This adorable home is located in the Glenshire neighborhood of Truckee. If you are looking for a quiet getaway or a weekend adventure, this location will not disappoint. Home is within walking distance to the Legacy Bike/Hiking Trail, 4 miles from downtown Truckee & a short drive to Donner Lake, Boca/Stampede Reservoirs. Lake Tahoe & Reno are only a 25 minute car ride away. Several of Tahoe's world class ski resorts are also close by. This home is a detached single story & over 900 sf, & has 2 bedrooms & 1 bathroom. Kitchen is fully stocked, cable & wifi provided.

Excellent time in Truckee

We very much enjoyed our stay at the "quiet mountain home" in Truckee. It was a cozy, quiet spot, excellent for bringing along our dog. The completely fenced yard was a great place to play with him when we were not out hiking and sight-seeing. We would stay here again!

Great Rental!

We really enjoyed our stay at Kevin’s house! Plenty of space for two adults and one toddler. We’ll equipped kitchen and beautiful location. Would definitely rent here again.

Anniversary get away

Enjoyed our stay. House is quaint, and comfortable. Nice fenced yard for the dogs. Front and back porch comfortable for relaxing but could have been swept and cleaned a bit.

Perfect, clean cabin

i know others have said it before, but the fact that we didn't have to walk on an 1 in thick of carpet from '72 was amazing. This place was super clean and neat, perfect for a small family in a super safe neighborhood. Upgraded appliances, a huge movie selection and warm sheets. We will be back for sure.

Didn't Live Up to the Hype

We booked this place based on the charming pictures, positive reviews, and claims that the cabin was "immaculate." Unfortunately, that was not the case for us. When we first arrived, we were met with a pool of water on the kitchen floor that was coming from the refrigerator, which was stocked with smelly, out of date food items. Yuck! Took pictures and sent them to the owner who informed us that had happened once before, but never while he was there. Okay. The next day my husband was grabbing a mug from the kitchen cabinet and was showered with gloppy old, red wine. Gross! Some clown had put red wine in a mug and just left it in the cabinet. One nice pair of pants ruined and a disgusting mess to clean up! We informed the owner and the response was "Guess I'll have to paint sooner than expected." Really? The kitchen itself is in dire need of updating. The linoleum was literally peeling back from the floor. The guest bedroom in the picture shows two regular-sized queen beds. In reality, one of the beds is only about a foot off the ground, just a mattress with no box-spring. Weird. Our entire family got really sick while staying there, most likely due to the fact that the place was not properly cleaned. One positive aspect is the location and large backyard for kids and pets. Other than that, I don't understand all of the positive reviews. This place needs a lot of work.

Great Stay!

We had a great stay at this property! Nice cozy home in a lovely area. The backyard is super nice and our family and dogs loved romping around in the freshly fallen snow. The beds are super comfy. Great location in quiet neighborhood, close to Truckee and Northstar. Looking forward to staying here again!

Incredible place, incredible location

This was the best week I have had in a long time. This wonderful town is in the best spot in the Sierras AND is dog friendly! The hosts are extra super nice and communicative. The house is beautiful and immaculate inside and has the most relaxing backyard space. We had a wonderful week here.

Stay at Truckee Mtn Home

Very nice stay at this Truckee Mountain home. Clean property and great for small family. Fenced back yard which was convenient for small grand children who were with us. Our daughter lives on the same street so it was a particularly convenient location.

Lovely stay

Enjoyed our stay at the cabin. Lounge was very comfortable as was the bed. Great location and Ruby (the dog) enjoyed the garden.

Cozy, comfy, beautiful location!

Had a great time. Very cozy and clean. Only tip - the backyard is fenced on only three sides. From the online pics I mistakenly thought it was fully fenced. But we just kept our dog on a leash and all was good! Owner was great!

This is the perfect mountain getaway cabin!

We absolutely loved our time at this cabin! We were looking for a quiet getaway near Tahoe but wanted something away from crowds but still near tubing for the kids. This cabin is very easy to get to, close to downtown Truckee with great shops and dining. The cabin itself is so comfortable and welcoming - we immediately felt at home. We cooked every night and the kitchen supplies were stocked just perfectly. The bedrooms are set up very nicely with multiple sleeping options and we could've easily had another guest with us without feeling too cramped. We also really loved the neighborhood. We walked our dogs multiple times per day and everyone was really friendly, waving hello. I cannot recommend this cabin and location enough! Thank you Kevin for hosting our family, we will definitely be back soon!

Truckee getaway

Decorated beautifully with nice wood like flooring. and new appliances. Beds were very comfortable. We discovered a side of Truckee we haven't been to and really enjoyed the lake paths by the community center. Had everything we needed. TV setup is actually Roku and the Wifi has a 5G which makes it easy.

Girl's getaway

Perfect size for 4 gals wanting to getaway. Close to Squaw Valley, Historic Downtown Truckee with cute little shops. Wine, Art and music festival in Squaw was nice. Also close to Truckee river and Tahoe City. House had all that we needed included well stocked kitchen and comfortable beds.

Cozy and clean, great value!

Well equipped - had everything we needed, especially to stay warm in all of the snowy weather. There was wood for the stove, electric and fuzzy blankets on the beds, and salt for the driveway. It was a quiet neighborhood but central to skiing and Truckee activities. We will definitely be back. Thank you!

Cozy and Comfortable

The cabin had everything we needed and was comfortable and in a great location. The neighborhood is really nice and very quiet. We especially liked being so close to all the great hiking trails around Truckee, Martis Valley, Donner, and Tahoe. We enjoyed every day of our stay and plan to come again.

Loved it!!

We had a fantastic time; the cabin is cozy and comfortable with everything we needed for a quick weekend getaway. My 10 year old loved the swing in the backyard and we all loved sitting on the back deck looking at the trees during the day and the stars at night. We would definitely recommend this cabin if you’re looking for a quiet mountain retreat that is feels private and peaceful yet close to everything you need. We hope to return soon!

Kathleen & I have been married for 33 years & we have been visiting Truckee at least twice a year for over 30 years. When the opportunity arose to purchase a property here, we did not hesitate. We absolutely love Truckee & the surrounding areas. There are so many activities to particiate in here (all year round) that I cannot begin to list them. We try to visit as often as possible and hope to one day live here full time.

We chose Truckee because it offers so much, during every season. We really enjoy the Glenshire neighborhood because of the location and peaceful feeling the area has.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

The Glenshire neighborhood is wonderful, very quiet and a great location. The home itself is modest but offers so much to visitors. There is wildlife everywhere from a herd of deer that wanders through the back yard to squirrels & rabbits (to mention a few). There are decks on the front & rear of home, that allow for bbq's and family time.
