Best we have stayed in so far

We use Anglesey holidays a lot since retirement around 5 times this year and the moorings in my opinion is the best. We all had the best time ever and am ready to book again i don't usually leave a review but feel this place deserves a mention we will be back soon brilliant place all round

Great place & location

We had a fantastic stay at The Moorings. The location was perfect, just a short walk to the beaches, which made it ideal for a family getaway. The Moorings had everything we needed and the arrival hamper was a really nice touch. Rhosneigr was lovely - Great coffee at Notos, Fish & Chips was delicious from Scarlett’s. We’d definitely recommend it and would love to return.

Easy walk to the beach

Overall the house was in a perfect location, short walk to the beach. Good size house, plenty of beds, but not enough storage for clothes. The sink in the downstairs bathroom doesn't drain very well. The cooking facilities were difficult with the hob not heating if you had more than one saucepan on, with 4 saucepan going at the same time it was a challenge. Overall it was a lovely stay, but could do with fixing the hob,.

Lovely property at great location

Stayed as a party of 12, we found everything we needed for a short stay. Great location, lots of bedrooms and bathrooms. Nice warm cosy home. We will use Anglesey Holiday Lettings again! Thank you

Lovely property

This is the 4th time we have booked with Anglesey Holiday Lettings & we have not been disappointed. We stayed at The Moorings this time which is a beautiful 5 bedroom property. The location to the centre & beach was under 10 minutes walk away. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay & can’t wait to go back.

Great place to stay, nice and clean. New sofas in lounge much more comfortable thank you. Our go to place to stay on the island.

The Moorings is in a beautiful location just a short walk to the beach. It was spotlessly clean and very well equipped. The Moorings was the perfect house for our family holiday.

Good value for money

We were a group of 8 (6 adults and 2 children) and overall the property suited our needs, but I think it would be crowded less comfortable at full capacity. Whilst there are plenty of bathrooms, some general maintenance and obscure film to the windows would be of benefit. One shower was not very powerful and some plugs slow to drain. I would also expect at least one loo roll provided per bathroom at check in (3 small ones are provided). Some deep cleaning and sorting of kitchen provisions would be good. As others have said we struggled to get 3 or more rings working on the hob & food stuck to the frying pan. Seating by the BBQ area was nice, but some outdoor seats directly from the kitchen would be good. Coat hooks and shoe racks in the entrance would be useful and more storage options in some bedrooms could be provided. Customer service and responses to emails and enquiries was good before and during the holiday. We also made use of the free golf passes which was easy to sort. I would stay here again, but do think the property and provisions could do with a bit of a refresh and some routine maintenance.

Great location

We had a lovely stay in the moorings celebrating a family birthday, a good house for a get together we didn't have the best weather so didn't get to utilise the garden / barbacue area but it would have been amazing if we could . The house was very clean , comfy beds and good kitchen equipment .It is in a great area short walk gets you to the lovely beaches ( fab watching the kite surfers ) and to the centre with cafes , restaurants . We had the best time and would definitely recommend for larger family gatherings .

Fantastic family holiday with 3 generations

Thank you so much for a great stay at The Moorings, Rhosneigr. We last visited Rhosneigr with our two children over 20 years ago and have just returned with one married with two young boys and the other with her boyfriend. The house was amazing and such a great space to spread out. We made full use of the barbecue, beach stuff and washing machine (will bring our own pegs next time) and the boys loved the snug as their playroom. Nice to have several options for dining and a spacious hallway. The garden was put to use as well and location was great for Broad Beach, which we prefer, both during the day and at night. The property was very clean and we loved the wine fridge, huge double fridge/freezer and having some cupboard space for our huge food shop!! Some of the pans were past their best and the knives were a bit blunt (again can bring our own). Mattresses could perhaps be a bit comfier and as a choice we would prefer one twin room upstairs to be swapped with the double bed downstairs to suit our family dynamic better. Overall the stay worked for us and the family loved it so much they asked me to rebook for next year - which I have done. Great base for visiting the rest of Anglesey and nice being able to park all cars on the drive. Look forward to returning next year with them all.

