught me how to use the lock box. It was not the box. It was stupid. It was me for being extremely tired from driving.

Perfect Haven for Slower-Paced Vacation

This property overlooking the bay is pristine, and although it has obviously been in existence for decades, it is extremely well-preserved, well-stocked, and comfortable. Want to sit and watch the seals and birds in a comfy rocker while drinking your coffee? This is your place. Older/mature teens might appreciate the area, but younger kids or young adults who need a party town or fast food restaurant on every corner, should look to Cape Kiwanda or Tillamook. While both of those are 20 minutes away, NeTarts is slower-paced. This is a great place for walks along the shoreline, an evening meal at Schooners, and relaxing. Frankly, the house is furnished in such a way (personal touches, quality cookware, specific decor---handwritten note by door, old picture in living area), that you feel as if you are visiting Grandma's cottage by the shore. If you are looking to decompress, appreciate all the comforts of home in a beautiful setting, and return to an oasis of rest after daily explorations, this is for you. I appreciate the extra efforts of the realty company and housekeeping to preserve this time capsule property. Thanks, SabrinaT

Pleasant and relaxing stay

As described - retro, some things could be updated but it was fine :) Hosts/mgrs were excellent. Communication from booking to checking out excellent. Very pretty area and view- after a rain the windows need to be cleaned for a clearer view for sure -but that can’t be helped, can’t control the weather. Can hear the downstairs occupants clearly (especially if they have a dog(s) and if they are noisy or don’t care if they have someone above them it can get old real fast. Also if they park without taking into account who else is there, that can get irritating. Everything we needed was available and if not- it was a short drive to a market. Bunch of games and magazines/books in case of a rainy day. Fun things to do in a reasonable distance. We lucked out and caught the parade in Tillamook. Big tv in bedroom which was nice -but I would’ve settled for a smaller one out in the sitting area. WiFi was great- no problems connecting all week. Nice to have a landline just in case and also a fire extinguisher handy is also a nice thing. Lock box for key worked perfect. Loved the sun coming in through the bay window and when it got a little hot we just opened the window and a wonderful breeze came through.

It had been stormy when we first arrived but it cleared up just before we had to rush our luggage up stairs. It had all the modern conveinces. We stayed in for most of the time we were there. Did some reading. Played scrabble. And made most of our meals in room. We have recommeded this place to my son and his wife they will be celibrating there anniversary at the end of this month.

Beautiful view

It’s was a great stay loved how we could walk to beach and boat launch and to the stores love the big fire pit we made s’mores the last night would come. Ack to stay again morning with coffee in the rocker looking at the water 🥰

Clean, quiet place with a unique decor

Nice place, maintained well and very clean. Obviously a unique decor. Would certainly benefit from a better bed, but otherwise an excellent place to just stay and relax.
