Our experience was disappointing. The biggest issue was the lack of ventilation. We understand the listing states there is no air conditioning, which is reasonable in a mountain area. However, during our August stay, even with the apartment’s only regular window open all night, the living room temperature remained around 26C. The bedroom has no regular window, only a roof window that cannot be left open during rain, making it even warmer (see pictures). Our children could not sleep comfortably, and we ultimately had to book alternative accommodation for the final night.Communication with the host was also stressful. We received frequent messages before and during our stay asking us to repeatedly confirm arrival and departure times, watch videos for simple items such as the sofa bed, and reminders about trash segregation. During our stay, the host was also critical of us for sending messages at night, even though we spent most of the day sightseeing and evenings were often the only practical time to communicate. We followed the house rules, took good care of the apartment, and genuinely tried to make the stay work. After discussing the issue with the host, we requested a refund only for the unused final night after leaving early, but it was refused. The host later claimed the bedroom temperature was 23.5C, but when I asked how that temperature was determined, no explanation was provided.Families who are sensitive to heat should reconsider before booking
