Goldfinch Cottage is a stunning Victorian house, modernly decorated to a high standard. As you walk through the front door after a long day exploring Whitstable, sink into the large comfortable sofa in front of a crackling fire with a glass of wine or a good book. The stylish kitchen is fully equipped to cook a hearty meal using the local fish caught in the working harbour. It comes with an extra fridge and a dishwasher, to save the washing up! The dining table & chairs look out through the bi-fold doors to the decked garden with comfortable seating, and scented with honeysuckle. The utility room is convenient with a sink, washing machine, fridge & freezer.
Upstairs you will find 3 bedrooms; 1 Kingsize, 1 Double & 1 Twin, all with Victorian furnishings. The relaxing bathroom has a shower over the bath, WC and basin.
The town, beach, Harbour and Whitstable Castle are all only a couple of minutes walk which makes it easy to pop to the shops and eat out at the many restaurants. You can enjoy a boat trip , hire bikes and learn to paddle board if you're feeling a bit more adventurous!
Visits to the surrounding towns of Herne Bay with it's historic Pier and Canterbury with it's breathtaking Cathedral are only a short bus ride away with busses running every 15 minutes.
There is free street parking on the road and surrounding roads. The nearest paid parking is Gorrell Tank car park. You can view the charges on the Canterbury City Council website. Parking can be limited in the high season but once you have parked up, you are close enough to walk into town, beach, shops etc.

There are frequent busses running from Whitstable to Herne Bay and Canterbury. You will find bus stops along Harbour Street, High Street, Oxford Street etc.
The trains from Whitstable station will take you to Ramsgate or further afield to London. Whitstable Train Station is about a 10 minute walk to the town centre.
There are also Taxi services available for short fares or airport runs. The nearest airport is in London and the Ferry port is in Dover.
