Newly renovated (2017) One Bedroom - One Bathroom, fully furnished and all appliances included. There is even a washer and dryer (coin-operated) in an attached laundry room. This cottage is part of "Salty Breeze Cottages" located at 1535 Ocean Blvd in Rye, NH. There are two sister cottages roughly the same size and a 3 Bedroom Cape House located on site. This is a family owned and operated vacation rental. All bed linens and bathroom towels are included in your rental fee (unless noted) and there is off-street parking for 2 vehicles. Cottage #3 is a NON-SMOKING / PET FREE rental, no exceptions. Free WI-FI and Cable are included. Location is on Ocean Blvd in Rye, across the street from Foss Beach in Rye, which is nearest Rye Harbor and a stone's throw from Jenness Beach. So much to see and do!

What a lovely place to stay. We were there for 3 nights and it was so inviting.The little kitchen was just right and the outside gas grill was perfect.Will definitely come again. Host was very accommodating.A deer visited one morning, saw a bunny the next day ā€¦. Just across the street from the ocean..who could want for anything more!

Super cute place on the shore!

From the moment we walked in, we loved this super cute, clean cabin on the shore of NH. The neighborhood is quiet, and the ocean is just a few yards away. I loved listening to the waves as I fell asleep. Walk to the beach at low tide or a quick drive/bike to Jenness. We loved it and hope to be back soon!

Comfortable cottage in a great location!

The cottage is great! It is recently renovated, bright, clean and comfortable. It has everything you need. The view of the salt marsh is a bonus. At night, we could sit and listen to the ocean as we drifted off to sleep. The location is excellent - right across from the ocean. Seafood (Ray's, Petey's, Lobster Pound) are walking distance. The nicer beaches (Jenness, Wallis Sands) are a short drive. Hampton and Portsmouth are 10-15 minutes drive. Gerry met us when we arrived and made sure we were all set. Loved it!

Private and Quiet

Just a short hop south of Portsmouth, this spacious and quiet cottage is surrounded by open nature on two sides, cottages and a main house on the other side, and beach access across the road. We enjoyed watching the storms while relaxing on the front patio. There is a laundry room with machines that take quarters. Bring extra towels for an extended stay. Otherwise, the hosts were super nice and available for any issues. Highly recommend.

The shower is a bit small and they only provide two towels and two wash cloths. The washer costs $1.50 and the dryer is $1.00. We had to get quarters to use them.

Loved it!

The cottage was clean, beautifully updated and well appointed. I brought more than I needed, as they had thought of everything! The location is just across the street to the beach access, but know that you need to go up and down the rocks to get to the beach which was quite nice and not too many people there. It is an excellent location for exploring the coast and just down the road from Ray's.

Incredible stay and best location!

My husband and I have been going to Rye NH for ten summers now since we started dating. This was by far the BEST stay we have had. Location was perfect right across from the beach and a short drive to Portsmouth and Kittery (two of of favorite places to eat and shop). Great customer service and the most beautiful renovations- the cottage felt like home. The owners stopped by to greet us and were very friendly and around if we needed anything. Great views and the salty air off the ocean could not be any better. Highly recommend 110%!!!

Fall Getaway

The cabin was great. The size, location and accessibility to things we wanted to do were all exactly what we wanted. What made it a little less than perfect, and this is nit-picking, is that you cannot see the ocean from inside the cabin. However, it's immediately across the street, so it is very pleasant to listen to at night.

All in All, Disappointed.

The Owners were attentive and helpful, with cleaning crew every 2-3 weeks during our 2 month stay. Unfortunately the quality level of the Living Area furniture, including a 2-stool table that I assume is supposed to act as a dining table, was poor-to-mediocre (not a good idea to use painted horizontal surfaces on tables!). The bed was of poor quality, with only one bedstand and a mattress that sagged badly in the center. The small bathroom had a very small shower in which attempting to turn around was an adventure...don't drop the soap! The unit had just been renovated this year, so the interior details were fresh and professionally done. There is usually a lovely breeze coming in from the oceanfront or the marshes behind the building, so rarely is A/C necessary. As for the kitchen, minimum dishes, cups and eating utensils were wholly inadequate for an 8-week stay, and that includes the cookware. Seldom did we eat out at restaurants, so the kitchen's minimalism impacted us even more. Fortunately we used an older outdoor gas grill that was provided, and that helped. But the issue that really irritates has to do with the WiFi, or should I say "lack of". It was so poor that we had to add to our cellular plan at an extra cost, due to using up our plan's basic. That was a first! There shouldn't be any reason not to have Comcast cable-ready WiFi with adequate strength, given the rental price we paid.

Despite this, we are now on the 3rd (going on 4th) generation of our Family owning and operating our "Ancestral Home" on Ocean Blvd in Rye. Along with Cottage #3, we also own and operate Cottage #2 and Cottage #4, additionally, The Main House. All of our constriction and remodeling are done with our own hands as we are in the Construction Business and have been for many years. We welcome you to enjoy our Oceanfront home and cottages for your family vacation or getaway.
