A wonderfully cozy vacation home on the IJsselmeer, perfect for couples, friends, or families. The house is a former fisherman’s cottage. Dogs are allowed (max. 2). A fenced-in courtyard, a large private meadow, and a tiny patch of woods with a pond are all part of the property. Go for a swim in the IJsselmeer—just a two-minute walk away—or go sailing on the Frisian Lakes. Frisian villages such as Stavoren and Hindeloopen are nearby.
The house is the rear half of a duplex. Due to the house’s end-to-end layout, it stands completely free, on the outskirts of the village with a view stretching to the horizon. The IJsselmeer, with the small harbor of Laaksum, lies on the other side of the dike, 150 meters away. The cottage is situated in an area designated as a landscape park, so you can enjoy endless walking, biking, or driving tours here. In the IJsselmeer, you can swim, (kite)surf, sail, and fish. The Frisian lakes are also just 3 km away, and the forests in Rijs are 5 kilometers further on. Well-known Frisian villages such as Stavoren, Hindelopen, and Workum are all within a 10-kilometer radius. You’ll need to bring your own bedding and towels. You’ll have the house, the patio, and the surrounding pasture all to yourself. Please watch out for the sheep, especially if you’re bringing a dog. Parking is available in the driveway, which can accommodate 2–3 cars.
