Short stroll to beach, restaurants and the village!

Whether you're looking to spend time with your family, friends or by yourself, this cottage is for you. We are located one block west of the Crab Trap, Crabdaddy's and the Beachcomber, 2 blocks from the beach with access through the King & Prince Resort and about a 10 minute walk to mini golf, the public pool, lighthouse and the downtown village.

Recently renovated and decorated, this cottage is comfortable and cozy with 3 bedrooms, 2 with queen-size beds and the bunk room with twin-size beds. The master bedroom has a private bath. The hall bathroom has a huge shower. The kitchen is open with a large island and living room with a fireplace. There is also a game room in the back with a washer and dryer for your convenience. Enjoy your morning coffee on the front porch swing as walkers and bikers wave 'hello' as they pass.

Excellent Location

Perfect location for my young family with 2 small boys. Place is very comfortable, and even more spacious than the pictures show, easy walk to the beach and great restaurants. Thank you for opening you vacation home to us!

Great Stay

This beach home is so cute, great location, and was a perfect space for our family vacation. Check in was easy and communication was excellent. I would absolutely stay here again!

Charming cottage

We absolutely loved this beach cottage. It was close to the beach, shopping and restaurants. We had one little hiccup the day we arrived and contacted Jennifer. She was quick to respond and the issue was resolved. We would definitely stay there again.

Spring Break Blast

We had an incredible week at SSI! The location is perfect to walk to the beach, dinner or to the park. The space was just perfect to accommodate all of us trying to enjoy a meal together. We also loved having the gated back porch area to drop sandy beach items to dry in the sunshine!

Loved it

Very comfortable and clean house in great location. Kitchen was well stocked; beds were comfortable; the cottage just had a very nice feel. This is my favorite location on the island; rental bikes from the shop a couple blocks away, and then everything from East Beach to the Village is a quick bike ride. Everything about the rental process and communication was great.I highly recommend.

Location and Charm

Great SSI cottage with fantastic location and lots of charm! Beautifully updated and decorated! Hall bath is spacious! Would recommend additional silverware in kitchen. Easy check in and check out! Walk to Fiddlers, Beachcombers, Crabdaddys, Crab Trap, The Porch, Frostys! Walk to Pickleball courts or the beach!

Great House!

This is a great house! It took our family about 5 minutes to walk to the beach. The house is clean and simple. The front porch and backyard are wonderful!

Great House, Great Location

The house was perfectly laid out for our two small families and mother-in-law. The kitchen was beautiful and amply supplied, and the bonus room was great for the kids to hang out in during the morning while the adults slept in. Host was very responsive.

Perfect Little Cottage for a Family

The cottage was so charming and provided plenty of space for the family. It was a perfect little stroll to the beach and so close to the local restaurants and shops. We had an amazing visit. I only wish we could have stayed longer!

Very relaxing girls trip

We have nothing but good things to say about this property. The location was perfect, you can literally walk to beach access across the street. The house is so cute and was so comfortable! The porch and the sun room were perfect for our morning coffee. The check in and out instructions were so clear, we had no issues. We had the best experience!

Clean and Comfortable

This is our second stay at the property and it was even better than we remembered. Vintage SSI vibes with modern conveniences. We enjoyed the charcoal grill on the new back patio area. Convenient to public beach access. Front porch swing is a favorite spot to sip morning coffee.

Sweet Property close to restaurants and beach access

We had an amazing time at this cottage on St Simon’s. There was a great amount of space for 2 families of 4. The kids loved the bunk room. We enjoyed cooking in the kitchen, the backyard, the walk to a couple restaurants and the brewery and the short stroll to the beach. It was clean and perfect for our long weekend with family!

Mother’s Day Weekend

My sister and I brought our Mom on a weekend get away for Mother’s Day. We had a great time. The house has that beachy cottage look and feel. We loved the front porch and spent a lot of time sitting out there enjoying the scenery. Great location and within walking distance to many restaurants and shops. The cottage was very clean and neat. Kitchen well stocked with dishes , silverware, drink ware etc… The bedrooms are a nice size with dressers and small closet to put your things away. Loved the sun porch. Very comfortable. Convenience of washer/dryer in cottage. The home has both a regular coffe machine and a Kerig. Bring coffee filters and coffee. You will want to pick up extra paper products, garbage bags, laundry detergent, dishwasher detergent if you stay more than a few days. The furniture in the living was very comfy. The whole cottage was very comfortable. I would recommend this VRBO to anyone. Will be back. My husband and I rented it over a year ago. A good place to rent.

We have always loved coming to St. Simons to visit family and have dreamed of owning a home here. In the spring 2010 we stumbled upon a little cottage that needed help. After months of renovations and collecting furniture we moved in! It has become a retreat from our crazy everyday lives. Jim's Grandmother, Nannie, used to look around at a family gathering and say, 'Look, we're making memories.' We hope to spend many happy years 'Making Memories' here. We hope to to share it with others as well.

We have always loved the simplicity of this sweet island, the ablity to walk to the beach, ride bikes, eat wonderful seafood and just hang out.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

Our little cottage is for a group that wants to spend time together. Unlike many of the larger homes on the island the Making Memories cottage has smaller cozy, yet open spaces. The oversized island and comfortable barstools allow everyone to help or just hang out in the kitchen. The open living area with it's Smart TV and lots of seating is perfect for movie watching and great conversation. A short stroll to many restaurants and the village also makes the cottage a great place to enjoy St. Simons Island.
