For the first time, I would like to take the liberty of responding to a review left by one of my guests, and I do so with the utmost respect for the perspective you have shared. Ansana is a small hamlet in the municipality of Pescaglia, in the province of Lucca, situated at an altitude of approximately 328 metres above sea level. It is a rural locality nestled in the greenery of the Tuscan hills, home to around thirty residents, and during the school year it is served by a school bus for the children and teenagers who live there. Our property is located about 300 metres before the entrance to the village. I understand that arriving here can at times be unexpected for those not accustomed to driving on hilly roads; this is why I always try to offer clear guidance upon arrival, to make the experience as smooth and pleasant as possible. That said, I would gently suggest that describing the area in terms such as “mountain” or “sheer drops” may be a little misleading for those unfamiliar with the region. I was truly sorry that you chose not to come inside to see the house or to spend at least the first evening with us—especially as you had already arrived. Other guests have not expressed similar concerns, and I believe that taking the time to rest for a night and perhaps speak with them might have helped to bring a sense of calm, allowing you to make a more considered decision. If, in any way, you felt unwelcome or unsupported, I offer you my sincere apologies—please know that this was never my intention. Ensuring that every guest feels comfortable and valued is always at the heart of what I do. Nonetheless, I wish to thank you for sharing your experience—even if it was not a positive one—as it will help future visitors to assess all aspects of the stay, including those that are more subjective.
