Lovely stay in a beautyful surrounding

We stayed for three nights as a family of three with a dog and couldn‘t be more happier. The cottage is clean and cosy. Henrietta was so nice and helpful and showed us everything we needed to know. Visiting Edinburgh and the surrounding sights is easy, parking in front of the cottage is comfortable and the Estate ist just stunning. We will definitely come back. Thank you very much for having us

Very cute cottage, everything was clean and everyday when sitting outside we say swallows just everywhere which was beautiful to see. Gives a very relaxed vibe, so lovely to stay here.

A really tranquil break

Arniston cottages are a very peaceful retreat from the busy work of today but close enough to Edinburgh and all the local attractions. Our third visit to see family and go out with grandchildren, so we will be back!

A quick week in Edinburgh

My fourth or fifth stay at Arniston House cottages and once more perfect for my needs. The cleanliness and upkeep are top notch and location for visiting my daughter couldn't be handier. The quietness and stars at night with some beautiful fall cover in the day make this a perfect location especially if you are traipsing around the city in the day. Took me a day to figure out the fireplace/heating situation, but resulted in an excellent sleep that night. I would recommend a mattress topper be available as some may find the mattress a little on the too firm side, but that varies from person to person. All in all, excellent stay and would strongly recommend to anyone.

Beautiful bedrooms

The bedrooms, especially the one with the twin beds is an absolutely beautiful room that has stunning original fireplace. Very cute and cozy.

A cosy cottage with charm, character and space!

We loved our stay at Sycamore cottage. It was perfect for the 4 of us. The kitchen is a great size and has a small table perfect for eating or we could eat easily in the sitting room also. The local Tesco is large and had everything we needed. There's also a Morrisons in Gorebridge just a 5 mins drive from the house. The beds were comfortable and the rooms a perfect size feeling airy and light. It's easy parking on site and there's a lovely local walk looking onto beautiful fields. The site is very peaceful making us feel very relaxed. We also drove into Edinburgh daily as it's an easy journey. We'd love to visit again.

Beautiful cottage-Will book again!

Great getaway cottage

We thoroughly enjoyed staying in the Sycamore Cottage. Wonderfully comfortable furnishing and pleasant decor. Beautiful country setting. Would definitely recommend it and stay again.

We loved it! Everything about it, the area, how it was kept up, and of course, Henrietta was wonderful. The location was absolutely beautiful. We already are trying to schedule another stay for next summer.

Amazing place, remote and easy to reach Edinburgh. Fireplace in the evening with the glass of wine is magical. Although windy and cold outside it was cosy inside. Host is amazing, great communication.

Wonderful stay at Arniston!

My family and I had a beautiful week in Scotland at Arniston house. Henrietta was a wonderful host and was very attentive to anything we needed during our stay. We did a tour of the property as well, so much history and beauty on site.

A week in Edinburgh

Return trip with stay at the Arniston House cottages (Elm and Sycamore) given their location, price and they fit my needs perfectly. Always arrive to a fresh smelling and clean cottage with the cooking facilities and laundry facilities that make my stays enjoyable. Add in the quiet countryside with views over the grounds of deer, cattle and the odd rabbit and pheasant and it really makes for an enjoyable stay. It looks like you have made some recent upgrades to the cottages and my only thought would be in your next upgrade plan maybe purchase some mattress toppers for the beds as for my back they are a little too firm. But otherwise wouldn't change a thing and you can count on my return visits in the future.
