The house was clean and in a good location. Nice to be able to drive down the hill to all that Lake Tahoe has to offer and wonderful to walk right out the back to a beautiful hike. Amenities in the house were lacking and the owner's items were in plain sight. Random assortment of kitchen and pantry items. Bedrooms downstairs were small and shared one VERY small bathroom.

We had a great time! The washing machine didn't work and the patio was a lot smaller than it appeared to be in the pictures, but other than that, we had an amazing time. Close to the lake, beautiful backyard with hiking trails, cozy and inviting home

Beautiful Family Home and Excellent Location

Wonderful location close to Tahoe City, but still very quiet with a trail in the woods right out the back door - great for a walk to see the stars at night! The house was exceptionally clean and plenty of space for our stay. Beautiful back deck for birdwatching with coffee in the morning, and luxury finishes for a premium Tahoe experience.

Great Neighborhood Overlooking Lake Tahoe!

Very nice house in a great neighborhood. Loved the easy 5-10 minute drive into Tahoe City. Awesome access to running and mtn bike trails, literally a few houses down the block. Property management company was very responsive and helpful in organized communications and area suggestions. Highly recommended!

Beautiful Home :)

Gorgeous, newly renovated (or built) cabin! Very well-stocked kitchen, spacious, with lovely views all around. A big bonus for us is the cabin backs up to the National Forest so no neighbors behind you.. only on the right and left. Nice quiet neighborhood right up from a main little area on the lake good for grabbing breakfast, etc. We only wish it had a hot tub, but would def come back!

We liked: 1) Dog-friendly. We traveled with two small dogs. Be aware: there were at least four free-range dogs in the neighborhood. All friendly, non-threatening, but if you have reactive dogs, you know the reaction. 2) This was the best equipped kitchen we've experienced in a rental. Everything worked, not a bunch of cast-offs. We prepared most of our meals, so this was appreciated. (Minor exception: time to replace the damaged coffee bean grinder). 3) house backs up to undeveloped public lands, including a trail network - access the TRT and more from the neighborhood. 4) The house was clean. We accept that rentals that welcome dogs are likely to exhibit some wear and tear; aside from that, all was very clean when we arrived. 5) HOA membership to beach! (part of the reason we chose this place).Didn't like: 1) During our 8-night stay in mid-July we were lucky the high temp never exceeded about 81. If so, this house could get very hot. The manager provided a common-sense list of how to keep a house with no AC cool in the summer, but this house does not have window coverings in the main living area, a crucial component of those strategies. While trees provide partial shade (emphasis on partial), the sun warms the main living area and there are no ceiling fans throughout the house. The downstairs bedrooms have one window each, so natural cooling is limited; they are better shaded though. Every room has a portable fan. Highly recommend this house - except in the heat.

Mt Getaway

House is way bigger than the pics depicted. Cozy but enough room for everyone to spread out. Homey but nicely updated. Very mindful upgrades. Quite neighborhood with my trails in the back yard. Well appointed with everything you need. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Great place, great location!

Loved our stay at Timber Grove. Great location and loved the HOA access to the beach. There were a minor things we found off but overall a great experience. Toaster didn't work, tea kettle was broken, screen door was broken. The home had an overpowering smell when we got there, cleaning products, maybe not a big deal for everyone but it was pretty overpowering at first.

Wonderful Place on the edge of the Tahoe wilderness!

The only reason I didn’t give this place 5-stars across the board is because the TV wasn’t working for the first 48 hours of our 3-day stay. We spent more time troubleshooting it than we did actually watching it. All in all thought the place was just as described, very clean and an all-around great place to reside for a few relaxing days.

Our family spent a wonderful 8 days at this property. The house was very clean. Comfortable living and sleeping areas. Neighborhood is quiet. Having a trailhead 50 yards from the house is nice, Paige Meadows was beautiful this year. We found dealing with Tahoe Getaways was easy, very responsive. Considering house for next year as well.

Enjoyed our Stay

Home was good but had ant problems despite getting some raid and other ant bait from Tahoe Getaways. Also, had trouble with a broken toaster which was replaced quickly (thanks!). Also, had issues with expired beach pass which had been mailed to the property owner well in advance of its expiration date. Not quite sure why we had to wait until the last minute to find that out and have to scramble to get a new pass to us. Tahoe getaways was very responsive to our general requests. Thanks for that!

We had a great stay at this two-story Tahoe cabin! The house was very nice, clean, and comfortable, making it a great fit for two families. The finishes were lovely, and the kitchen was well-equipped with everything we needed to prepare meals. The only drawback was the downstairs heating system. The thermostat is located in the hallway, which doesn't have vents, so it doesn't register the temperature change when the bedroom doors are closed. As a result, the bedrooms can get quite warm while the hallway stays cooler. Overall, it was a wonderful stay, and we'd recommend it for anyone looking for a cozy and well-maintained home in Tahoe!

Beautiful Home

A beautiful home supplied with everything we needed (including a mixer to make home made cookies!). Very friendly neighbors. I would definitely stay here again. The home backs up to forest so there's nobody behind you. 20 minute drive to Palisades even in bad road conditions. Grocery store about 2 miles away. The main road to get into the subdivision of homes is Big Pine / Tahoe Park Heights. I saw a few 2WD cars get stuck in the snow trying to make it up that road. For what it's worth, I have a Chevy Tahoe 4WD and was able to make it up and down w/o chains or snow tires and there was snow on the road.

The property was nothing like the pictures. The outdoor decks were filthy. The outdoor seating area was so filthy you had to put towels down to sit. The windows ere broken so only some opened. The internet is terrible. The carpets were filthy. We were told that the cleaning of the decks, patio furniture and carpets was “annual maintenance “. No cleaning supplies at the house. We had to request more paper towels and windex. No laundry detergent. The toilet paper was one ply. The property has great potential but is definitely not being maintained properly. Kitchen was nice enough.

very nice location

Nice layout and was very happy with how well equipped the kitchen was being that we were celebrating Thanksgiving there. The communication with the property company was lacking. I believe it may have been through a robot response for I asked for specifics re what kitchen supplies were provided and the reply was limited. I brought absolutely everything and didn't need to. Also, was very put off by the emails re early arrival fee of $75. should I want to check in before 4:00 or for another $100. I could check out later than 10:00. I believe when you are spending that kind of money you shouldn't be asking for more give or take an hour. When you go through an owner they are much more flexible than going through a company.
