Stay on a safe quiet street.Excellent for families with children- and MCRD graduations!!: neighbors are friendly and helpful !6-7 family members can be very comfortable here! WHOLE HOUSE AC!!
Located a short(15 min walk) 6 blocks to 'dog beach',surfing, beaches, and downtown Ocean Beach! Close to all yet relaxing and low, key - this is a beautiful VERY LARGE place, and the street parking is easy and abundant--+AC
The wild OB parrots visit both morning and evening ( in the spring) as local wildlife- and well mannered good family dogs are welcome as a visiting wildlife!Jets do fly over most of Ocean Beach- be up early and enjoy the morning!
The house has been completely updated and offers a full AND READY TO COOK kitchen for family with new appliances. All linens ,towels and soaps are on hand for your convenience!There is a full laundry+ soap in the house. There is AIR conditioning, a fully fenced yard, a BarBQ in a side patio. Boogie boards, chairs, beach towels, toys and wagon are there for your beach play time.
Families and travelers of all variety are welcome to live at the beach here! 8- 9 PEOPLE ARE COMFORTABLE (sleeping bags welcome , too!- squeeze an extra person!) in this big house - no feeling of claustrophobia- this is not a studio or small beach house... Best beach house on VRBO!

This house was just like the listing said! It was a great neighborhood and the house had a bunch of amenities like bikes to help us get around town. We used the futons and all the beds and every room was great! Backyard was an awesome spot to hang out day and night as well!

Great location close enough to the beach but far enough away to not be crazy. Loved the back yard for our dog. Everything was very comfortable including the king sized bed in the master. Would love to come back with more people.

Diane and the house are lovely. Perfect stay with our pets. Everything we needed was there and there’s plenty of space inside and out. Walking distance to the dog beach, local coop and restaurants.

Perfect home away from home

The place is a great vacation home away from home. Have dozens of towels, free ice cream, free muffins, and a great backyard. 20 minutes walk to Ocean Beach. No issues with the street parking and the neighborhood is quiet and feels safe. Highly recommended.

Great location for a stay in San Diego!

We enjoyed our stay in Diane’s cute home. The backyard is beautiful and enjoyable to relax in. We had everything we needed to be comfortable. The location is the best! It’s within walking distance of great restaurants and coffee. You do have to get used to airplanes flying over during the day, but the location makes up for the extra noise. We would definitely choose to stay again.

Perfect fit

From the start, the host, Diane, was terrific. Her communication was just what you would hope for. The arrival process was simple and seamless. The amenities were as described and we did not want for anything. The WiFi and streaming services were also convenient and reliable. Even though it is just blocks from the beach, there was always ample parking out front. The backyard was very large and certainly dog friendly, as described. We felt welcome and relaxed. We would definitely return!

Wonderful

We had a wonderful 2-week stay and the cottage was perfect! We truly appreciated all the extras like COFFEE, alum foil, plastic wrap, spices, PAM, shampoos etc. The Berkey was amazing. Also loved the commercial stove. Very very nice!Such a great dog friendly home. THANK YOU again to Diane. We will fondly remember this trip to San Diego & will highly recommend this little cottage.

Perfect location, Host, and Stay

This lovely house and yard fit our needs perfectly for a week long getaway along with our pets. We had an uncommon need with our varied pet birds plus large dog and the hostess accommodated us wonderfully. We did our best to keep it all clean and had no issues, and all species were happy. I loved the enclosed back yard to hold our dog. This is very clearly a dog friendly and pet welcoming spot. Amenities were comfortable and plenty, I couldn't imagine anything better for our needs, and I hope to return again! Highly recommended, although I hope I don't have to get in a long line for next time once I let out the secret of this great place !

Everything we needed and more!

We knew we wanted to head to SD for Fall Break and after scrolling endless homes, Diane’s pic of a pizza grabbed me right in!!! From booking to heading back home, Diane was on top of everything and very caring for our specific needs. I was travelling with my handicapped daughter and her retired service dog, and she helped tremendously by crafting a ramp for the front door for them!! The grass fenced in back yard was perfect for all the doggies!! After our car ride they enjoyed some zoomies! The house is bigger than most in the area and had everything you’d need! We forgot to sign the guest book but she did have a board full of good local eats! Her living close by gave it a very homey feel and I already miss the super hot shower and sun room! The mattresses were cloud like and we all slept great. Clean, simple, large, comfortable and dealing with a local owner already has its making plans to go back!!

Beach getaway

We really enjoyed staying at this darling beach house. It was comfortable, clean and well stocked with the essentials. There were even some boogie boards and beach chairs for us to use. The backyard was safely fenced for our dogs and was welcoming and pretty. The only negative as others have mentioned is the air traffic pattern goes right over ocean beach. However, I found myself tuning out the airplanes easily. The host was terrific at communicating and even left a yummy treat for us in the fridge for our arrival. If you are visiting ocean beach I would definitely recommend this property.

Great little place to call home away from home

Other than the noisy air planes flying overhead, this was a wonderful home away from home to use during a stay in San Diego. Diane had everything we needed for our stay and we had accommodations for all seven of us in our family. And Diane was extremely nice and quick to respond to messages. Definitely a great place to stay.

A gem!

Classic California beach cottage, located in the fun, yet laid back neighborhood of Pacific Beach. The cottage is easy to “ live in”, as you enjoy all the fun San Diego has to offer. Great beds, ample bed and bath linens for the whole family. 2 futons, and a cozy kitchen. Cozy living room, with a big screen TV. We loved the antique dining table and chairs. Bring your family! Location, location , location… only about 15-20 minutes to Downtown San Diego. Dog friendly house, sweet, well kept yard. Enjoy it all!

Beach life

Perfectly situated bungalow with easy walking distance to beach, restaurants and grocery. House had a kitchen and laundry so great setup for families, including some outdoor space. For light sleepers or folks traveling with littles, bring your hatch or use the provided box fans to drown out some of the airplane noises. We would absolutely return here on our next visit.

Wonderful cottage close to the Ocean

Our family of 9 stayed here for four days and loved it! It fit everyone comfortably and had a great backyard with a little fire pit area to roast marshmallows and barbecue. This house was close access to Sea world, the beach and much more! Our dog would have loved it if we brought her because Diane had all the things like a dog bed, crate, leash and toys and backyard for it. She also had stuff for the beach for us that we could use. Diane was fabulous to work with and made us yummy bread that was ready when we arrived. Great place and service!

Super stay in OB!

We rented the property for a whole month and it had everything we needed for a great stay. Our host was excellent and very attentive to all requests. The house is perfect for our pet and is in great proximity to the dog beach. We went every day and really appreciated the dog wash in the back yard. The neighborhood is quiet and far enough from the beach area to be peaceful yet close enough to go every day. We would definitely come back again!!

I will take excellent care of you. I will work with you on any details--( if you need something special waiting for you, if you need a hand, if you have a problem: I will be on hand to help out!) I am a neighbor and ready to help!

This home has vintage charm. The bookcases are 'built in' to the wall and the china cabinet is finely crafted and built as part of the dining room wall. People are fascinated with the unique
look of years ago--rarely see these anymore!
All new plumbing, newly rewired electricity of the whole house. New kitchen- new appliances, new paint throughout the whole house and all oak wood floors just refinished. The house is all newly updated in all ways! New backyard fences and landscaping lawn for kids and yard living ( table for dining with umbrella _
) upgraded during 'lockdown'---
The house is not 'cookie cutter' - it is a wonderful step into a less stressed out time of living- and you feel it when you step in!
