Thank you so much Nancy! We loved having you as our guest and helping bring your trip to life, especially with the horseback riding activities and your dinner. It was so lovely working with you! Sending warm hugs, and we hope to see you again soon at Capanna al Lago or another one of our properties. Thank you so much from all of us at Best of Mas!

Dear Catherine I’m so happy to hear that you had such a wonderful time at Capanna al Lago! It was a true pleasure having you as my guests, and I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for treating my home with so much care and respect. Whenever our guests fall in love with this place, it brings me endless joy. This home holds a very special place in my life and in the history of Best of Tuscan Villas. it’s actually the villa where our company first started, which is why it’s featured right in our logo (the little house surrounded by trees). Thank you again for being such fantastic guests. I truly hope you’ll come back and visit us again soon! I wish you all the best take care of you Francesca

Dear Catherine, Thank you so much for your wonderful review! Hearing your feedback means the world to us and truly encourages us to keep striving for the best. I wanted to reply personally because Capanna al Lago holds a very special place in my heart. This property was passed down to me by my father, and as an architect, I personally renovated it and lived here for many years before opening its doors to guests. Knowing that you experienced and appreciated the love built into this home brings me so much joy and gives me the energy to keep making it even better. Partnering with Best of Mas allows me to provide the level of service and support that I couldn't deliver all on my own, and I am so happy to hear that you had a great stay with us. We would love to welcome you back again one day!

Thank you, happy you enjoyed your time

Ciao Jenniferhank you for your review! It’s always wonderful to hear that our guests had a great time. Unfortunately, as I mentioned right when you arrived, a thunderstorm fried the hot tub's control unit. Repairing it wasn't easy since it happened on a Saturday, a day when electricians and spare parts are incredibly hard to find, but we managed to get it fixed in the end. Regarding the costs you mentioned, I am a bit surprised that this came as a surprise to you, as everything was clearly stated in the listing. Most guests leave the house and stay out all day while leaving all the lights on and the air conditioning running with the windows wide open. Given the extremely high cost of electricity in Italy, this creates an unsustainable expense for us, not to mention a huge waste of energy that goes against our culture. Therefore, we decided to charge for lights and AC. We've found that this encourages guests to be mindful of waste, which is a win for everyone. As for the distance from the center, yes, it takes about 30 minutes to reach Piazza del Campo, but it’s only 15 minutes to the historic center and Via di Camollia, where you will find the most authentic local restaurants and spots in the city. Thank you again for being our guests, and we hope to see you again soon.