Great house and location

This is the third time we've stayed at The Moorings. It is a great house for families. They are two outside seating areas to catch the morning and evening sun. It is just a short walk to both beaches making the location ideal too. The kitchen has plenty of equipment for 12 people and a second dining table. We've had great holidays in this house and would definitely recommend it to others.

Excellent well maintained property 5 min walk from the centre and beach. Tenin walk to the oyster catcher. Really clean throughout and super comfy beds. Our 2nd time staying won’t be the last..

Lovely holiday let.

The Moorings was a very well equipped holiday home and had everything you needed. It was very bright and airy and plenty of space to move about for a large family holiday. Outdoor space was great for BBQ's etc. weather permitting! The house was in a quiet cul-de-sac very convenient for the beach, shops, cafes and pubs. Overall a very enjoyable holiday with the family!

Family gathering

For a group of 8 adults, 2 toddlers and 2 babies, this was the perfect venue. Two social spaces, a large kitchen and 4 bathrooms made the five-day stay fly past. The beach is a two minute walk and there are friendly eateries and pubs close by. Would definitely recommend and will probably return.

Lovely family house

The Moorings is a lovely family house with beautiful furniture and a lovely private wraparound garden. The bed linen and towels were all clean, soft and very white and we all enjoyed our holiday there. Plenty of parking for four cars and different areas of the property where you could find a quiet spot, a sun trap or somewhere to hang the washing out! The only thing I'd mention is that when going in a multi-generational holiday group it didn't work for us personally. After paying for the house I had hoped to have the large bedroom upstairs but the stairs proved a problem for my husband who suffers from Parkinsons - he needed a handrail he could get hold of for the whole length of the stairs and the baby gate was too much of a trip hazard for him to negotiate several times a day so we relegated ourselves to the family room downstairs! Re cleaning the house, I'd have liked a better vacuum cleaner. The present one (I think he was called Henry) is very heavy to take upstairs and smelled very strongly of dog. And I had complaints from the family about the thin curtains or blinds which didn't block the light. Holiday in June, expect to be wakened around 4.30 am - although the teenagers upstairs didn't seem to notice.

Great holiday home

We recently returned home from a wonderful week stay in Rhosneigr at the Moorings - family of five plus Nan and two dogs. What a fabulous house. You couldn’t ask for more (except maybe a mirror in a few of the bedrooms!). The house was wonderfully laid out and plenty of room for us all. The enclosed garden was perfect for our two dogs. Spotlessly clean and a well equipped kitchen. This was our fifth year staying in Rhosneigr with Anglesey Holiday Lettings but this was by far the best house. Hope to return in the future. Excellent multi generational stay

Well proportioned house for our party of 7 adults,child and dog. Good location. Only seating for 5 on sofas in living room which is surprising given that the house sleeps 12. Additional sofas in snug but meant that the party was separated. House is well equipped, although vegetable peeler and teapot lacking in kitchen. Outside areas a mixture of paving and grass with plenty of seating. Another great rental from AHL.

Rhosneigr Out of season

We stayed in January for a family get together to celebrate a milestone birthday. The property is well located and about a five minutes walk from the beach, restaurants and shops in Rhosneigr. The Oystercatcher is also a short walkable distance from the property. We had 11 people who slept one night and the other nights between four and five, the property is spacious and even at capacity it didn't feel cramped. Three of the five bedrooms were en-suite, with the two downstairs share a bathroom. Although we didn't use the outside space there was plenty of room to sit outside to socialise, have a BBQ etc. There was also a utility room attached to the garage to dry wetsuits etc. Parking is not an issue at all.There is parking for easily four vehicles. If you have more and don't mind being blocked in you'd probably get six in. The property was clean and well presented and we had a lovely winter stay at a reasonable price.
