Islander Condo Unit 107 is an East View, first floor vacation dream that sleeps 6! Update! All NEW Beds and Mattresses in both rooms (Sept 1st, 2023) Named “Good Vibrations” for a good reason - you can easily come and go from the pool and beach - no stairs! no elevators! Enjoy the complimentary beach service as well. Your private patio steps onto the grass. Perfect to watch the family play in the yard or at the pool / hot tub that is an easy 40 feet away. Grill dinner and play shuffle board right outside your sliding doors. For the Tennis and Pickleball enthusiasts you will find The Islander's updated courts right outside your front door in the parking lot. The pool and beach are walking steps from your sliding door and the courts are walking steps from the front door - vacation couldn't be easier!

The beach vibe continues inside with the newly decorated unit. New LVT wood flooring throughout and planking on the walls feel special for your coastal vacation.
The kitchen has updated cabinets and is fully equipped with all the tools to meet your cooking needs. Gather around the dining room table that seats 6 or relax in the living area. Enjoy TV with digital cable access along with free WIFI. There are plenty of plugs for all your personal electronics as well.

The primary bedroom has a NEW king bed and NEW mattress (Sept 1st 2023) and 32" TV. The bathroom has a tub shower combo. The guest bedroom boasts New Queen and Twin beds with New Mattresses and a 32” TV. The guest bathroom has an updated vanity tub shower combo. The sofa is a queen gel foam mattress sleeper.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The unit was very clean. The kitchen came with all the necessary essentials. The bedrooms and bathrooms were clean and ready as well. We had a problem with the garbage disposal and management sent someone within 2 hours to take a look and repair the issue. I loved how close to the beach the property is. A short walk and you were on the beach ready to go.

Unit 107 is one of the nicer units and the owner is dedicated to keeping it that way. That said, the Islander staff has been very good to work with. However, this year we had a very different experience. Newly unpublished and without notification rule changes have led to us not having a rental unit for 2024. This is forcing us to leave our friends of many years behind for the winters as we look for another rental location. It is with regret that we need to publish this review as we say good by to all our friends.

There was black spots on the ceiling in the master bathroom and living room. Not sure what that was but looked suspicious. We could hear everything our neighbors above us did. They were very loud. Almost every night, it sounded like they were running around and/or moving furniture around constantly. The pool seemed to be overcrowded with kids and at times was not the cleanest. Most of this can be expected with resorts. We were overall very satisfied with our stay. Maggie and the other employees at the front desk were always very helpful. That’s the biggest win for me.

Basic unit, great facility.

Overall our stay was enjoyable. However this unit did need a few improvements. The beds were not comfortable at all. The bedding should be updated to something more inviting and cozy. The decorative chair in the living room smelled like a foot and there were questionable stains on the couch. All the electrical plugs throughout the unit were loose and not easily accessible. The sliding shower doors were off track and couldn’t be fixed (we tried.) The master shower didn’t drain well. We couldn’t locate a dust pan to sweep up debris. However, the location of the unit is ideal for pool and grill access. We loved being on the first floor. Our family has stayed at The Islander before and both times the staff has been amazing. The tenants have shown to be trustworthy and friendly. Our children forgot goggles at the pool. Both mornings their things were neatly placed in the pool area. I give The Islander 5 stars and this specific unit 3 overall. Hopefully the owners can do some small updates to give a more inviting and comfortable stay for their future guests.

Good Location, beds need attention, photos of patio view misleading

Pros: 1. Ground floor and right by the pool & grill 2. very short walk to the beach gate & beach 3. the beach service chairs & umbrella are a great bonus! 4. pool & hot tub were great Cons: 1. BEDS! The king bed seems to be a king on a california king frame. There is way too much space between the footboard and the mattress. The bed frame is VERY rickety. Any slight movement and the whole bed is noisy and is shaking a lot. This is also probably the most uncomfortable mattress we have ever slept on. We enjoyed our trip, but we took turns sleeping on the sofa (more comfy than the king bed). PLEASE upgrade this. This is a great unit, but the bed is terrible. Amazon sells iron platform bases for $100 that do not move a bit. A $75 mattress topper and a $120 headboard from Wayfair would make this a completely different experience. One of the twin beds has the same bed frame issue. It seems to be on the verge of falling apart. The bedding is just ok. 2. There needs to be some transparency on the photos provided here. The photo that is shooting outwards to show the view outside the patio sliding doors is very misleading and editied to NOT show the entire Jetty East parking lot that is the majority of your view. This didn't bother us except that it was hidden in the photos and I feel like that is really misleading. 3. Tennis & pickleball courts. The courts are great and a lot of fun! They are very new BUT... the courts you see in the photo that shows your view outside the patio doors is NOT this resort's courts. We walked over to those courts right outside our door only to be told that those were not for our use. The courts are on the other side of the unit by the parking lot for this complex. Again, this is not a big deal except that the photos show those courts and are not marked to let you know that you cannot access the pretty beach-view courts. The same applies to the gazebo thing in the photos. That is also for Jetty East only (the neighboring property). All in all we enjoyed the location and ground floor access to everything. Check-in and the wristbands as keys were great. We would likely book a different unit, though, unless the king bed was replaced.

Very nice. Clean. As with any place it would be nice if neighbors were more considerate. Everyone as very polite/nice. Really wish the kitchen would’ve had a couple potholders moreover I really wished I would’ve noticed that it didn’t have potholders before I had stuff in the oven🙄 would definitely stay again
