A stone-built barn conversion located in Compton Bishop near the town of Axbridge in Somerset, sleeping two people in one bedroom.
Beautifully renovated throughout offering fresh modern comfort while retaining a cozy cottage charm. Relax beside the welcoming wood burning stove after a day exploring the local countryside and coast. One king size bedroom with en suite walk in shower, basin,heated towel and towel rail. All bed linen, towels and tea towels provided. Open plan living space with well stocked kitchen, dining area and comfortable seating centre around the cozy wood burning stove and electric heating and basket of complementary logs is included. The living space includes electric oven, hob, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment, washing machine, smart TV, Wi-Fi and a selection of books and games. An enclosed garden seating area with outdoor furniture and barbecue for alfresco dining. Convenient off road parking for up to two cars into courtyard next to the cottage. Secure bicycle storage perfect for exploring the popular cycle routes. Nearby shop 1.2 miles and two dog friendly pubs 1.6 miles. Welcoming two well-behaved dogs or cats, we provide a wooden permanent stair gate. Dogs however cannot be left unattended and guests would need to have cats caged while out please.The cottage is perfectly located for exploring the countryside, historic market towns and the nearby coastal towns of Weston-super-Mare and Burnham on Sea. The local area offers many places of interest including doorstep walks on the Mendips, Axbridge historic market town which boasts the famous Ripley‘s antique shop often seen on TV, several tea rooms, pubs and King Johns hunting Lodge Museum and Cheddar Gorge and its many cheese tasting establishments. The cottage is perfectly situated for the wider area of all that Somerset has to offer including a twice-weekly market in the city of Wells, Glastonbury, Bristol city, Dunster and the seaside towns of Weston-super-Mare, Brean and Burnham on Sea. Enjoy a later checkout time of 11am. PLEASE NOTE: This property regrettably cannot accept government, council or social services bookings. Worth noting: Smoking and Vaping is prohibited inside the cottage.There are no electric vehicle charging facilities at this property, nearest EV charging is 1.2 miles. Due to the Wood burning stove, the property is not suitable for children under 5 years of age. The property accepts Monday and Friday bookings and short stays are a minimum of 3 nights. Front gravelled area with furniture and small barbecue. Two well-behaved pets welcome (£15.00 per pet supplement). Sorry, no smoking. Shop 1.6 miles, pub 1.2 miles. Bicycle storage (up to 4 bikes). Pre-packaged logs on offer at the property - £6.00 to be left in the honesty box. Permanent wooden stair gates fitted. Please note: Suitable for one infant only. Please note: Minimum stay of 3 nights for short breaks and arrivals only on Friday and Monday please. Please Note: This property doesn't accept children under 5 years of age, due to the log burners - (Babes in arms welcome). Please Note: If your booking is above 14 nights, this needs to be discussed with reservations department first (owners right to refuse booking).
