The Islander 512 - Sunset View Beach (Seasonally) Heated Pools

Our condo is located on Holiday Isle and is situated on the Gulf. It is a non-smoking unit and also is equipped with a UV Air Purification system. This unit features two bedrooms with a King bed in the master and 2 twin beds in the guest room. 32' TV, two baths, and a queen-sized sleeper sofa 42' TV. There are three TV's, two of which are HDTV flat-screens, and two DVD players. This unit is also equipped with wireless internet access, ceiling fans in both bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, disposal, microwave, and ice-maker.

Enjoy crystal-clear waters, sugar-sand beaches and sunset views that will take your breath away, right from our balcony! Unit 512 was professionally renovated and refurnished. Decorated with colors collected from the sea, this beautiful condominium warmly invites you with sea-glass and sun-kissed colors. The furnishings are contemporary and clean lined with beautiful and unique appointments.

This condo is located in the heart of Destin, Florida yet situated on Holiday Isle giving our guests a more private atmosphere. Restaurants, golf, and shopping among many other things are just minutes away. There are two swimming pools (one heated), tennis courts, shuffle board and a family charcoal grilling pavilion for your enjoyment. The Emerald Coast is consistently rated among the best in the U.S. and for good reason.

We loved the beach!! Alan helped us with the beach chairs and umbrella and greeted us every day with a smile. The pool was beautiful and enjoyed the time there.

We loved the condo and location! The beach access was perfect. My only complaint was that one of the elevators was broken and the other was either very slow and or also not working. Even with this, we will definitely stay again.

Great Beach Vacation

Our condo unit was great. It met all my expectations and more for my 1st experience of staying at a condo(usually stay at hotels). Easy access to the beach and pool. Would definitely return to stay here again!

Wonderful stay in unit 512

Overall Good

Overall the place was good. We had two adults and three children and felt that there was plenty of space for all of us to sleep and relax while in the unit. There are some definite improvements that could be made to the unit (e.g. carpet is very worn and stained, stovetop burners were slanted and difficult to use/cook for evenly, one of the dining table chairs was broken). The property itself was good too. Love that there were two heated pools, beach setup, and activities during the week. The linen exchange was also a nice touch given that there is no in unit washer/dryer. We were there during spring break so getting a spot on the beach was tough and the pools were very crowded but it didn’t stop us from enjoying the vacation. All in all, I would stay at this property again.

Our Exspensive February

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: What began as a long awaited time with friends and relatives ended abruptly when we were called home do to a death in our family. ( my stepson). As we had been there for only one week and had paid in full for four weeks. Knowing that we probably would not be compensated I was amazed that I received an email showing that $1218.14 been charged to my credit card without informing me. How unfair and unethical! It has been resolved but we are left with a bad feeling about the Islander.

Per our policy, we have an automated system that does charge the remaining balance 14 days prior to your arrival which is now 30 days prior to your arrival as of 01/01/23. Per our policy no money will be refunded after that date. We apologize for the inconvenience but we are glad that we were able to resolve this issue for you quickly. Great vacation

Property is clean, nice decorations, lots of towels, and amenities. Great location. I want to voice my opinion. The pool area doesn't have good lighting in the evening and night hours. Too dark. Not safe to walk around because of it.

Beach Trip July 2020

This was the cleanest condo I had ever stayed at. Even the deck was very clean. Overall the experience was great. We did have have an ocean view, but it was not right on the beach as this complex is not beach front. However we only had a 5 minute walk to the beach. Alex came right over and asked if we needed beach chairs and always gave us the best available, he was extremely friendly and knowledgeable of the area. The kitchen was very well stocked. Even had a set of Cuisinart knives. The only downside to the kitchen was that there was very little storage space for groceries for the 5 days we were there and the refrigerator sounded ready to die out on any given day. We were a little disappointed that we did not know about any of the activities scheduled at the complex. There was a live music night that we would have loved to attend. We took advantage of the kayak and paddleboard rentals available right on our beach. It was great fun!! Will definitely consider a return trip.
