Cozy space with everything we needed for our short stay. Great location with a quick, easy walk to the beach. The hot water outdoor spigot made post-beach clean up much more pleasant for humans and pups!

A great stay for a couple! Lovely space and features. We had sunny weather but got to use the wood stove on a rainy day and it is was very cozy. Kitchen had everything we needed for all the cooking we did (a lot) and everything was very easy, overall. We had a very relaxing stay. We love Cape Meares and will be back!

One of the most well appointed homes we've rented! It was easy to get into Tillamook to pick up any supplies. Perfect for a couple and our dog. Loved hearing the ocean. Relaxing, peaceful, and enjoyed the beaches and hikes. Next time we'll take the kayaks on the lake. Looked like a great place but we forgot the dog's life jacket. We truly enjoyed our stay and we'll be back!

Great location and property. Muliple beach views, 5 min. walk to the beach. Quick drive to Tillamook, trails etc. We will definitely be back!

This is probably one of the nicest places we have stayed on the beach. Everything was so very well thought out. Loved all the dimmable beautiful lamps and auto blinds. Kitchen is well stocked. Great deck to watch the sunsets. Easy access to the amazing beach. Bed very comfy. Outdoors, the hot/cold hose helped us keep Miss Mollys paws clean. Loved it!

Cute place!

Easy walk to beach and lots of lovely touches in the home. The bed is comfy and the kitchen well-stocked. We hope to come back!

Great place and location. Every amenity that you need. Check in was rocky, no access code was sent, we spent the night in a hotel. Owner tried to make it right on a holiday weekend.

From the moment we arrived, we were completely captivated. The location is unbeatable, steps from the beach and a stone’s throw from lovely Tillamook Bay.The cottage is a charming gem, filled with personality…with every amenity considered. There’s a wonderful sense of warmth and character that makes you feel instantly at home while the host’s artistic sensibility was on display in each room.One of the highlights was the breezy porch, perfect for reading, sipping coffee or soaking in the sunsets. We can’t wait to return. It’s the kind of place that lingers in your memory long after you leave.

Perfect Coast Getaway

I wanted a quiet coastal getaway close to nature and this was the perfect fit! Skip was very responsive and made sure we had everything we needed. The home has a spacious living room and porch. It is beautifully furnished and the kitchen is well stocked and even has sharp knives! The sofa bed is very comfy. The beach is a short walk away and there were so few people there it almost felt like a private beach. It was great to watch the birds and explore the tidepools. Next time I look forward to taking the kayaks to the lake and visiting the lily pads. The home is warm, welcoming, clean, and has everything you need. The little town and neighbors are quaint and friendly. I'd highly recommend this gem!

A True Home Away from Home by the Ocean

I needed a brief getaway to recharge, and Skip’s place was everything I needed and more. I was working remotely during my stay, and the WiFi was consistently fast and reliable — a huge plus for anyone needing to take video calls or get work done while away.Both nights, I slept incredibly well. The King-sized pullout sofa surprised me — it’s genuinely the most comfortable pull-out I’ve ever slept on, easily as good as (or better than) a regular bed. Skip and Zoe clearly spared no expense in ensuring guests are as comfortable as possible.The kitchen was another highlight. I cooked all weekend, and it had everything I needed — well-stocked, clean, and thoughtfully arranged. The location is ideal too: just a short 3-minute walk to a beautiful beach and amazing forest hiking trails. You can even see the ocean and hear the waves right from the property, which was incredibly peaceful. Plus, the kayaks were a fantastic bonus that made the trip even more memorable.I’m already looking forward to my next stay here. I can't recommend this place enough — Skip and Zoe have created a truly special retreat!

The Cape Meares house was everything I was hoping it would be. A very short walk to the beach, comfortable yet stylish furnishings, spotlessly clean. The main level of the house is up an easy flight of stairs so the large windows provide you with views of the beach and ocean. And open the sliding door and windows and you have the breeze of the salt air coming in. Cape Meares is very quiet; only the sound of the ocean at night. About a 20 minute drive to the supermarket and restaurants. Plenty of cookware in the kitchen and plenty of hot water for a shower. It was a wonderful stay. And the Oregon Coast - so beautiful!

Skip and Zoe were wonderful hosts, and their little getaway at Heron's Hearth in Cape Meares was exactly what we were looking for! Cozy, clean, and comfortable, we spent a lot of time reading inside, enjoying the ocean breeze from the many windows, and walks on the beach with our dogs. We love this community, and we loved our stay at Heron's Hearth. We will definitely be back!
