Escape to Sandcastle! Family-friendly home just a mile from the beach & Village

This spacious three bedroom home is located in a quiet family friendly neighborhood just one mile from the beach and one mile from the Village. There is a bike path that connects to Ashantilly for easy access to either destination. The house offers a well-appointed kitchen with custom cabinets, granite countertops, and gas range and stove, two remodeled baths with subway tile and granite countertops, and brand new floors throughout.

The master bedroom has a king memory foam mattress for a great night's sleep and has an adjoining bathroom and walk-in closet. The second bedroom has a queen sized bed complete with memory foam mattress and a large closet. The bunk room has a bunk bed as well as a full over twin trundle bed, television, and dvd player. A jumbo pack-n-play is provided for your smallest guests.

Our home also offers several games, puzzles, books, a child's booster seat for mealtime, and beach chairs.

The back patio is complete with a charcoal grill and adirondack chairs.

This is a beautifully appointed one-story home. We felt they had everything we needed and enjoyed waking up there everyday. The living room area was very comfortable and we appreciated the convenience of getting to the beach or the pier fairly easily. There was some communication issues via the VRBO app prior to our stay, but other than that the hosts were very kind and responsive via text after we arrived. We definitely enjoyed our stay.

Wonderful. Relaxed. Location!

We stayed at Sandcastle for 3 weeks and wanted to stay longer. It’s close to everything. Just a golf cart, walk, or bike away. The house is clean, quiet and ready to go. The hosts are wonderful and responsive. The neighborhood is quiet quiet quiet.

Great Time

Property was very clean and came with everything we needed. Traveled with 9 people and there was plenty of space for everyone. Location was great. Was close to the beach and the village. Neighborhood was nice and quiet.

Perfect getaway

Property was perfect for the few days we spent on St. Simons Island. All of the food recommendations were fabulous. Sellers were easy to communicate with and allowed us to check in early. Would stay here again!

BEST VACATION EVER!

We booked a week to spend time with our grandchildren, ages 10-14. The location is great. Nicely furnished, perfect layout with plenty of room to spread out. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. Big dining table for eating together. We felt at home here and would definitely book it again. Waldo was very responsive to our text.

Amazing Location!

Even though it was a short stay, we really enjoyed our time here. Lay out was perfect for a family and location is close to everything. Great quiet neighborhood for evening strolls with the kids.

Weekend getaway

The check-in and exit procedures were simple. The location was clean and a short drive to the beach. We also rented a golf cart which made for easy access.

Wonderful vacation spot!

This was our first time to SSI and we didn’t know what to expect. The island was SO beautiful and full of rich history. The home was perfect for our family! So many thoughtful details for a family stay. We stayed with our 7 young children and it was amazing. The kids LOVED all the books and board games. I really appreciated how well equipped the kitchen was. Lots of serving bowls, Tupperware, baking dishes, and even a high chair. It really felt like visiting a family home and not just a generic vacation rental. Access to the garage for loading and unloading was helpful. We were so grateful for the extra beach chairs, sand pails, etc. Our only critique was that the grill needed to be cleaned and was pretty rusted so we just didn’t use it. But, that was a very minor issue! Thanks for the amazing stay!!!

College move-in weekend

We had five adults staying at the Sandcastle house while we moved our youngest daughter into her college dorm. There was plenty of room for everyone and the location was very convenient to everything on the island. I would definitely stay at this house again if we return to St. Simons Island.

Perfect getaway

The house was in a great central location, very close to the beach, lighthouse, and downtown. House was perfect for our family especially the kids room. Lots of puzzles, books, board games, and movies, which was a lovely surprise. Very clean and comfortable. The BEST part of our stay was the property manager! They were super responsive to any questions we had. Also, my grandmother had accidentally left some sentimental jewelry behind and the property owner was beyond helpful in getting it back to her which meant so much!!!

Home away from home - only better!

Perfect Family Vacation Home

Everything was great! Property in a quiet neighborhood, highly accessible and family-friendly, perfect one-level home with no steps which was super important for our elderly grandparents. Big appreciation for the cleanliness, large washer/dryer and stocked kitchen. Our multi-generational group enjoyed the available amenities/extras such as the charcoal grill, puzzles/board-games, good internet signal and two TVs with streaming service. We highly recommend this place!

Perfect Location

This house was incredibly comfortable for my family. It’s centrally located on the island and just a few minutes drive to multiple beaches as well as restaurants. The house came complete with games for both adults and blankets and chairs for the beach. We had a wonderful time and look forward to going back!

A fantastic family vacation stay!

This place is FANTASTIC! By far the cleanest place we've stayed at in St Simons island. The setup & layout of the house is family friendly. Not huge but was plenty of room for our crew to enjoy. The kitchen was well stocked; plenty of games & puzzles as well. The tv had Netflix & YouTube tv. The internet was very good, & the bathrooms had a good amount of towels. The furniture as been updated since these pictures & looks very nice, as well as a new dining table which fits the space perfectly. The house is beautifully decorated in St Simons island/beach theme. Simple, tasteful, & calming. Everything worked great except the master bathroom toilet. On arrival it wasn't flushing, we plunged it several times to no avail, finally on the fourth & final time we got the clog to clear! *Frustrating* Please note this was most likely a problem left by the previous renters & we did not contact the owners as we got the problem resolved. It worked properly the entire 8 days we stayed there. The outdoor space is small, & uncovered but quiet. (A charcoal grill) The laundry room is huge & so are the washer & dryer! You can tell they love this home & care about it. The neighborhood was very quiet & seemed to be mostly permanent residents. It's location was great for us. Right between East beach/coast guard station & downtown Mallery street. We rented bikes & found the "cut through" great! I would highly recommend this place! A+

The Sandcastle neighborhood is truly a hidden gem. While the entrance is located off Skylane Rd, there is a bike/cart path that connects us to Ashantily for easy access to the Village without having to ride on the main roads.
