My family & friends rented this VRBO to celebrate the holidays (our group was 8 adults). What attracted us to this property was all the indoor amenities that were listed in the advertisement. The price was high but seemed reasonable for the amenities offered and the size of our group. Check in was a nightmare! We stood in line for over an hour at the "Welcome Center" just to get a gate pass...that we weren't aware of until we received the welcome email the day before. Upon arrival, we checked all the rooms out and tried to figure out the lights (there are a bunch of switches that don't actually turn anything on). We claimed our rooms... beware of the bunk bed room. If you are an adult group or larger child then this room is NOT for you! We changed to utilize the pool area, and that's where things took a turn. The swimming pool room was FREEZING at 61 degrees. The swimming pool itself was so cold it was very uncomfortable to be in. Plus the ceiling was dripping cold water caused by condensation. The hot tub seemed to be the only appropriate temperature, but was not large enough for our entire group and didn't work very well. We were trying to contact the host of this property, to see if we could get the pool up to temperature. But we learned that either the hot tub can be warm OR the pool can be warm but not both. The hot tub broke our second day (our only full day there) and the host stopped responding. The place needs a lot of updating. Communication with the host was poor.
