Richard, Thank you for the response. We are pleased the space worked well for your group. In reviewing the listing, I was not able to find a hot tub listed. While we have contemplated getting one, the safety and liability issues, have discouraged it. That said, reviewing the listing the only jetted tub, is the master jacuzzi. If you see differently, please reach out to us personally. We desire no miss-perceptions in the Pinnacle Retreat’s listing.

Troy was to be asked to leave by the police due to neighbor complaints and several violations to house rules & city guidelines. We have not ever had to do this before. It’s unfortunate. We would not recommend Troy as a guest. Prior to leaving his guests ran around the house with a red sharpie and left messages for us. They also stole expensive equipment from the home and threw things off the balcony. If you want a group to drink all day, come out at night to disrupt the neighborhood and vandalize your home - Troy is your guy.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad you enjoyed the spacious layout of the home and the beautiful views of Salt Lake City. We do want to clarify several points mentioned in your review. On the day of check-in, we personally visited the property to address the reported water concerns, and at that time all water sources in the home were functioning properly with hot water available throughout the property. We were not made aware of any unresolved plumbing issue after that visit that prevented use of the home. We also take safety very seriously. The home is equipped with nine fully functioning smoke detectors, and the property has never experienced water damage. The discoloration referenced is not related to moisture intrusion or structural issues. Throughout your stay, we remained responsive to requests and provided additional kitchen items, prior to your arrival for you to cook Christmas meals. Some of those items were purchased solely for your group as other groups have never expressed the need for requested items. It is also important to note that the stay was completed in full, and the concerns raised in this review were primarily brought forward after a request for a complete refund was denied. We always strive to provide a positive experience for our guests and appreciate all feedback as we continue maintaining and improving the property.

It was not shocking nor unexpected that Shane would leave this review. Two weeks after his stay, for which he responded positively, he wrote a threatening, extortion email, stating that if we did not give him a full refund, he would leave a severely negative review, saying that "he would hit us where it hurt, right in the pocketbook" It's sad that guests exist like Shane. While the rest of us are striving to support the VRBO community, others are sacrificing owners for their personal gain. My impression is that his only intent was to stay at the Pinnacle Retreat free of charge, and fabricated and grossly misrepresented the stay to that end. Any group staying with us can expect everything to be clean and in working order. Over 50 extremely satisfied groups have stayed in our home during the last year, and we take great pride in delivering a first-rate, 5-star experience.
